Just five months after James Trafford joined City. He's now considering to leave from the club. I really understand he has no hope to compete with Donnarumma for the City's first goalie. Pep also did dirty to him. So i think leaving from the club is his best decision.
I know it's such a shame, but it's what it is when a player can compete in a tightening competition for the main place.

He expected to be City's main goalie, but sad his time is not right with when best goalie in that year is also available for transfer.
His mistake was competing with Donnarumma who is much better in terms of experience and mentality and actually it's still good enough to part ways and find a new club I think.

He's still very young and still has the potential to compete but when you're at a big club like City where performance has to be tested it's obviously difficult.
In addition, he will also not be accustomed to the status as the second goalkeeper because previously he was always trusted as the main goalkeeper at Burnley which of course this will not make him comfortable.

If he really wants to leave I don't think it will be a problem but if he wants to stay but the risk of only being the second goalkeeper is also not bad if in the end he wants to stay at a big club.

Before he was signed, Donnarumma PSG stay wasn't certain clubs offers has been coming already but James Trafford seems like their long term target but sadly he was making errors and wasn't too good as they wanted which forced them to opt for Donnarumma in the end.

His game time might not come anytime soon until City are in a good position they have much risks of point(s) drops.
Donnarumma is seeing things differently since joining Manchester City with amazing goals, the competition outweighs what he experienced at PSG. Manchester City better comes back to form, the more they keep losing it seems like Donnarumma isn't helping or one of those flop goal keepers, a really good keeper like him needs to stay were they are succeeding, although Premier League is competitive, he should expect more difficult matches.

So far I think Donnarumma is quite good. He is able to adapt to the EPL style of play. The pressure in EPL matches is very different compared to Ligue 1. But Donnarumma's bad habits still persist. Since joining Man City in September, in 11 EPL matches he has already received 4 yellow cards and 1 yellow card in the UCL. I am just highlighting this. Donnarumma has a bad habit; 3 of the yellow cards were received due to protesting to the referee. He should be wiser regarding these incidents. Because if this continues, it will be very detrimental to the team.

Honestly, I also wonder why PSG released Donnarumma at that time. This was a very bad decision, because the goalkeeper who knows this is extraordinary, he has done various defenses and saves, but well... he was just thrown away. But on the other hand, this is a very good gift for Man City because since Donnarumma arrived at Man City, their save and defense levels have been stronger.

Oh yeah, there's something interesting from one of the top Premier League clubs. Arsenal has reportedly signed young twins, both 16 years old. They are Edwin Quintero (Right Winger) and Holger Quintero (Attacking Midfielder), Ecuadorian talents.

~~ Snip ~~

The Premier League could be the next port of call for Vini career if he doesn't get a satisfactory result in his negotiations with Real Madrid, but losing him in the team could be very dangerous for Madrid itself, I hope that his move will not happen and both parties find a solution, besides that the tension with Xabi can also be resolved.
Xabi knows he needs him. Vinicius is one of Real Madrid's key players. In previous years, when Mbappé wasn't around, he single-handedly controlled the team's attacking power. Now that Mbappé is here, he plays a much more free-form role. Therefore, I think it would be best for him to stay. Of course, that's his decision,if he wants to leave, no one can stop him. I'm sure there will be plenty of Premier League teams looking to sign him.
Of course, there are many clubs interested in signing Vinicius, but most of them will not be able to afford his release clause from Madrid. Besides that, Vinicius salary is very high, so only very wealthy teams could manage it. Personally, I tend to think that Vinicius will most likely choose to stay, even though his future continues to be a subject of speculation. Madrid management will try to find a middle ground in order to reach a new agreement to extend his contract. Meanwhile, Xabi Alonso certainly understands that it is very difficult to find a versatile player like Vinicius in the transfer market.

To be fair, I do not think it's only about the money, it's about feeling equals. If Mbappe was making 20, and Vini made 19, he would want that extra one million just to make sure he is seen as equally. This is why I think it's clear that we are going to see him want equal pay because he feels he is equally good. If that doesn't work, this Saudi deal would actually be amazing for him.
But the point is exactly that: Vinicius and Mbappé are not equal. The Frenchman is way better than him, is there somebody here who thinks Vinicius is better than Mbappé? It doesn't matter whether we're talking about club or national team, Mbappé always plays better. For me there is no discussion about it. Vinicius is not as good as Mbappé therefore he can't ask the same salary, as simple as that. If and when he'll offer the same performances then we can talk about it.

Xabi knows he needs him.
I wouldn't be that sure: Xabi Alonso believes a lot in Arda Guler and Mastantuono, and next year Nico Paz will go back to Madrid, so he can perfectly drop Vinicius. In reality it looks like he wants to get rid of the Brazilians because also Rodrygo and Endrick are not playing so it looks like there may be some problem between the manager and the Brazilians.

I think Vini Jr is better in some specific ways, but overall Mbappe is much better and has a lot more skills. If real madrid had to choose one of course they would choose Mbappe, that carried in the World Cup and almost won against Argentina.

Frankly, I don't think he has much of a chance for that award, as Mbappé is currently the top contender. Judging by his performances this year, Mbappé appears to be a frontrunner. Perhaps that's why he wants to leave Real Madrid, as he was the team's sole star, and now a better player has joined. Some players can have inflated egos. The interest in Mbappé may have led him to want to leave the team.
But if he wants to choose a big team he will have to divide the attention with other good players, he is not so good like Neymar or Messi where he will be the sole star that is so much better than other players.

I think he rather have more money and this is why he is trying to negotiate and have better bonuses. But in the end he will stay in Real Madrid if they say its the final offer

I'm curious to know about what abilities you think Vinicius is superior to Mbappé. I'm not criticizing, it's a genuine question because I'm thinking about and I really struggle to find a single Vinicius' skill better than Mbappé's. I mean, technically, physically and mentally, Mbappé is always better. He plays more for the team, doesn't feel the pressure, keeps his composure, scores in every possible way, plays for the team, and he is a real leader, especially for his national team.

That's why there are questions in my mind about why Peb bought him. Donnarumma is a rather mischievous goalkeeper. He frequently receives cards from the previous club, and that's not the type of player Pep is. So far, he has collected 4 yellow cards, which means it is something unusual for Manchester City, especially for goalkeepers. Pep has defended him because it will affect his performance if Pep exclude him. He has tried to play well, maybe because he trying to adapt to the atmosphere of Premier League, so it is unusual to receive such intense public pressure.

Snip.

Perhaps the only club in Europe that could accommodate Vinicius is PSG, but I haven't heard any rumors regarding PSG's interest in him. There he will be a complement to Luis Enrique squad, he can be placed on the left wing, while the right wing already has Dembele.
As you said, it's highly unlikely Real Madrid will let him go, but if Vinicius sticks to his principle of wanting a better salary, Real Madrid might consider other options. Finding new players is more difficult than retaining the players we currently have, especially since every newly brought in player may not be able to adapt to the atmosphere at a new club. I think Real Madrid management must be able to find a way out so that Vinicius stays.

Whoever told James Trafford that he was going to be the number one for a struggling Manchester City team lied to him even if it was Pep himself. He should have known it wasn't going to happen, I said it here that period that James was not going to be the number one keeper. He doesn't have the experience that Pep needs and besides the team is still struggling. If it were when City was still formidable then I can understand, at least the midfield and defence will cover him for his lapses as his learning. My suspicion was really confirmed that he won't be number 1 when City was going for Donnarumma.
I don't think so. It's not a lie until Donnarumma came in. I emphasize Pep did dirty to him, but it's happening after the change of CIty's plan. Trafford has always been playing when City was not yet signing Donna, but plan totally shifted after Donna available.
Logically, City would stick to the Donna, which was number 1 goalie at that time instead of keep going with that 23 years goalie.

If pep smart enough, he should at least give him some minutes in unimportant game. Best of luck for him

Donaruma has a long contract with Man City. If I'm not mistaken, it's up to 5 years, which means Donaruma will be with Man City until 2030. Maybe Pep is acting like that, but at the very least, Pep should immediately give advice to Donaruma. Maybe he can have a one-on-one talk. That seems like it would make Donaruma more aware and able to change. Donaruma is technically good, but maybe that's currently the problem, he can't effectively control his emotions. Could Pep sell him? I think in the near term, that won't happen.

Getting cards or not we can’t takes eyes off the huge impact he has bring to the team, I could say Manchester city would not be in the top 6 if they had not bring in Donnarumma to the team. Every player has their negative and as  a coach you just have to accept such flaws and try to manage them the best way you can. If Pep has not complained yet about him them we should know he his comfortable with everything he his doing.

Pep have been in this job for a very long time and I’m very sure he has been in situations like this and I would tell you he his handling it the best way he can. On the player side too, he needs to start doing better, just one more card now and he would miss a match which might be very costly to Manchester city. Let see how they both handle the situation onwards.

By the way, the latest news from former Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos, whose contract with Monterrey FC expires in 2026, and he will become a free agent. He is already 39 years old, but according to reports, he is still not retiring.
Many comments on social media say: "Florentino, before you leave, do it if you can," and the truth is, with Real Madrid's situation, it would be great if they brought him back. This player is exactly what Madrid needs. I don't know what you all think, but I see Madrid's center-backs as weak, fearful, and prone to making mistakes With Sergio Ramos, at least Madrid's defensive line would command respect.

Going back to Sergio Ramos do not seem and sound Real Madrid like, they never went for Cristiano Ronaldo despite his value and importance. I don't expect the same here.
They have players I mean, injured defender's with Rudiger returned right now, if Alaba and the others like Hjuisen ready, they do do a whole lot to help them. News of him joining Ac Milan and Modric former teammate has emerged and a possible one last time qualifications for the FIFA World Cup Competition. The move to Ac Milan more possible in my opinion.

No dear, Sergio Ramos might be experienced infact very experienced, he might be one of the best in history but he's not the solution to Real Madrid's defensive issues, do you want to tell me that there are no good defenders out there that Madrid could steal from other clubs or younger prospects they could sign, what happened to Arsenal's Gabriel or Saliba?

I won't support that Real Madrid should go for a 39 year old even though he'll become a free agent, his days at top European teams is over and where people like Ramos normally go to end their career is at the MLS or Saudi league not in Real Madrid.

Towards the end of his contract at Real Madrid, Sergio Ramos was frequently getting injured. He later went to PSG and spent most of his time on the bench because of injury. Now, he's 39 years old, his legs have become weak, and some fans want Perez to bring him back to Real Madrid to play football? No, it's not going to happen. He can be brought in to fill other footballing positions, but not as a footballer. He has passed his peak.

It's true, and Donnarumma still has a long contract with Man City, so it's unlikely that Pep Guardiola would sell him after just one season. Despite his attitude and frequent yellow cards, Donnarumma is an experienced goalkeeper, so selling him so quickly wouldn't be the best option for Man City, especially since there's currently no replacement with the same ability.

Small issues like this should be discussed directly between the player and the coach so Donnarumma can adjust his style for the better, avoiding detrimental effects on the team as a whole under certain circumstances. I think just a little advice would make him change his mind, as I'm sure he'll understand the different league conditions and likely have different approaches to dealing with them.

Goalies who are eager to display their talents on the field shouldn't go to a big club because they will definitely have their first choice goalie. It's only a top goalie that can be transferred to a new club to become the number one goalkeeper of the club. They don't have hope of performing on the pitch compared to a player who is on the bench. He needs to leave if he wants to be part of the action.

A new update on Vinicius Junior's situation at Real Madrid. It seems like he still has problems that aren't solved there. I assume that is related to a new contract with a big raise in salary...  Tongue
Based on Vinicius Jnr's performance last night against Athletic Bilbao it is obvious that the Brazilian is in good spirits and might end up landing a lucrative deal better than what he already has at Real Madrid, Vini is still a very important player for Real Madrid and am sure that both Xabi Alonso and Florentino Perez recognises this and would do everything possible to retain him for as long as possible .

Vinicius Junior is a good player, and I don't think his performance for Real Madrid against Athletic Bilbao is what will make him land a lucrative deal better than his current deal at Real Madrid because before the La Liga season started, a club in the Saudi Pro League wanted to lure Vinicius Junior out of Real Madrid with a lucrative deal, but the deal didn't work out. The only way Vinicius Junior can extend his contract at Real Madrid is if Real Madrid board can honour what Vinicius Junior wants.
