I'm starting to think that Trading on cryptopia between airdrops will make more profit than keeping the coins in my wallet, hoping I don't get kicked out of top1000 in the last minute.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Guys, given staying in the top 1000 requires enough BTX in my wallet for a very nice meal out - I'm trying to determine how best to not lose it (say if my hard drive crashes, or I accidentally delete my bitcore folder)
What info/files do I need to set aside so I could regain access to my BTX if my laptop burst into flames?

You can put btx on pape wallets generated by bitaddress.org. I've done that and uninstalled the wallet as it wasn't working.

Thanks so much for that. So if I print off the page that site generates, then send my BTX to the Bitcoin SHARE address (I guess since the underlying tech is the same it works for Bitcore too?) I can at anytime access the wallet by using the SECRET private key that was generated? Will my BTX be eligible for (and receive) future airdops if they are parked in the paper wallet?

how to send BTX from addresses generated by bitaddress.org? can you get weekly payouts if you hold on cryptopia? You would have to import the private key into a hot wallet from paper

when this baby will get a better and with more volume, exchange? like bittrex or poloniex, i think it's time to move on and leave cryptopia which is good but not enough for this coin to take off, bittrex would really help the value to increase to the first peak, 200k satoshi and more

The new airdrop approach doesn't seem to be helping. There is a whole lot of 50 BTX and 10 BTX (perhaps to bump 40 BTX wallets to 50?) in the exchange order book, looks like all one user to me - the requested price shows a pattern.
Perhaps a whale trying to reduce the spread of BTX by taking up more of the top 1000 slots?

the only way to stop whales taking up multiple slots is incentivise them to only use 1 address give them extra 1% or whatever and they will not divide their coins

in the end, the next airdrop will be 2.5% + 2.5btx for top1000 addresses or just 2.5% ? do we split or keep it all in one address ?

I like it. Flat 2.5% and 2.5 coins for top 1000 addys on top seems fair.
