Free? Guys, do you understand what free-agent players ask since they know the team won't be paying any money for them? Usually the agents ask for 10-20 million euros plus a contract which is way more expensive than the one they would get offered in a traditional transfer. Sure, it would be still less than buying the player but it's far for free. They will have to buy the player from... the player himself.

Normally you pay a player who is available on a free transfer a smaller amount than what his club would have demanded and I hardly know any players who then earn more money (annually). Of course the best players can demand more (such as Mbappe) but otherwise that will normally not be the case.

It should also be noted that Barcelona is a very popular team and many players dream of playing there which is why players sometimes play there for less money than other clubs offer them.

For Barcelona these players have the advantage that they can keep their transfer spendings low.

I'm a Juventus fan, I saw all the contract renewal offers (and offers from other clubs) Vlahovic turned down over the years. He and his agents are extremely greedy, I understand what you're saying about accepting a lower offer just because of the club's level but I highly doubt he would accept a 50% reduction because right now he is making 12 million euros per year. Even lowering his expectations he's probably going to ask for 8-9 millions, minimum.

Dusan will likely become a free agent at the end of this year. I think another team could pay his salary, even if not Juventus. Even in the worst-case statue, I think they could offer more than what Saudi Arabian teams are asking for. He was a reserve player at Juventus for a while and didn't take advantage of the opportunities he was given. He's gradually improving.

I think Joel Ordonez's arrival at Liverpool will have a positive impact on the defense. And maybe he can be rotated to right back when Liverpool needs him in that position. This player's main position is center back. But I think Liverpool sees great potential in this young player. I personally think Liverpool will benefit greatly from his arrival. However the next issue that may arise is the adjustment Joel Ordonez will need to make to adapt to Liverpool. And Arne Slot must be able to fully utilize this player who has defensive capabilities in two positions. Hopefully Liverpool won't waste him.

The challenge is that when you continue sacking a clubs manager when he's built a good relationship with the player and bring in a new one, what do you expect of the team? To suddenly adapt into the style of play of the new team manager when the season is at it peak and there's champions league to still play for? Isn't that crazy? As much us the club ownership has the final say regarding who is to manage the team, doing so at the wrong time has the ability to disorganised not just the team but also the players.

If they announce the new manager and he starts his tenure with changes that affects the performance of the players not so long from the moment he resumes, will that then mean that he's going to be sacked just like that? Sometimes the business part of the game spoils the main part of the team which is the coaching and players welfare.

Chelsea's management aren't really trust the process, this make me remember with Pochettino who have make Chelsea became good from their worst performance in the last decade, however Pochettino struggle in consistency and fight against big teams, then they found Enzo Maresca who can do that.

Now Maresca have struggle when the team under perform, I don't think the new coach will able to change Chelsea in short time.

Nothing surprising here. Enzo Maresca is not a good coach, and I heard a lot of things that led to the sack.
First Maresca is not comfortable in the club, he always have a secret meeting with Manchester City, I do not know what purposes perhaps he wants to join them. Chelsea feels he is not concentrated with his job.
Secondly, has lost 20 points from winning positions. Always scoring first and then losing or getting a draw in the end. Only 1 win in 7 games.
Lastly, I heard he has interference with the medical team. He has the habit of forcing players to start when they are not ready yet returning from injury.

Name me a more successful manager in the EPL since he took over as the Chelsea manager, i bet you cannot name any, Chelsea are not yet where they are but Maresca entirely hasn’t don’t bad due to the players at his disposal, I wasn’t surprised him getting sacked not because he wasn’t good but just like Pochettino he wasn’t the board ass licker and actually voice’s out when he doesn’t think things are right. The success question is strange in the sense that it is doing what you mean right by success. Trophies? Sure he won some. But his points per game actually went down in his second season the opposite scenario of what should have happened when players familiarise themselves with your system.

But I do think the board set him up to fail in a sense. They want this weird thing where you develop teenagers but also qualify for Champions League every single year and never drop points. What really happened though is November to December was a complete collapsing. He was actually Manager of the Month for November! Three weeks later he's sacked. That's not normal. Joao Cancelo is a good player and still has a lot to offer to any team in Europe. I really don't know the issue he is having with Al Hilal, buy I think he is going to be a good signing for Inter Milan if they can match his salary request. Inter Milan is getting a good player that can really help the team, so it's going to be a good signing if the can pull this off.

I love the use of parted ways, I think he hinted a long time ago he was ready to leave the club after multiple contact with Manchester City directors, that was a clear sign and the same time disrespectful.

Two trophies during his first season and I will say he's won what Arsenal and Mikel Arteta has not won in forever. I think his stubbornness landed him this way as much as tue club directors didn’t consult him before signing some wacked players for the club. Goodluck ahead to him in the next phase.

Regardless, the Premier League is very tough; you can't just bring any manager into the league and expect him to do well. I also feel like they are putting too much pressure on him, if they have a deal with him at the end.

One of the defenders who has above average quality, unfortunately! quite often at odds with the club or coach and even with his teammates, I also heard that his relationship with Al Hilal is quite difficult to repair, maybe returning to the European league is the best choice but I'm not sure Inter will want to accept that high salary, for me it's too high, it's much better for Inter to look for other candidates who are much younger than Joao.

The salaries for our European top tier leagues are way too inflated which complicates future transfers like this one, nevertheless it was going to be better if they made them based on performance so that If you don't put in the work then your Bank 🏧 will be affected too, otherwise the Portuguese still has plenty to offer and brings experience along with him.

Chelsea is an inpatient team they don't give their coaches time when they are not performing better but Chelsea is not yet in that condition to sack their coach Enzo Maresca  but since this is the culture of Chelsea i wont talk about it.
Enzo is doing his best Chelsea situation is not critical enough to sack their manager or it could be that they thought that Chelsea may not qualify for the UEFA Champions league under Enzo Maresca.

If Barcelona is really targeting Vlahovic for Lewa's replacement. I think they're crazy. As far as i can see Vlahovic has been terrible in goal productivity. Even though he will leave for free, but it's not worthy it considering how high his wage compared with his goal productivity.

As a Juventus supporter, I'm counting down the days for this guy to leave. He has been nothing but a disgrace for the team. The amount of money they paid for him, the enormous salary he gets, and the amount of easy goals he misses every single time, everything is just ridiculous. And on top of that during the last 2 years he refused, on purpose, every single contract renewal offer he received and he also refused to go somewhere else because his plan was to leave the club as a free agent. I wouldn't be judging this decision untll he has proven to be incapable of doing the job.
We have seen how Bayern Munich hired Vincent kompany and now they are doing extremely well.

Even enzo maresca that was fired was not a top class coach, Chelsea was his biggest job throughout his coaching career, so undereating Rosenior seems like look down on him and not expecting anything good from him because he hasn't gotten the required experience.
So without given the opportunity, he wouldn't have the required experience to coach at the very top level, and besides, experience does not guarantees that a manager will be successful, so I will not be joining you in criticizing this potential decision of Chelsea till he has proven not to be capable.
