Graveyard indeed, and surprisingly everyone was hyped and excited with the coming of ETH , but as he went on with acquiring players that càn help him win games...it was almost clear that he couldn't fit into the shoes he was given !! I think one of the best examples for a failed transfer is Jadon Sancho and he is by far not the only one who was purchased and came to Manchester United evoking big hopes and optimism. Difficulty adapting may not be a strange thing in football, especially if you see players in the previous team performing quite brilliantly but when they join a new team they start to lose their best form. The FA cup as you have rightful said is the only available trophy for Manchester United this season plus also the fight for the champions league spot. With the new deal with Adidas which should commences next year, Having the rules of a 10M fine should they fail to qualify will be a big challenge for Ten Hag to remain in the club without champions league. The German giant Bayern Munich is trying to convince him to stay with the club by contract extension, but I think it won't happen because Alphonso Davies has already taken the decision to leave Bayern Munich because currently Bayern Munich is not as strong as before and they have less chance/potential to win the Champions league in the upcoming days. 
 
Real Madrid are looking for a star player like Killyan Mbappe to get the super chances to dominate the UCL competition, so I think this is the reason why Alphonso Davies moved to Real Madrid, and he didn't want to extend the contract with Bayern Munich.
