Why exactly does this matter? I don't think the ChipMixer signing address was supposed to be funded. My guess is someone send their coins to that address by mistake. They'd have done that after mixing their coins though. I followed one of the chains and it brought me here: https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/18HecYpFRs4s54oiLKnXLpfzFUb1VFQMvt - maybe it was a small chip, they liked the service and wanted to donate?

escrow address was funded (2017-05-26) before the chipmixer address (2017-08-16). makes no sense to me in this order. EDIT: it's more an indicator that cipmixer created this escrow address and not the campiagn manager. or they are both the same. It doesn't indicate anything of the sort. Chipmixer may have created their "1Chip" address 2 years ago... or the day it got funded, there is no way to tell from simply looking at transactions on the blockchain. EDIT2: if this chipmixer address has an operational need (which it has) then you will create and fund it with the start of the operation or before. after your business is working and you have too less customers your are thinking about to improve it. then comes the escrow address into the game. in this order.
You would not necessarily fund it, if the "operational need" is that it is simply used to create signed messages. You don't need funds in an address to sign messages. It is fairly obvious looking at the transaction history for this address, that it isn't an "operational" account at all. It has had 2 incoming transactions, which occurred 3 months after the Alpha tests and the service was opened. More likely, someone liked their service and dropped a donation instead of using the internal "donate chip" option. Without knowing the actual details... I'd say that Chipmixer saw that DarkStar_ had created the "1Chip" address to escrow the sig campaign funds, and liked the idea of a vanity address so went and made one for themselves.

EDIT3: Alpha test thread --> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1923170.0it was a single man show from the begining. even the reaction time if issues occure proves this. IMO, chipmixer and campaign manager does not involves more then 2 people. maybe even just one. and if not just one both are strong connected in the same local community. I am really trying to understand what your end goal is here because I don't believe someone would embark on an activity without and end in mind and I feel its better you come out with that for everyone to see so that any concerns you have can be adequately responded to and attended to as necessary. The link you are trying to make are purely circumstantial that would not even take one to have any special skills to find out if one dedicate your time to it. @DarkStar has said where he is from and I wonder if the @chipmixer would do you the honor of saying where he is resident and answer such as that could mean he is just out of business.

Obvious sig spammer is obvious. I have the user on ignore, but it's hard to keep ignoring if y'all are gonna keep quoting. Y'all should just stop addressing him, and if he continues to spam here, I'd recommend reporting him to his campaign manager.

I doubt his campaign manager would do much to him, probably just telling him to tone it down his signature and this thread is exactly in the same business field, both are bitcoin mixers so that makes us as his competitor that's why he keeps bugging this thread

Chipmixer.com & Tor service (chipmixerwzxtzbw.onion) Server is Down for more than 20-hours. My BTC is struck due to this... This is happening frequently... The Tor service is working fine here. I remember the old DDoS times (a simple attack can take the .com down for many hours). Maybe the attacker is back?

Can you get round the issue by using tor - downloadable from torproject.org (if you can't wait for the site to come back on the light web).
Dot come still gives a 504 error, dot onion runs as normal. Seems your problem is fixed with the dot onion site for now @Loyce

Clearnet site works for me, very fast. Tor link loads about 2-3 seconds slower, but that's always the case for me no matter what my Internet speed. I'm sure sending a support request would have gotten things fixed quickly - any outstanding issues? Also, OP: good suggestion from the campaign thread to update onion site into new format, quoted below. Don't know about faster though, they work as slowly on my end. Chipmixer devs should look into porting the website into the new tor format. It's supposedly more secure, more private, faster. The address format is longer so the current one is definitely the classic one. It has been out for a couple of months with no problems that I know of.

Unless they just put two relays between you and the site instead of 4 (which wouldn't be a bad idea)...

The clearnet is actually accessible. I just mixed a small amount a while ago and upon checking their website just now, it took a while to load maybe about 10-15 seconds but after that I was able to access the website normally.

No, there could be companies that are against mixers or governments even. Maybe someone had a bad time with a scammy one and wanted to get their own back by ddosing others. But it would mostly be other mixers as it's quite an expensive thing to do.
