A few ISIS supporters probably use bitcoin but I doubt ISIS does, I mean its not possible to use it offline and ISIS isn't exactly known for their strongholds in the middle of the developped world.

They are not using it on a larger scale, just because it is inconvenient: use of USD/EUR cash, dirty bankers nominee figures and diplomatic allies are way easier and proven to be an effective solution for years.

Can you guess, how many ISIS supporters (direct and indirect) are actually living and doing business in US and UK? They are legitimate people for any other aspect, yet they have their reasons to be against current political elites of Persian Gulf and Middle East regions, and therefore financially support their opposition. And guess what? Most money goes to fund fighting, and we are not talking TV debates, we are mostly talking armed terror against government officials and civilians.

When I was a newcomer to the Bitcoin sector, I remember visiting a Jihadi website accidentally in TOR (in 2012). It had elaborate plans on how to establish an Islamic Caliphate covering the entire globe and it even had a Bitcoin donation address. But I still don't know whether it was set up by the original Jihadis, or it was an attempt by the conmen to fool the Islamic extremists.

In fact, the percentage of bitcoin in the funding of Islamic terrorists is very small. Generally terrorist organizations are funded in cash. In many mosques collect donations for them. They earn on the trade in contraband oil. Bitcoin for them is nothing.

You are right they are mostly doing this with cash may be few peoples using this but its not by all its just by few because in few countries they are doing kidnapping for ransom and in few taking Zakat and fitrana all in cash its very easy for them to exchange because they have some strong networks for cash system

I think they know about bitcoin but i really don't know if they are using bitcoin to buy weapons online we are not seeing a large crash when they are buying except if we hear that there is a trading site down or hack we will see a large price dump..
Since ISIS are holding a lots of money base in the news lots of weapon and i think they don't need bitcoin to transact their money to buy weapon....

In the event that they use bitcoins eventually, they are going to have to convert it into fiat and that does going to be a whole lot of problem, unless the persons they do business with accepts bitcoins as a means of payment.

There are many anonymous exchangers in which you can easily exchange the Cryptocurrency for Fiat. In this case, no one will ask you for documents that certify the person.

Unless you are dealing with physical cash, it is quite easy to track the fiat currency. Bitcoins can't be tracked with ease, but once you convert it to fiat, it can easily be traced. As far as I know, the exchanges will credit fiat in your bank accounts only. They will not give you physical cash.

It's been floating in my mind if terrorists are using bitcoin and so ISIS is. But I doubt it that they are using it, I think someone is supporting them and that "one" possibly is a rich organization or person that is sending them USD. Maybe yes, and maybe no. Who knows it's better for them not to use any means of currency to stop their violence.

ISIS is a radical offshoot of Al-Queda. Al-Queda was formed in order to help Afghanistan fight Russia in the............'80's I believe. Or early ''90s. And who formed, trained and supplied them? The CIA. It's a matter of public record.

Terrorists don't need Bitcoin as long as the CIA is still around.

We all know that Bitcoin is also popular to criminals because they can use it without exposing their identity. It will be more convenient to them to use Bitcoin so that they can hide their identity. Do you think that terrorist groups like ISIS use it for their transactions?

Yes they would use cryptocurrencies as anyone can use them and possibly also a variety of altcoins since they are easier to transact and move around, that said the conversion may be more of a challenge for ISIS than anything else but they do acquire a stream of income from a variety of sources so I would agree that it is part of the currencies they use for transactions.

These are smart, crafty people we're talking about here. ISIS is not the type of barbaric villains that doesn't utilize technology. With how convenient their transactions can be through cryptos, it's almost certain that they're already using it for their dealings.

I am not sure whether the ISIS is an offshoot of the Al Qaeda. But I have no doubt that similar to the Al Qaeda, the ISIS was also created and trained by the CIA. A few days back, Tulsi Gabbard, the US representative from Hawaii confirmed this.

Do you know Obama is no longer president?

That website is run by a psyops unit at Ft Bragg, NC.

The purpose of that article was to discredit people, by using sloppy journalistic techniques. They appear to support Tulsi but the net effect, and purpose, of the article is to discredit her. The United States wastes a vast amount of money getting retards to do pointless things in defense of the indefensible.

I would not eliminate it. I suppose that they have specialists in the most different directions. Including in the use of Bitcoin.

Alright. If ISIS use Bitcoin, why would they do that? For what purpose? Virtual currency becomes more accessible, thus I suggest as bitcoins becomes more decentralized it's easy for them to store and transfer money what makes it almost impossible to control transactions and its origins.

It's possible that some of them are familiar with bitcoin, and they also know the degree of risk of using bitcoin in acts of terrorism can make their activities traceable, so I think they prefer to use USD rather than bitcoin.

It could be possible...
These kind of scenario is not far from happening...
There are terrorist around the world who idolizes ISIS.
And through this isis could fund their terroristic activities. They could send financial supprot without being detected through cryptocurrencies...
