Hi guys, I don't know why it only have to be the 4gb? This thing is limited compared to the 2gb
My idea is no 6 pin power, cheap 12 gpu mobo.
And massive deployment of 2-3/builds or more.
2 Gigabyte RX 560 2gb (Elpida) one is dual fan /powered and one isn't (single fan)
They are speed devils.
The memory controller being the same on 4gb 570/580 its  way faster than the 4gb 560s
Ethereum 15.25 Mh/s and a staggering 540 h/s cryptonight! with basic 875 undervolt 2025 and 2075 memory speeds (funnily the elpida on the single fan value model was faster.. It can even go more!)
Core is 1050 for ETH and 1150 cryptonight.
Don't mine ETH directly... Mine forks (and just exchange to ETH? )
I'd like to help with info also.
So, as someone here said the 4gb micron 16 cu being the beat one.
I found out that the gigabyte 4gb dual fan (WITHOUT 6 pin) is Micron only in BIOS. That means this model is a 100% micron if you buy it.
The 2gb and the 4gb didn't do any sort of throttling with the built in BIOS tdp of 46 watts.
Sapphire 560d 4gb is a garbage!!!!I didn't even try unlocking the CUs again. The memory reaches 2000s barely!
AFAIK there isn't any 2gbs with D variant.
Cryptonight wise 2x 560 2gb are bigger even than a single 580! My 580s are 950~1025 h/s within reasonable power 20% less than eth
I still have to see the Hynix ajr 2gbs how they perform Smiley cause usually they are faster than elpidas!

Have you ever managed to unlock 1024 on the sapp 560d? I had no such a luck Sad
Btw, my sapp 560d cards work at 2025MHz and give ~13.3-13.4Mh/s ETH

The Micron strap RX560 ... 15,2 eth ... 480 xmr :
777000000000000022AA1C0073626C41B0551016BA0D260B0060060004061420EA8940AA0300000 01914292EB22E3B16
or use OneClickPBE.
Seems, Clem is using a paid strap from Mattthev.
@Clem, is your strap is different than the above one?

Yes for the Hynix one i confirm is the timing from Mattthev (can't achieve stable rig without his timing) (so i will not share it)

For Micron  that the one. You can push MEM on micron from 2200 to 2300 (pretty stable) but if you want to reduce PWR better to use

(HiveOS OC configuration) COR: 1125 DPM:3 V:850 MEM: 2200 and gonna give you 480H/s for ~35W.

Add option -h 896 if you use claymore for XMR.

Hi Clems,

I have 6 RX560 4Gb Sapphire cards,

I copy your strap from 1625 to 2000 in my bios and flash 2 of my GPU and run ati patcher. I started claymore with cocre clock 1125 and memory 2100. GPUs start mining about 15 - 15.1 MHs but they worked only for 2-3 minut and crash.

Any advice what else I should change in my settings?

Thank you

Try MEM 2080 and if not working reduce MEM... Seems your card is not supporting high memory.

How can I check is my card supporting high memory?

Funnily, they do. I will force return two of them cause seller had them advertised as 7000mhz memory (even for gaming these are sick!)
I found by a complete fortune, that the Techpowerup bios (only one) is the same device ID by sapphire and is the 16 CU variant..... All of the cards accepted it, but i think the TDP difference being big (this link is probably for the Normal Sapp pulse 16 cu, with higher TDP) my main gpu one was struggling and choppy, but yeah, all of the 4 cards worked.... i just rolled them back to the 14 cu one, cause well, 6000mhz base memory speed sucks much.)
I do 420 h/s and 14 mh/s max with them on the 14CU original bios with timing mods with PBE

or use OneClickPBE.

please upload your Bios ;-)

R0land, i really respect you man, used your Hynix MJR timings for my 580 8gb (complete rip off/downgrade compared to the lower priced aorus 4gb).
I have to say though, both your strap and that experimental xmr one do BSOD without errors within 2075-2100 mhz memory... not sure though, If those cards never give error, can i just use PBE straps and 2300++ mhz instead? whatcha think?
also your micron one, is it different than the PBE one? better you think?
I can share/ give access to any of my cards (2gbs gigabyte powered and non, also have access to 4gb non powered, strictly micron only (gigabyte too) )

Use MSIAB + hWdinfo
Push MEM on MSIAB + Mining software and check Memory Error on Hwdinfo. If you have error reduce MEM. The goal is to have ~1% of error or zero Wink

This Micron timing is pretty good go for it man Wink
Micron can achieve MEM 2300 but not all. Start from 2200 until 2300 and check error.

Hi guys,

First of all, this topic has been very informative. Thank you all very much for sharing your knowledge and information   Smiley

Sadly, I didn’t do my homework before buying 12 x Sapphire Radeon RX 560 Pulse 4GB (11267-18-20G). I thought I got a good deal, only later to find out this model is severely gimped. As stated before in this topic, it only has 896 shaders, less TMU, 1500Mhz and less Bandwidth:

https://i.imgur.com/lIYIFl5.png

I can’t return them anymore so I have to make the best of it…. However, it looks like my card is just a softlocked ‘normal’ Sapphire Radeon RX 560 Pulse OC 4GB (11267-00-20G). I have been able to unlock the shaders to 1024, the TMU to 64 and my memory chips are also ‘normal’ MT51J256M3 (MICRON) a.k.a. they run at 1750Mhz by default.

https://i.imgur.com/dJfr57K.png

I’ve tried different straps (from Wacko, Branko, One Click Timing from PSBEditor 1.6.7, the BIOS straps website with the Nyan cat logo and the ‘top secret’ 15Mhs strap) and was able to push this ‘gimped’ card to 12.1MH/s. Sadly, I can’t do much more because of the limitation in Bandwidth. It’s locked to 96 GB/s and I need the full 128 GB/s in order to push the hashrate even further. Changing/raising the TDP and TDC made no difference; the cards just keeps using the same wattage (which is odd I think).

My question: Is it possible to unlock/BIOSmod the Bandwidth to 128 GB/s as well?
@Branko: Do you see any room for more improvements in my BIOS mod?

For those of you interested in my ROM:
Stock ROM (without any modifications): http:// data .freek. ws/public/11267-18-20G/RX560_STOCK.rom
ROM with shaders unlocked to 1024 (no other modifications): http:// data .freek. ws/public/11267-18-20G/RX560_UNLOCKED.rom
ROM with unlocked shaders, Branko’s strap and increased max. memory frequency (for use with claymore): http:// data .freek .ws/public/11267-18-20G/RX560_12MHs.rom
(REMOVE THE SPACES IN THE URL. I could'nt link directly to my server, it got flagged my bitcointalk)

The last ROM (the one with Branko’s strap) will give you 12.1MH/s at Ethereum mining using Claymore 10.6 and the following settings: -cclock 1275 -mclock 2225 -cvddc 1000 -mvddc 850

Thank you very much for your time

Windows 10 - 64-bit
Biostar TB250-BTC PRO Ver. 6
AMD Adrenalin 18.1.1
Claymore 10.6

I have 3 of the very same card only with hynix memory. I can manage to get 13.7 sable with memory 2000, core 1050 mem voltage 850 and polaris oneclick timings.

Only problem i would like to try is there any impact to unlock it to 1024 shaders.

I cant use your bios, because difference in memory. Any chance you can have a look and try to unlock shaders to my card as well?

Sorry about that. I don't understand what is wrong with the sapp cards. I have some of such cards as well and I haven't managed to unlock them as well. At the same time with the same technique I've unlocked several asus cards. I'm continuing my investigations and let you know in case I find something new. Anyway, thank you for your try.

check Memory Error on Hwdinfo. If you have error reduce MEM. The goal is to have ~1% of error or zero Wink
Do you know proven facts that the errors can make any harm to cards?

Or if you have Linux mining OS : Os will not start at all.

Best solution is to have dual boot Windows / Linux mining OS in case.

So I got it all up and running today! And that is mainly because of all the advice I found here! Just wanted to say thanks!

ASROCK AB350 Pro
8gb ddr4 ram
AMD A6-9500 Bristol Ridge Dual-Core 3.5 GHz
120GB SSD
Win10
500watt enermax PSU

I have 4 cards.
Running the 18.2.2 drivers all on Compute mode

The best ones I have are the gigabyte RX560 OC Gaming cards. With PBE oneClick and mem at 1950/850 I am getting around 13.4 MH/s
The Asus RX560 OC-EVO with PBE gets around 11.9 with 1925/850
The XFX RX560 with PBE gets around 12.3 with mem at 1750/850.

The gigabyte and asus card I can't push past 2000 and there is no difference in MH/s so I dropped it a little. The XFX is a head scratcher as I can push the mem to 2250 but anything after 1750 shows no benefit. The Asus is only 14cu so I think that one is about as good as it is ever going to get. In total I am getting around 51MH/s which isn't bad but if anyone has any advice as to how to bump that XFX card up I am open to ideas.

Bro, it's just my opinion buut, rx560 is really weak for mining. Would be better buy nvidia gtx1060 and farm other coins (zcash for example). But nvidia cards are expensive too, so you can wait their next generation. They will anonce it in 2-3 months.

Nvidia are more PWR consuming so you have to think about PWRvsHash

And no RX 560 are not so weak for mining if you think about price.
Test before telling something.

My 560 are mining around ~15Mh/s and more than 480H/s on cryptonight.

I am total newbie in mining world.
So guys, as I understood rx 560 are not bad cards for mining eth, but I saw that there are several types of rx 560 cards which makes big differences.
So which card with what specification is best to increase mh/s to 14 or even 15 ?
Choose cards with 1024 shaders and try to avoid cards with 896 shaders.
For instance, Sapphire cards:
1024: 11267-00 and 11267-01
896: 11267-18 and 11267-20

However, some of the 896 can be unlocked to 1024.  Wink

How?
