+1 - running a group buy is headache prone as you'll need to satisfy everyone's whims.  Arklan has handled this remarkably well! "It ain't over 'till it's over", but I think that the purchasers have also played a pretty big part in the success to this point as well. We put our money up amazingly quickly for one. For two, I feel that it's been a fairly understanding and reasonable group given that we are in Bitcoin-land and the participants have been harvested from the bitcointalk.org forum. For three, the thing was put together very quickly and with a lot of important questions unanswered (and un-asked for that matter.) Everyone, with the possible exception of me and a few others, have handled things with a fair amount of grace as the picture came into focus. I'm surprised you and ~arklan have been so flexible in letting people shuffle and re-sell their positions. If you can keep things straight, I'll be thoroughly impressed. If I were designing such a thing, I believe I would try to make it either more fully automated (with a protocol for signing over stakes which involved specific formats and signatures) or a flat fee for any changes. Probably both. |

610!? also - guys with 10 or more: it's been brought to my attention that one such order got priority shipping, not express. i'm thinking that, despite my instructions, the office depot worker screwed up. if you guys could check to see if this is the case for you and let me know, i'd appreciate it. i'll figure out some sort of compensation if it's the case. probably a btc refund. |
