I think a new contract extension will discourage other clubs from recruiting him. Osimhen looks like he will stay at Napoli for one more season, even though his contract is extended until 2026, I think he will move early before his contract ends or is extended again. Osimhen opportunity to move is quite open, but not in January, which is only a few days away. Regarding Osimhen's release clause, I'm sure there are still several clubs that can afford it, clubs like Chelsea, Madrid, PSG wouldn't mind spending that much money just for one player.

I have tried to analyze the Arsenal team and how they will cope with Victor Osimhen as the striker and seriously it will be the near perfect fit for Arsenal’s team and Arteta’s pattern. Arsenal are a possession club and they need a standing striker that is also every good in the air to help win their aerial battle and I will say Osihmen is currently one of the best in that battle. The problem now is Arsenal just of recent splashed out a whopping 100 million on Declan Rice and another 100-150 might be much for them and considering FFP they will be wary. Undoubtedly, Arsenal are one of the strongest English Premier League clubs in England and I've been very consistent with their impressive performance since the start of the season. Almost all the big players that is based in Europe at the moment would definitely want to play for Arsenal especially in their striking role.
However, I don't think a player like Victor Osimhen would want to sign for them anytime soon. There are lots of clubs have been owning interest to get him from napoli but the main problem is still remain the same about the price of him. I meant that if napoli has been putting non sense amounts of money as his price and this is the main problem owned by the club.
Osimhen is likely extending his contract but the duration of new contract is still being questioned by many people. I think that it will be round 2 or 3 years more. There's no confirmation regarding this as napoli has not yet made an announcement about this.

It's clear that if osimhen never accept any approach from the other clubs which mean the chance for osimhen to extend his contract will be much bigger than this time. I hope that napoli will be also putting sense release clause for him caused by this is one of his request.
