I can't tell you how to divide funds, but instead of trying to take special care of the sizes, I'd say just don't make it predictable. This like : How i can pass the Math exam ? Do math : ) i think ure talking about donateing etc. , but i just asked how much funds has to be left on chipmixer that the amount are not predictable best regards

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

I can't tell you how to divide funds, but instead of trying to take special care of the sizes, i think ure talking about donateing etc. , but i just asked how much funds has to be left on chipmixer that the amount are not predictable I thought you were both talking about the split function on chipmixer... Donation works as well though but say you deposit 1.024 BTC and you split it down to 8x0.128 chiips and went to withdraw them for 8 months (as an example) withdrawing one chip a month after redeeming it's voucher code then that'll do better for increasing your privacy that splitting into 2 0.512 chips and withdrawing immediately. However, don't go over the top with it and 0.128 might be doing that (and don't withdraw them all to the same address either). (changing the sizes of the chips you redeem will be better for privacy too rather than redeeming a load of chips of one size)

Constant DDoS attacks. ETA is when they stop attacking or when Tor fixes the vulnerability that let’s people DDoS a website (for the Tor mirror).

Constant DDoS attacks. ETA is when they stop attacking or when Tor fixes the vulnerability that let’s people DDoS a website (for the Tor mirror). I have a friend requested me to look for a good Bitcoin mixing/tumbling platform he can use and I am aware that ChipMixer is active in this forum with its ongoing signature campaign so I thought that maybe I can recommend this to him. When I entered the site it is offline and I thought what can be wrong? So it is having its share of DDoS attacks right now and in this case we just have to wait for some hours. Reading all the comments here, it seems that ChipMixer continues to be the most reliable among its competitors and that it is very responsive to the needs of its customers.

Obviously someone has quite a lot of resources for such long DDoS, because it takes a really long time. We know that this forum was under such an attack, but it stops after some time. Can we even assume the reason for the attack? Is it someone who is in some way lost coins during mixing, competition trying to ruin reputation of CM, or maybe some three letters agency have some agenda of their own?

Probably the competition trying to ruin their reputation and make loyal customers go to other mixers (including his). I have seen a user saying that he prefers ChipMixer but uses X mixer when he is down. If we are down, people will need to try different mixers (they usually can't wait that long for CM to come back).

We know that this forum was under such an attack, but it stops after some time. This forum moved to Cloudflare, which is a man-in-the-middle-attack that according to theymos is very probably an NSA honeypot. A mixer can't do that. Can we even assume the reason for the attack? It could also be extortion, which has happened to online casinos too.

Probably the same haters, Chipmixer is a good target for crooks since it's perhaps the largest. Mixers are often DDOS'ed and receive threats to extort money, I can bet $50 it's the case too with CM. A few months ago it was another mixer, the DDOS was big enough to decide them to use CF.

lol, Cloudflare use its own SSL certificate. as theymos stated probability is high they can read all traffic unencrypted in plain text by MITM attack. certificate of host bitcointalk.org:

@Gyrsur The majority didn't need Theymos to know that. A few months ago it was another mixer, the DDOS was big enough to decide them to use CF. Forcing a mixer to use Cloudflare would be in the best interest of any three letter agency. Or rather a crook really stubborn to extort. As you know, it's not the first time Chipmixer is targeted. Do you remember last year it happened twice at least? An agency could be a possibility but I don't think so, because if it was the case the site wouldn't even come back online perhaps, or attacks would be more frequent. I mean, they certainly have enough resources to launch a massive attack and make your site never online again. And if it's done in the hope to get the site using CF it's stupid to me, because CF isn't the center of the 'DDOS-protection world'. I have seen some mixers ddos'ed but they didn't give up and they're still here, without CF.

It seems like this attack has been going on for months now. If it is a stubborn crook they sure are using a ton of resources, it seems like at some point they're going to reach the point of diminishing returns. With those kinds of resources one would think there are legitimate ways they could put their resources to use and earn a fair income. So, which is it? Is ChipMixer an NSA honeypot, or is the NSA behind the DDOS attack, trying to force ChipMixer to use their CloudFlare honeypot?

I don't know what attacks ChipMixer is facing, but often attacking isn't as costly as defending, especially when you're dealing with DNS or NTP amplification attacks. Given the money they should be making they can probably afford also the more expensive alternatives to CloudFlare, but that's still introducing another actor they might not like being forced to do business with... maybe they're building their own anti-DDoS solution? That'd be cool Also, CloudFlare doesn't need to be a willing participant in NSA spying, they're an American company so an NSL is probably all it takes to force them into compliance.

Hi all, (first time poster here)
Is the site currently functioning as it should? I sent some BTC earlier today and it has yet to appear on chipmixer, although I can see on the blockexplorer that it did indeed go to the "send to" chipmixer address.
I've sent an email to support... :/
Side note: When I made the transaction, I got 4 confirmations in about 10 minutes, there were a bunch of really fast and small blocks on the chain, don't know if anyone else noticed that. (Random chance?)

No, that's normal, depending on the amount, you should receive your chips almost always after the first confirmation. (Or vouchers) When you restore/check your session-> If it looks like this, while you're 100% certain you've sent a transaction which is now confirmed to the chipmixer deposit adress, you should indeed contact their support. There has been a couple cases recently of Chipmixer not recognizing certain transactions(?), so that might be it. (Or, you have been phished/ clipboard attacked? (Let's hope not!)) Side note: When I made the transaction, I got 4 confirmations in about 10 minutes, there were a bunch of really fast and small blocks on the chain, don't know if anyone else noticed that. (Random chance?)
That happens from time to time, it shouldn't matter.

I made the transaction several hours ago so it has many confirmations already, and indeed I'm still getting the screen on chipmixer that says it's waiting for the transaction. (The one you screenshoted)
I've since restored the session several times and doubled checked that the address I sent it to is correct, both on my electrum wallet and the blockchain explorer itself.
I guess now I'm just stuck waiting for support to answer?

yes, it requires manual intervention from chipmixer personnel it has happened before to a few users probably due to the heavy ddos attacks and I noticed chipmixer posted a comment 2 hours after you, I hope he has looked over your problem and added chips to your session
