What is called real money is what the people agreed to be real money and what we are regarding as real money today is just a piece of paper that we by default attached value to which then makes it money. If we all agree that we want to discontinue the use of 'real money' to and adopt another form of currency, then that becomes the real money. On whether bitcoin can make real money disappear, so far there is another thing called 'real money' it then means that bitcoin is competing with space with that and overthrowing that will not be possible.

However, the process of achieving the transition is what to be put in place and every other thing becomes easy.

Crypto currency and fiat are two different and both fascinating part of peoples life. Its impossible that crypto will make fiat disappear.
People may want or can consider Bitcoin as real money but not all will do so, and largely the respective government would never ever do that.
Moreover it isn't necessary, both have different set of principles and they are fine where they are and the way they are considered.

What are the chances of living in a world with no actual money ?  Shocked

depending on your ability and involvement on cryptocurrency.
I think all humans who live in this world, want a decent life may be rich.
but everything must be a process to mend it all.
I'm sure cryptocurrency can give a lot of advantages, because I've felt it until now.

With the lingering "China" happening now to the crypto world the fascination you talked about is fast becoming an apprehension. The question in the OP now looks reversed: Can real money make cryptocurrency Disappear?

The Chinese government coming down very hard on ICOs and forcing some exchanges to delist certain cryptos isn't a matter for amusement because it did actually plummeted market capitalization since it started last week. Even here in the forum it has caused panic and caution among advertisers as there haven't been much in the number of signature campaigns floated since then.

Agreed. Other than the agreement that we all agree that a certain piece of paper has some sort of value, paper money is theoretically worthless. Bitcoin on the other hand is proven to be worth something. People put money and electricity into bitcoin to produce it so there's your value right there. You talk about real money and crypto but crypto is also real money because real money went into it. There's a market (sellers and buyers) for it so that makes it as real as any other asset.

What are the chances of living in a world with no actual money ?  Shocked

Low. I think personally that cryptocurrencies wont make FIAT useless, but I think that cryptocurrencies will work hand-in-hand with FIAT money. Especially in countries like the United States, and the other first-world countries; I don't see FIAT going anywhere soon.

Exactly as I thought. Fiats are needed especially to make a quick transaction or a transaction without involving gadgets or internet which might not be available or accessible hence using digital assets would be useless and would delay the transaction. Both digital cash or cryptocurrencies and fiats need to work together hand in hand to offer a much convenient way to provide more options to do a transaction.
I assume that bitcoin as well other digital currencies were becoming more popular just because of the increasing usage of bitcoin all over the world. For the growth in a sustained manner we need to make continued spreading in a better way. The same will lead for bigger adoption but this never leads to replacing of the real money to get replaced.

No, it cannot. The government wouldn't permit it. Legalizing bitcoin is possible but making it as a primary currency  of one country isn't close to reality because it would cause imbalance to the money circulating in the country.

Love the title...

"Real" money.
Define "real" money.

I know that money is something you can use to buy things.
Fiat does this, BTC does this.
I see no difference between fiat and BTC. Moreover, BTC if getting closer and closer to be recognized as money.
There is nothing "fake" about bitcoin being also money.

And even if we speak about fiat. What is real?
The cash that is being issued and replace, the digital cash in your bank account or on your plastic, the account you have on paypal?

Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will never be ready to earn paper income simply because they have a completely distinct purpose. Any govt to control the state requirements a managed currency, and it will always provide the actual economy, and bitcoin is a free forex cost-free economy on the Net. They will usually exist in parallel.

If you have read the OP you might not be looking for a definition of the "real money", what he actually means is our traditional money or fiat currency as we know it as it is our current medium of exchange any country who is independent has its own legal tender. Also you are right that Bitcoin has nothing on it to be identified as a fake because we have given it value, us consumers created a big demand that resulted for its price to grow like this. Simply saying Bitcoin a fake money is ridiculous.

This is true,no matter how bitcoin would be successful or progress in the future.Local fiat would really strongly remain no matter what and replacing it would really be an impossible thing knowing that governments wont really allow such thing to happen.Local fiat currencies signifies on a countries power and independence and if all decided to replace it with bitcoin it would really be hard to think of on what would happen. For sure there would be chaos.

I think with us using cryto then we can get fiat money from the result store or from trading result. it is very real because it has a lot to prove that investing in the world cryptocoin get fiat money. you can exchange your coins into fiat money with sanagy easily and in an easy way. you need a pc and internet to do that. and see your coins become fiat money. if you want to earn more money then you can use your coins for trading. in trade you can exchange all your coins into bitcoins. so it's easier to change to become fiat fiat

Without fiat currency we can't survive in this world, this is fix. Suppose all the govt accept Bitcoins also they will not ban fiat currency. If any country does this, then that country will lose income from people. Only those who are not collecting tax from people they can implement this in their country.

No, and it does not have to do it. Replacing fiat would mean a complete and radical reorganization of the society as we know it and this is highly unlikely.

- Yeah, cryptocurrency can not make real money disappear because it does not afford to do that, the number of people who know and use it is still small, and government of the countries in the world can not accept another currency replace their currency. In addition, the real money is still very popular and very convenient in the transaction, so people still prefer to use it rather than using digital technologies, want real money disappear is very difficult, even almost impossible
