Surely Bitcoin's 1st place will be replaced because of a lot of disavantages so that people will decice not to use Bitcoin for teir daily life

It won't even be number one in 30 days. Ethereum is most certainly going to exceed BTC marketcap soon. BTC is in very big trouble - even if there is no fork. 'Management by consensus' = 'forever impasse' and very ugly two year civil war just to change one little thing. |

I thought for sure it would take until the end of 2018 but it looks like this summer ethereum might pass it up. With the turmoil around BTC potential splitting, it might be very soon. IMO this is healthy, we will always value bitcoin for being the one that started it all, but it's time for a more dynamic and adaptable currency to take the lead.
I think you are not fully able to tell the problem and limits with the Bitcoin . No doubt that Bitcoin has more fee for the transaction , and also mining of the Bitcoin is going down day to day daily , mine of one Bitcoin after mine of single Bitcoin is tough . But still every people who enters in the cryptocurrency are only for the value , trust and popularity of the Bitcoin . And also they don't want easily enter in the other altcoins like eth , dash , dgh , ripple , minero etc because they have trust with Bitcoin and I also have only most of the trust with Bitcoin . Here for me the eth is a altcoin which may be a good coin in the future to make trade but currently the Bitcoin is king and we can't do anything without Bitcoin , and in my opinion in next 10-20 years , Bitcoin will remain king . If you are thinking about the limit of the numbers of the Bitcoin that 21M , then I will say that they will get spread in between the people in small small amount with big price value in the market thats all . Yes true! bitcoin is the most trusted bitcoin in time and I think no other alt-coin can beat bitcoin. The gap of other alt-coin is far from bitcoin even in 2018 for sure bitcoin is still the top. Yeah right now bitcoin is the most trusted and secure currency than other altcoin currency and this time bitcoin has many investors and timely its investors are increased day to day and bitcoin will more powerful and i never think that other altcoin will replace bitcoin and in future I hope bitcoin will number one currency of the world . |

*Yawn* The amount of Alt-Coins, Pump-N-Dumps, Ponzi Schemes, dynamic and adaptable currencies I've seen come and go is tiring. The users of the coin always think it's the second coming of Jesus and they file onto the forums like Soros ants to sing the praises of their leader. Give it up, any problems that bitcoin has dealt with or is dealing with are problems your coin will have to deal with as well or give up something in exchange, all while being less invested in, programmed weaker and are reactionary at BEST. |

Ethereum has a brighter future
To me I think bitcoin has a bright future because its investors and users are already very large of number and in coming years if many countries accept bitcoin its will be going to very stable and very high and its adoption will very increased I am sure that bitcoin will always be the top of all in currency. |

There are some disadvantages with bitcoin like the fees,confirmation times, etc but not a lot and this is only temporary. I would still use bitcoin for daily transactions even if it becomes number two since my local exchange only accepts bitcoin. If the price of bitcoin keeps going down until the end of the weekend then there's a chance that OP could be correct. there was never a coin that matched bitcoin 1:1 and i think never will be
There was this one coin that matched bitcoin 1:1 I believe it was called zcash after people found out about it the price went down pretty fast. |

This is not that simple. It's not a simply a matter of better tech. There are coins which are much more advanced than bitocin is now. With better parameters, features and with clear and solid milestones set. Do you think that creating new altcoin is at this point enough to dethrone bitcoin? Bitcoin is linked to massive economy system, new coins will never be able duplicate this. |

Ethereum is taking gradually the bitcoin place even though we are not noticing it.
We aren't noticing this because it isn't happening.  Eth price is getting increased and has been doubled within a week, the transaction fees are very cheap comparing to bitcoin, the confirmation time is much faster etc etc.
Just because its price has increased, the overall transaction fees are lower and faster, you think Ethereum is taking over? Look at the general network usage that Ethereum experiences right now, it has gone up, but that's only due to the hype/bubble that it is going through. It's just people sending coins back and forth, from and to their exchange. It's all hype related, and has not much to do with actual usage. I remember when the Ethereum was very very cheap after the ICO and when I saw it I didn't believed that one day that coin will be such popular maybe it will become much popular than now but it was unbelievable at that time. Bitcoin is unbeatable for this decade at least but I think that the core dev will do something that will make bitcoin better and continue leading the cryptocurrencies. |

It can be number one, if it is years released before bitcoin, bitcoin is the original digital currency, it may have a dump but it will always be going up. The same as Ethereum, it also experienced a big dump after a splitting and that is the reason why it is becoming popular. Bitcoin will be doing the same thing, survive a network split, and become the most valuable asset online. |

Disadvantages? I assume it's the usual fee and confirmation thingy? You have to understand that every altcoin that eventually gets to cope with the high level of Bitcoin's current usage, will suffer from the same difficulties. People don't seem to look at things from that perspective -- they just see that altcoins are confirming transactions faster, and generally with lower fees, but they forget to look at the fact that barely any one is using these networks. Just look at what the little bit of usage is doing with Ethereum's fees, they have increased significantly, and people still consider them cheap? What a bunch of wackos.... |

I believe this too. I speculate that August 1 is going to see a huge price fall. Bitcoin market cap is definitely going to decrease. Ethereum is rising exponentially. I also believe that August 1 will result in a mass migration of BTC users to Ethereum, like me. I can't say for sure. But it is becoming more likely every day.

Bitcoin is and will still be number one for a long time, even the current coins that look promising like ETH and Monero are very unlikely to take it's place right now, considering their prices as well as actual use is very much less than BTC regardless of their rise of price due to speculation.
Monero might not bet the one that replaces the ranking of Bitcoin from the number one spot to the number two spot. I would prefer to use Maidsafe or MAID instead of Monero just because the people that help develop that coin know that they have to test a bunch before releasing a working product. |

That might be true. But I do not believe Ethereum will be able to hold their gains for long. Sooner or later the price has to go down simply because that is what markets do.
So always remind yourself not to get lost in the mania and try to stay objective. In a market like this, it is easy to think that the good days will never end.
Right for now ethereum's price go to the moon but it's not allways does like that. After growing up inthe market it will get some correction. |
