If you made a backup of your wallet + all files from the folder AppData / BitCore + encrypted your wallet, wrote down the password and private key from it, then yes, it's safe.

...
Tried to install Bitcore for OSX but it hangs every time I start it and I have to force quit it.
Anybody else have this problem?

OSX 10.10.5

  Model Identifier:   MacBookPro9,1
  Processor Name:   Intel Core i7
  Processor Speed:   2,7 GHz
  Number of Processors:   1
  Total Number of Cores:   4
L2 Cache (per Core):   256 KB
  L3 Cache:   8 MB
  Memory:   16 GB

Hi,
in Finder press Cmd+Shift+G, paste ~/Library/Application Support/BitCore, hit Enter.
There remove all files and folders except wallet.dat, then try to run wallet again. If this will not help, send me db.log file from that folder, please.

Need help, latest Mac Wallet keeps crashing. Keeps quitting unexpectedly.  Undecided

Edit: I downloaded the previous Mac Wallet version also and the same result. Keeps crashing.

Can you try do the same and if the wallet will crush send me also stack trace as well. This is information from the window that is showing just after the crash.

Can I still claim for free BTX having Bitcoins in my wallet ? I moved all my Bitcoins last week to my desktop wallet and now I have full control over my private keys in preparation to face the upcoming events. I saw at opening page that every Bitcoin holder can receive free BTX by following some procedure. Do I still qualify when my Bitcoins are at new address in case if snapshot was taken earlier ?
As the starting post says, the snapshot was made at block 463619 (minted : 2017-04-26 17:10:01). You can claim BTX for every BTC you had in just that moment. You only need to complete the form on https://bitcore.cc/claim.php

From my experience Cryptopia are very slow at stuff like this. Should be pretty trivial to update it.
Fuck them, did the devs applied for another exchange listing ? Cryptopia sucks (and BTX trading on novaexchange is dead).

@Limx Dev
I just submitted BTX to cryptocompare. I was a bit baffled why it was not there when I tried adding it to my portfolio.
Best, ypsi
@Limx Dev

I am happy to report that you can now find BTX on Cryptocompare.
If you have a portfolio there you will be able to add BTX to it.

https://www.cryptocompare.com/coins/btx/overview

Best, ypsi
Thats great news, but in cryptocompare they say that algo is SHA256! Cheesy Cheesy they need to change it to Timetravel10.
And another thing, we need to put BitCore to Facebook advertisement somehow.
Bitcore.cc background picture is not good(from my point of view)! We need something more unique, alive, something different, something that inspires, promotes unity! I have ideas for that, i know how to use photoshop, corel, ect..
Who gonna make BitCore background image? We need to have some BitCore background wallpaper contest. I mean it, it is serious!

is bitcoin getting segwit bad for BitCore?  what is bloom?
Bloom filters are a technique to solve the membership testing problem.
http://www.tdp.cat/issues/tdp.a015a09.pdf
or more coin specific:
https://bitcoin.org/en/developer-guide#bloom-filters
only miners in ths thread.guess investors will never get interested in this coin like ever.
it is even not in liqui are the devs really trying to get tihs into a decent exchange?
Why do you think here are only miners active? At which point is somebody an investor?

Bitcore Update Version 0.14.1.6 Do not use old versions!

-Change Diff Algo to Bitcore 64_15
(after block 21000 is 64 blocks (2016) and adjustment step 15 % (400%))
-uacomment removed
-witness spam protection enabled at block 25K
-changes in NetworkHash calculation
-fix version 0.14.1.5

The Retarget Algo Bitcore 64_15 is a new smart solution to prevent diff jumping up or down. We split the big block from 3.5 days in 32 small blocks. The maximum adjustment is ~15 %. (32 * 15% = 480 %)

Thank you for the listing @https://www.cryptocompare.com/coins/btx/overview
You are welcome, pm me for my BTX address in case you are feeling generous. 😁

In any case, I support both BSD and BTX, your coins are one of few where I feel that the devs are real devs that actually have a plan or two.

Edit: It seems the block explorer at http://explorer.bitcore.cc/ has stopped on block 18360. The other one at cryptoid is up to date.

Thanks, ypsi

I have written a PM to Jon (Explorer).
