I hope that Chelsea does not make a mistake. Because I do not think that it is the fault of the players that they are not being able to perform well. I personally do not think that the tactics of Graham Potter are the best suited for Chelsea. I do not understand what they are thinking. First of all, they brought this coach when they had the option for Zidane. And now they are backing him up with the money. I certainly think that this is going to be a stupid decision.

Arsenal are confident of completing the £80m signing of Mykhailo Mudryk, 22, from Shakhtar Donetsk in time for the Ukraine winger to make his debut against Manchester United next weekend. The Ukrainians were obviously very demanding negotiators and it seems that they managed to raise the price of their player.

What's this at this point, €100 million for an unknown players that's playing in such a farmers league. I guess Todd Boehly just want to keep wasting money. Why didn't he go for Enzo Fernandez as we initially thought the club was going to do but later backed out. I just hope he isn't trying the pull another Enzo Fernandez type of negotiations. They are both midfielders but Enzo Fernandez mind was at Chelsea while that of Mudryk is at Arsenal. While leaving someone that wants to play for you to go chase after someone that wants another club. Todd Boehly should be careful to avoid another Lukaku situation.

Mudryk is a young player and has a great potential and the club values him at 100 million euro. Sometimes you can get quite a gem from these farmer leagues though. He is a good player and right now Chelsea and Arsenal seem to be in the race. With Enzo Fernandez I believe they Benfica didn't agreed to negotiate further as they valued Fernandez at 120m but Chelsea were willing to offer below that. Ultimately Enzo to Chelsea is off now but that really would have been better for Chelsea. Now they have to work things out with Kante and extend his contract.

I am not sure what is happening right now at Chelsea but they are looking into good strong potential players. Much of the recent transfers of Chelsea are the names I haven't heard so they are picking what they think are a unique talent and will help them in future.

When i first read that sentence i was pretty sure that this was just another rumor from twitter or from an untrustworthy newspaper or website but then i saw that it was reported by the bbc and the telegraph and that was pretty surprising to me. As you already said, usually clubs just exchange the coach when they are having a bad time without any change in sight. The reason for that is quite simple, it is way easier (and of course also cheaper) to just replace 1 coach instead of replacing 5 or even 10 players. So i am still not sure if Chelsea is really going to change up their squad so much. I still think that Chelsea should have never fired Thomas Tuchel, as he is one of the best coaches in the world.

They had better do so. Because they can't achieve anything by changing their manager very often. Yeah things are going on really bad for the team these days. But there is nothing to do other than being patient and giving Potter some time to start a good form with the team. This season is already wasted for Chelsea that's for sure. They will just focus on finishing at the best position they can.

They need to make their plans seriously considering next season. Because the expectations from Chelsea will be bigger then. Because Potter will have got accustomed to the team very well until then. He should be able to have a good season with Chelsea as of then just as he did it with Brighton before.

It seems like that atletico madrid prefers to use memphis depay rather than felix. Felix has been loaned to the chelsea but he has the worst time in his new club. It seems like that the main target by atletico madrid was depay. The money that already got by loaned felix to the chelsea will be used to buy depay.

I read rumors online that the current coach of Atletico madrid mightn't last long at his job then him and Felix aren't in good relationship and that's the reason behind the loan. Also note that there wasn't an option for Chelsea to buy Felix if the loan was to be an successful one, that means Atletico madrid are still interested in Felix. Probably they just want him to have better playing time at Chelsea and develop more. Delay isn't a long term solution at Atletico Madrid so it doesn't matter of Felix was loan out while he was bought.

I hope Chelsea knows what they are doing by spending so much money. First of all, I do not think it is a good idea to invest in a coach that is not bringing in results. And secondly, they are talking about fixing all the problems by making player transfer not the change of authority. I think it would have been easy to change the authority instead of changing the players.

But anyway if we talk about the transfer I think Mykhailo Mudryk is obviously going to be a good one for Chelsea. Now it is a different story that Chelsea will probably not be able to utilize him properly.

Thuram has the potential to generate a lot more money in my opinion. There is no doubt that this is a very lucrative deal for Chelsea. They were able to get this player for such a low price. In spite of that, I am not sure if Chelsea is going to be the right club for him. With all the problems that Chelsea is facing right now, it is no wonder why.

Manchester United have received serious takeover interest from the Middle East, Asia and America and are poised to invite formal bids from them by next month's deadline. British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe is also expected to bid for the club. In the end, who will bid the most and take over the club? The Saudis again?

According to my opinion, there is a very high chance that Saudi Arabia is going to take ownership of Manchester United in the near future. In addition to the money they have, the Saudi football scene is also getting more attractive at the moment.

Newcastle are interested in Ruben Neves signing while his contract is expiring in less than two years. I don't think Wolves can hold him at the team anymore as long as they got an offer from a bigger and a very rich team like Newcastle. You know how strong Newcastle have been performing since the start of the season. They are one of the serious candidates of top 4 now. They don't have any money issue at all as well. In this situation signing Neves wouldn't be much difficult for them. I think he is still a good player by the way but he is just wasting his time with Wolves.

Besides Newcastle should look for bigger transfers especially if they manage to qualify for the Champions League. They will have all the things they need to sign top players in that case.

Romano reports that there is still final agreement to be found and it is getting very close. Chelsea still needs personal terms agreed while Arsenal has the priority, personal terms and all , but just needs a final fee for both parties to agree on but is close. What even funny is that Mudryk is already on his way to London already while the clubs negotiate his deal . 

He is a great player though and Arsenal will love to have him in their team. The guy so much wants his move to Arsenal happen.

Everyone is almost too sure that Graham Potter will be fired. I think this expectation also affects the motivation of the players. They may have wanted to increase the motivation of the players by stating that they trust Graham Potter. I don't think they're really going to remove all the players from the team.

I think Chelsea need a striker like Didier Drogba or Diego Costa. This might make some changes to Graham Potter's game plan, but I think they look like they really need it on the pitch. They were hasty in sending Lukaku to Inter.If they had kept Lukaku in the team, Lukaku wouldn't have made Chelsea champions but he would have solved some problems.

Chelsea already bought some strikers instead of making its midfielder and defensive like become stronger but chelsea was only focusing to the attacking line which is very disappointed. I think that chelsea needs to do so many things to recover its performance. Felix is having horrible performance during his debut. That doesn't even make sense to call him as a good player while his debut proves that if he was not even capable enough to be a good striker.
The red card has been proving how bad he is. Chelsea was making another failure transfer.

But before leaving the field, Felix actually played impressively. The 23-year-old striker fired the most shots (6 times) with 4 of them on target and dribbles were successful 2 times. He also made Chelsea get 4 free kicks. Because he got a direct red card, Felix will be absent for three matchweeks, I also think Felix on his first debut might be too excited so yeah I think it's only natural even if it hurts Chelsea

I think it's not about one player being good or not in this case, but more about they lacked in other positions and yet they still didn't do much about it. I mean we are talking about a team that required some midfieldiers for a long time and even maybe a defender, and yet they decline to buy someone at that position and instead keep on investing into strikers which is not a smart idea.

Of course Joao is a great player, I like him too and I am sure he will help the team a lot when the time comes but we are talking about a position that they do not need. If they could spend a lot of money on buying a midfielder, that would be a smarter decision for sure.

Of course this is not without reason after Joao Felix was loaned to Chelsea, of course Diego Simione is looking for new players to replace Joao Felix in their attack line. I think this could be true but the problem may be in the price.

In my opinion, hiring Mbape for a gigantic salary plus 300 million bonuses is an unhealthy hire. Signing Ronaldo or Messi (if he really repeats this path) does not carry anything terrible and in fact it is money for the brand.
It will be scary if the clubs from the oil countries start buying up the current top players not to the European clubs they own, but to the clubs of their countries. This is going to be really scary.

I believe that it is not so easy to convince most high level players to play in the Saudi league. The country is very different from the West and the league is not as desirable if the player is thinking about his national team and world cup.

I'm a bit surprised to see Chelsea really wants to spend big money on this player. I know Mykhaylo Mudryk is a young and talented winger, but his market value actually is only around $40m, why Chelsea wants to pay $100m for him? Arsenal was also brave to make an offer of $95m, which is also quite far from his current market value. However, Chelsea may assume to use him as their asset in the future. Chelsea also needs a new winger to strengthen their attacking line. Mudryk can play as a right winger or a left winger, Potter can put him in some options.

It will be good for Chelsea to be patient with Graham Potter. I have some level of belief in Potter and something tells me he can do it. Potter needs time to make a few additions and changes to the squad. It is encouraging seeing how the Chelsea board have been supportive with bringing in new signings to improve the team and help Potter restore balance to the club. This season is a test run, let’s see how they perform next season.

Having a lot of money spent in transfer doesnt mean that a club like barcelona are just fine , they are taking that huge risk and if it doenst work ... it's gonna be a disaster just like what happened in juventus to have splash the money out on cristiano and then the next couple years the club announced that they are in crisis.

Barcelona still struggling to get out of the crisis , they nearly selling de jong even he just arrived few months ago.
