Completely agreed with the author of the topic. The bitcoin has ceased to amaze, its transactions are very slow and require a lot of elethric energy. Already, there are many currencies that can compete with it.

Well, we are already in 2018 and bitcoin is still number one and might continue to hold that position until you and i are no more. Ethereum is next after bitcoin, but i dont think it is seriously competing with bitcoin, i just think it is also superor to the other altcoins.

These sort of threads have appeared here ever since 2011. But even after all these years, no altcoin is capable of giving a tough competition to Bitcoin. I am not saying that it may not happen in the future. But at least for the next 2-3 years, we don't have to think about it.

Even 10 years from now, I don't think any coin is capable of outranking bitcoin still. One may try like ETH if there are some of the ERC tokens that will be adopted to the masses and my guess is the payment through mobile project, if it happens ETH will have a huge demand for the users and such will bring ETH on top. Who could say still maybe XRP will really dominate or most probably NEO.

Bitcoin has always been number one and the main reason is it is the foundation of all cryptocurrencies without it maybe other coins might not also exist. The price of bitcoin is always on top of all the coins and it has reached a large amount of value last year which only shows that bitcoin is capable of doing more we just need to be patient and continue supporting it.

I think its just fine considering that as the amount if bitcoins mined gets lesser brings forth the flourishing of other cryptocurrencies in the market. I believe that if we want to make sure that cryptocurrencies will become effective currencies in the future then there shoukdn't ve any monopoly going on. So you believe that ethereum is sitting at around $4,000 per unit? You believe that ethereum has the same Market volume as Bitcoin. This is the silliest thing I've ever heard. And silly is pretty much the word for it.. There is no way any time soon as some other coin is going to come along and offset all of that. There is no way that they're going to match the market volume and there is no way that they're going to match the price.

Even if not every people still knows about the Bitcoin and Ethereum, I think Bitcoin will still rise continuously. There are many people starting to learn about the Bitcoin and they might start putting investment into. In fact from experience, I didn't even know that Alt-coins or ETH existed when I learned about the basics of BTC. I think due to popularity and its potential to be the main cryptocurrency, the Bitcoin will still remain number one as it is.

I'm still waiting when this so called "flippening" will happened. Too much expectation on Ethereum really. Yeah, we can't predict the future but I'm not seeing this happening anytime soon. I know that ETH has been pumped really hard but I don't know the current price, but checking upon the price of bitcoin now, it is really going strong after a price swing a few weeks earlier. Those ICO's and Crowdsale are really putting cash on Ethereum but I don't know if that is sustainable in the long run that will make them the "king". But so far I haven't seen it happening.

I think bitcoin will be on top as far as currency in the cryptoworld goes for a long time, im not saying there wont be coins that pass bitcoin up as far as worth but are they currency coins or somthing else, i think alot of crypto investers miss this point quite often, Bitcoin is #1 crypto currency for a very long time.

Newer technology on future altcoins that will be release few years from now i think will be the cause of bitcoin falling from being number 1,bitcoins still uses an somewhat old technology on their company so more advance technology may be a threat

There is no problem with bitcoin on the way even when dropping bitcoin can be raised again so far that ethereum may be changing sites because many tokens are affected

I don't think that there will be ever any crypto which could take the first place from bitcoin ... bitcoin will be the king of crypto for ever , it exist without them but they will never exist if it's not because of bitcoin .

I do not know if etherium will overtake Bitcoin or not. But by 2018 I think btc is still the strongest coin. Btc is still a major coin in the altcoin system and is well known, just as btc in the future retains its inherent characteristics and is finer in terms of fees. I believe it still leads in the top strongest coins.
