Arklan, hope the ankle heals.Maybe start another group buy after this one?

i'm considering it.

I will say that keeping details of progress open by use of the shared spreadsheet is a huge pressure relief valve for those who might have questions about how things are progressing.

One of your biggest successes here, IMHO, has been in keeping this thing up-to-date.  If it has also helped you stay organized and accurate it's a double win.

Here here!  I feel like arklan has yet to sleep he is so quick to give updates/answer questions...  You should raise your fee for the next group buy as you deserve it!

I would pay a significant premium for good communications and a track record of proven results.  ~arklan seems to be on the path to achieving both of these.

Alas, I'm not interested in more than one if these particular devices though.  At least not until we see what the price-point comes down to as ASIC chips become commodity.  And until it is more clear that sha256 is indeed going to be more critical that other hashing algorithms.

Just received my shipping notice that the miners were shipped to me.
Thanks ARKLAN!!!!!!!
You rock!!!!!
Hope you get to feeling better.

Very exciting to hear ! BTW, as a multiple adoptive cat owner, I appreciate your Animal Rescue Foundation of Texas image !

Thank you!  (adopt - don't shop right!)  - My wife and I started the org to help as many animals as we can - (arftx.com)..  We have over 100 animals we are caring for between about 25 foster homes and our adoption center at the Double Oak Veterinary Medical Center (Dallas, TX area).  THe bulk of the coins I mine are put into the rescue work and medical fund as we take a lot of special needs cases because of the vet clinic.

We actually just had 3 ztex boards donated to our group to mine for btc for rescue expenses..  Fellow by the name of anthony was helping a friend liquidate a huge rig of ztex boards and I ordered some - and he saw what we do and sent 3 extra for the animals.

Had previously gotten some CM boards where another member of BCT let me pay them out because he also was an adopter and animal lover.

Got me thinking - i ought to see if josh would donate a Mini-Rig as a way of honoring his bet on their power per GH.  It would certainly be a nice gesture..  Anyway.. Do you think i would have any success putting up a thread (in the appropriate area of course) asking for fpga donations..  If folks are in the US, i can give a tax receipt.  It was just something i considered - it would be a REAL fundraising effort!

Anyway thanks for your words and thanks for supporting adoption!

Not sure about asking for FPGA donations, but I was looking for a Bitcoin address in your .sig or some other way to donate to you. Might be useful to create a thread outlining your cause, posting some pictures, contact information, and requesting donations that way.

I was noticing a "Donate with Bitcoin" was distinctly lacking at http://www.arftx.com/info.go Wink

Modular Python Bitcoin Miner has an icarus worker and a browser based front-end. This is what I plan to use.

do "shipping notices" mean emailed tracking numbers?
I can see that a bunch of orders are marked as "packed" in the spreadsheet, but none are marked as mailed yet.

fristly: the second package did NOT arrive today. major sadface, since i don't think they'll try on saturday. please correct me if i'm wrong.

secondly: due to car problems (like not owning one and my brother unexpectedly needing his, which i normally use...) i haven't gotten to the post office yet.

thirdly: the first 200 are ready to mail (though i still need ot print some labels - ran out of ink AND paper.) and i'll have them to the post office first thing tomorrow morning.

dreadfully sorry for delays, guys.

also, my foot's doing much better. Cheesy

this is precisely correct. though i'm actually a little behind on the labels... they'll be done before i can take it to the post office in the morning though.

let me express my deepest apologies at how long this is taking. especially with the holiday weekend.

i don't post much, but this space for rent.

oh, and here's a shot of the boys working away. the LED blinking on a share found (green, btw) is surprisingly unintrusive.

and a shot of BFGminer. (i've yet to get cgminer working with them. waiting on kano's new code.)

Looks normal to me.  Almost all FPGA/ASIC designs have corner cases where they'll produce incorrect results; it doesn't affect actual hashing speed.
