No and never. Gold is a physical thing and it's not only have material value but also spiritual value. Beside used to trade gold can be used to make jewelry to make up for everyone. But Bitcoin only used to trade and purchase and it's can be used worldwide like gold cause it's not legalized worldwide. In terms of acquiring bitcoin and gold, I'll go for bitcoin. Not everyone can hold gold because they don't have enough money to have one. In bitcoin, there are so many ways to earn and have bitcoins; you can even buy and invest it if you want.

In my understanding both of them are able to store value for longer period of time. You can't compare them directly because gold is physical and bitcoin is virtual. a 100% yes, aside from bitcoins value its not like everyone can buy or mine a pure gold in their local stores or trade market and it is somewhat prone to thieves specially in third world countries you can't even wear gold accessories casually in the street. But for us, we can earn bitcoin as easy as it is than gold we're only talking about the money but for me bitcoin is better than gold. You can't earn 2k worth of gold in just a week. For some situation, gold can be robbed bitcoin can't. Though your account can be hacked or scammed you just lose your digital coins it can be easily earned again than gold.

There is nothing you can do to convince people that follow tradition, to them something is better just because it has been tried by several people before them and while gold is a good investment there is no doubt in my mind that bitcoin is the future.

Honestly, just comparation the speed of transfer money in Bitcoin still make many people want to use it instead of Gold or Dollar.
That is the best function of Bitcoin while Gold and Dollar can not do that.
As Lauda said, we can not send a huge amount of money with cheap fees when we use Gold and the speed of the Bitcoin transaction also faster than any asset, currency.
