As I know some exchanges like Binance already confirmed EOS tokens swap, so there's no need to hold them in your wallet and register them, as they'll be automatically swapped to native EOS tokens when they lauch the main network.

Yes you are right but it is not just about the EOS coins, more than it will there are side chain of EOS blockchain and it is mean free money, as personallity i agree with GroBkAz due to when we hold the EOS token on our ethereum's wallet, we have full control on the token include the EOS blockchain will be launched.

I expect a pump that will be bigger then most expect right before mainnet. And yes, I also expect a long drop after it is released. Then there will be probably some weeks of instability with high rises and deep drops, before value will balance itself between profit takers, long term investors and new dapp developers.

After reading this thread and EOS whitepaper and overall reputation I have moved from ether to EOS. The market has penalized me big time this week unfortunately. Probably pumped too fast in the last few weeks.

everybody know that eos became successful in few months after ICO and now eso standing tall with high 24h volume and price.
eos is on rank #5 in all cryptocurrencies. we cant compare eos to eth or eth to eos both have own value..
now eth is old project and many projects based on eth and eos new in crypto and eos will take some time to compete with eth.

 I was wondering if the company launching the mainnet would go for a 1:1 swap with the EOS tokens (900 million or 1B new coins)? Will the starting price be the last price of the EOS token? Will the new coins have a max supply like current tokens or unlimited like ETH?

I agree to some extent, but note that Ethereum had an active main-net while EOS still has to go active (EOS software is already available for test net though, and all seems well on the surface at least

I just got reminded of my coin safety paranoia. The closer we get to mainnet the more I wonder if my system is safe - and thereby are my keys safe. So far I don't keep secret keys on a mobile. I will wait and see if there are a lot if people getting burned or not. Then we have wallets that run in browsers. That does not feel so safe either. That same browser has eaten a lot of stuff.
