this campaign here feels fishy from the very beginning with a large lack of transparency because no one is able to determine why someone was choosen or not. there is no transparent waiting list and much more.
Find me a
single campaign where the campaign clearly explains why they chose an individual over another one. Yes, there is no transparent waiting list, because what
does not exist cannot be transparent. I've gotten upwards of 40 individuals applying for a single slots, and it's way too time consuming with no noticeable benefit to say "I chose Person A over person B because X. However, Person C was better than Person A because of Y, and and thus they were accepted."
Want to be accepted? Write good posts that actually get read.
campaign manager has the wrong strategie to manage this campaign.
Let me know how many campaigns you've worked with or what gives you the credentials to tell others how to run campaigns.
first thing is reduce the amount to pay per post because the high amount let the participates act like slaves of the campaign manager.
Most Participants != more exposure. Posts that get read are infinity times more valuable than those which are not. Higher pay allows me to attract better posters and those who are more well known. Individuals such as HCP are very active in Technical Support sections, and their posts almost certainly get read a lot. I could cut the pay into a fifth, and get 5 people. However, good posters might flock to other campaigns, so I'd be left with those who only post in megathreads, or those who write very short non-contributing posts. A post in a megathread might never get read, or a single digit amount from other megathread posters that need a quote to respond to.
second allow more people to participate in this campaign. to get a larger awareness across the forum also in non English sections.
There's a budget for the campaign. You can't just say "add more people!!11one!11"
Also, aside from Chinese (which I'm really bad at) and English, I can't speak any other languages. You ask for more transparency on how individuals are chosen, but want me to evaluate and consider accepting those who's posts I can't understand? How do I compare them with posters whom I do understand? Should I Google Translate (which makes posts seem very weird grammar wise and loses some words in translation?) their posts? Should I base it off of character length, and then discriminate against Chinese/Korean/Japanese posters as a result of that?
third thing ask yourselve if this forum is still the right place to waste such a high amount every week because this forum is mostly a place for trolls now and not for Bitcoin believers anymore.
Like you?
i cannot agree with you. for example the former bitmixer.io campaign was really the best campaign so far. it was automated with less effort than this campaign. (don't want to know the margin of the campaign manager here.)
Well, yeah! A bot that counts your posts, only removing posts that were too short character wise or in the wrong section, and it had decent pay. It was a paradise for spammers; they could literally post anything, and as long as it was long enough, it would be paid for.
I'm open to suggestions on how I could manage this campaign for the better. However, those suggestions shouldn't be vague with no clear way of doing it, reasonable to implement, and have a benefit.
