Rice is a player with good potential despite his age because he has more years to demonstrate his talent. There is no doubt that Thomas Partey is a superior player than Rice, but Partey's age is what prevented Arsenal from extending his contract.

I start to think that even the Liverpool rumor might be part of Mbappe's plan to make even more money and push the clubs to raise their offers. But up to which point is this serious business or when does it become ridiculous?

It’s not about who’s best or who sits on the bench. Arteta has always wanted to work with a young squad. Towards the end of last season, Thomas Partey seemed tired and uninterested in some of their games and couple with the reoccurring injuries that’s made him missed some of their important games, I don’t think Arteta would want to go down the same route with Partey this season.
