Cryptocurrencies can't make real money disappear any time soon coz in order to make real money disappear everyone should accept cryptos as a mode of payment. Like if u want to buy something u can make the payment through btc, eth, etc., for this to work cryptos would have to be mass adopted and used in every mode of payment. This is not gonna happen, even if it does happen it won't be happening any time soon.

no, this process will ruin fiat economy and politics will never tolerate power lose.
It will possibly happen in the near future if the world is fully run by computer, but as of this time maybe it will never happen due to political activity and the game of life powers, and also the world today is not yet ready to make that happen because of every country's economics standing is not the same.
I don’t think so that in near future cryptocurrency will disappear fiat completely because cryptocurrency would be fully introduced across the world when all the world’s population are provided electricity, knowledge, computer and internet facility and mostly population of the world are deprive of these facilities still.

No doubt that in developed countries cryptocurrency is getting fame and it has suffered upto some context the fiat. Everything is possible in the world and may the time come when fiat will disappear due to extreme involvement of people in cryptocurrency.

I can see this happening because it doesn't take any skills or having an education to be able to obtain it.
It is all internet money or cryptocurrency as the people online like to call it.
So all you need is a data plan to hold, obtain and use it. Undecided
Yes I think that cryptocurrency can overtake fiat money in the coming future. It is easily operatable and can be used by everyone.Cryptocurrencies are getting really very popular these days.Since no central bank has control over the cryptocurrencies, the people can get full profits and taxes can also be escaped. For cryptocurrencies, you just need to have an internet connection and some basic knowledge about them.Bitcoin is at the top of the cryptocurrencies. The traders are also accepting bitcoin for trading.People cannot carry huge amount of money everywhere.Bitcoin wallet or blockchain wallet is the solution for carrying a huge amount of money. The privacy is maintained and only the receiver and giver know about the wallet.

How about if the government of each country would produce their own cryptocurrency based on their local currency? What if they will offer the transaction as free? and everyone will be provided with their own dedicated wallet? I think that's good enough, everyone can use it and everyone will be audited by the government.

With that said, corruption might be gone too. Since every transaction is recorded and the direction of the money whether in and out is traceable.

The title of this thread is interesting. The use of 'real money' basically says it all. The disconnect between what we view as real money, and everything else is a barrier that will be impossible to bridge, especially in our life time.

Real money will never disappear for the simple fact that there is no offline cryptocurrency and I don't see that there ever could be. I do think however they will complement each other.
I have same opinion with you. Crypto currency will never change fiat money. Since more activity we did is offline then fiat money is more important then.
I know everybody has different opinion but  for me fiat will always be exist no matter what.

It's price keeps increasing and increasing. If you have bitcoin or invest in bitcoin your money may double or triple. You can use bitcoin as a mode payment. You can earn bitcoin easily. There's a lot of ways in order for you to earn bitcoin. With so much benefits may be real money disappear by crypto currencies.

Cryptocurrencies, and Bitcoin in particular, are already making "real money" disappear. I'm not sure what you would consider to be real money though as BTC is certainly that.

In my own opinion it is not possible, Imagine how much money are generated yearly and they will just change everything immediately. Another thing is that not everyone can use or earn bitcoins since not everyone has computer and it will be a big disadvantage from them.

Low. It's just way too impossible.

Using online currency maybe pretty convenient. But lets consider that not everyone has mobile phone nor internet.

No I don't believe crypto currency can disappear money. First of all most of bitcoin user use it for some illegal things like drugs, money laundering so it has a bad effect on some countries. Secondly and most importantly not everyone is aware about it. Those who know bitcoins, they use money to paying which is most safe and fast way to pay.

It is a possibility, however if it happens, it will raise more questions about financial privacy and security. I am somewhat worried about the fact that my digital wallet might somehow end up to be someone else's.

Do you even think how stupid is that? Actual money are working by hundreds of years and there are trillions of bills over the planet. You really think the richest people of the planet will accept to convert their money into cryptocurrency? Under no circumstances that is going to happen. At least for another 100 yeas actual money will still work

Think that soon we'll face unexpected changes in the whole society. If cryptocurrencies will dominate, governments will have less power to rule and dictate. So maybe most modern states will fall to dust with their banks, armies, politicians and so on. And there will be another world, rather different and based on alternative principals we couldn't  imagine today.

Recently, more and more representatives of the official authorities of various states and businesses recognize that the crypto currency starts to displace the usual currency in carrying out various financial transactions. However, in my opinion, this will concern the banking sphere, the sphere of business, mutual settlements between individuals and legal entities, and also only in certain part of payments for goods and services in our daily life. In addition, this process will be very time-consuming and will take many decades. In general, I do not think that the crypto currency in the foreseeable future will completely replace the currency fiat.
