Mount is a decent player but I really don't see how he fits in their team. They need central midfielders, they have way too many players that play attacking midfield or on the flanks.

I'm glad that Liverpool dodged the bullet here - because the same thing applies to us as well. Mount is good, but where would he play?

I really like that we're closing in on a deal for Szoboszlai though. That guy can be a top class player, and 60 mil euros sounds like a fair price.

I am guessing that it was more like a quick move so that United fans wouldn't get mad. I mean between the take over deal and all the other things that's going on right now, United fans are getting incredibly pissed and that is hurting the bottom line of United as well. That means if the team gets worse, Glazers can't sell the team for this much, they are already rejecting the offers they are getting at this moment, can you imagine if it got even lower? That would be a nightmare for them.

He is still young though and he can improve.

I think atletico madrid will complete his transfer as soon as possible. Finally, aspilicueta will be going back to his country after he has been playing for chelsea more than a decade.

Liverpool didn't splash €80m for an average striker that can create opportunities and make an impact on the team. The club expected much from him that was why they invested so much to buy him. The price of both players could be used to compare them. Haaland cost €60m and has performed very well while the more expensive striker Nunez has not contributed immensely to Liverpool. He is not the first expensive player to disappoint and maybe next season could be better for him.

I think Barcelona actually were interested in him last season's summer transfer window when Chelsea lost most of their defenders. They were interested in 3 names- Marcos Alonso, Christensen and Azpilicueta. While they managed to sign Alonso and Christensen, Azpilicueta was actually interested to move to Spian but he instead decided to play for another 2 years at Chelsea eventually. Now Barcelona is no more interested (I guess) which is why Atletico Madrid just swooped in the perfect opportunity they had.

Yes, now Newcastle seems to be making Serie A a field for hunting new players. Previously, Newcastle had Sandro Tonali and Nicolo Barella. Szoboslai is an amazing signing for Liverpool. One of the best transfers for them this seasons and this will help them a lot for attacking the title. Nunez for me was terrible signing. He was really good in Benfica but in Liverpool he is really bad and any other striker would have done a lot better then him.

I got the news of his signing when I woke up today and immediately checked out what kind of player he is and some highlights of his performances for Leipzig and I must say, I'm impressed with Liverpool's team for an incredible find. So far so good, Everything is looking good in Liverpool's squad - Midfield and attack have been strengthened. Not sure we need a new defender but it would be nice to have.

About Nunez, as a fan of the player and club, I would admit that his performances were not top of the class in his first season and haven't really shown why Liverpool spent so much to acquire him. Liverpool got him simply because they couldn't get Haaland so they desperately needed someone like him. This season, he's getting quality midfielders to feed him the ball, I hope he meets the expectations of Liverpool fans next season.

His first season was terrible and the second season if he dosent play good and show the results i think he wont get any more chances in the club. This isnt the Portugal league where only 3-4 teams dominate over the others. Here even when you play against the last team in the league its hard to score. So he needs to get serious and start scoring from those easy chances.
