Dang John Oliver just shredded you guys in front of millions of viewers.... What's yalls thoughts on this? It really does shed some light on the over exuberance of investing in blockchain.. Not trolling, I just want some thoughts on this because it was the most negative part of his segment aside from bitconnect....so the avg person watching comedy central now probably lumps EOS in the same category as bitconnect....that isn't good. I will say that I am excited to see what block.one does with EOS and I think that graphene is one of the most interesting consensus mechanism out there....thats what EOS will be built on right?? Lastly I always see people claiming cryptos are way over valued in market cap, but these are global markets ya know? whats 1 billion dollars spread around the world, also CMC has a funny way of calc market cap i think.

Shredded ‘us’ or made a fool of himself? 1. Time will tell. 2. One thing is clear: he did not investigate the merits of each project. So it seems. And DeepOnion mentioned, isn’t that great too?

What was the point with generating an adress and private key when claiming eos from ICO?

I know a lot of people are interested in price - but anyone as excited as I am for the platform to be live and to see those first Apps being on-boarded?

Ya deeponion! I was surprised at the list he came up with when talking about all the other alt coins, wax, insanecoin, deeponion haha Thats good for all those coins I guess, I just think he was really harsh on EOS for some reason, very true he could have been harsh on others too, but your right time will tell

It will gives you the EOS coin, as we the token EOS is not EOS coin, it is just token ERC20 on ethereum's platform. So all of participants in ICO, they must do registering EOS public key on the contract wallet of EOS to claim EOS coin on couples weeks later, after EOS blockchain be launched by community.

Certainly, most are interested not only in price. But it is worthwhile to understand that one depends on the other. With a working platform with apps, the price of the EOS will also grow.

It's never wrong to invest into platform tokens. Even if it's still an ERC20. They will deploy their own blockchain after the ICO and 83% are sold out so far - price is good to. So yeah. Keep your faith and invest into the next Microsoft on the blockchain

EOS can only be used a hedge against ethereum, should ethereum fails in scaliabily or something else goes wrong. Otherwise I do not see it going much far. It will have it’s market share but nowhere near to ethereum or neo. When cardano enters the sphere that will also have an impact on all platforms.

How NEO somehow gets lumped in the same category as Ethereum is beyond me....its literally no better than waves...every crypto newbie in 2017 is bagholding NEO.

I don't think this problem will be effect on EOS token kept in myetherwallet, deu to The EOS Tokens do not have any rights, uses, purpose, attributes, functionalities or features, express or implied, including, without limitation, any uses, purpose, attributes, functionalities or features on the EOS Platform. Please read on this https://eos.io/faq.html so don't worry about ethereum smart contract vulnerable

Definitely interested by the plateform! There're few projects like this one that seem to bring us to "next step" in blockchain technology.

Does anyone know what month the EOS mainnet will be released or is that more or less still in the air? I do like the project however this lack of producing anything is a bit concerning, then again most crypto's are in this same stage, so I guess we will just have to wait and see how everything progresses.

personally I don't know when. I know that block.one will not configure and/or launch any public blockchain. Daniel Larimer is blockone's CTO so he will not configure and/or launch any public blockchain. so we need to know who will configure and/or launch any public blockchain to know what month the EOS mainnet will be released. any way I know that I don't know .
