While I don't think that blockchain is a bubble, I am fairly certain that a correction is due for a lot of shitcoins in the next 1-2 years. At a least 30 % of the market is overvalued or simply superfluous. And to be fair, while Bitcoin may still continue to go up, I am fairly certain that its expiration date is already set in stone.

i guess it is not possible as the bitcoin price today many of the traders still trades it, and we all know that many countries supporting this coin and no one will stop this bitcoin for sure, that's for sure.

Hi , I'm new so basically I still have a lot to learn about the cryptocurrency , but I would like to know if it would be possible for the bitcoin to start the downfall ? I mean like what scenario can happen that the bitcoin would be pushed back like 5-6 years ?
Sorry if my post is in the wrong place or it's not relevant.
Just look at the past few days. The price of the bitcoin went down half a thousand in like a day. The thing that you must know when you get involved with bitcoins is that everything is possible and the price might go as low as back to 300 dollars in a few days easily if the massive dump starts. The price is fluctuating all the time.

I remember the day when mtgox scam happened, that was terrible. All people suddenly understood that they might lose all their savings on the exchange so they started selling it massively. Other people who saw that the price is going down started fomoing and selling it as well in order to take as small loss as possible.

To be honest at the moment, ethereum seems to be way better investment option short term. A lot of people are jumping in order to make as much profit out of it as possible, so I wouldn't be surprised if the price started going up again. Bitcoin is becoming weaker and weaker with time as eth market cap is going up.
Yes ofcourse. But cant predict that. We all know that bitcoin value is not stable right? It is possible to happen but i hope it will not. Because its my only sideline that i can earn easily.

Just the same way stocks lose value, bitcoin can also lose value but that value loss doesn’t seem to be in the nearest future because bitcoin is the new order of the day. Bitcoin is going to keep increasing and increasing till no man say.
humbly saying mates! But I am not agree with you ere because I am sure bitcoin is going to rock the floor of the stock market and the price and the Importance of the bitcoin is growing very fast and it is increasing the users of the bitcoin and more people are using bitcoin it makes bitcoin more popular so I think bitcoin is increasing the importance and the worth but not decreasing.
I do not think that bitcoin can lose its value completely.
I am sure there is a groupe of hardcore bitcoin fans who already got rich with bitcoin. They will support bitcoin, no matter what.
But they can only do that to a certain limit.
I think that bitcoin could fall in a really worst case scenario to a few hundred dollars, but not beyond it.
Yes, bitcoins are not going to lose values easily. They can be dumped by people only under special circumstances like when people lose internet connections, when crypto currencies are out of fashion etc. but we all know this is not going to take place so bitcoins will keep ruling out hearts.
Lol, only in dreams other currencies like minger eth, waves bla bla can surpass bitcoins. Bitcoins have thousands of time shown their real power and every time these shitty coins are unable to catch them or stop them. It is never going to happen that bitcoins will lose value. These are mere rumors.

Well as of now bitcoin is quite stable and after the 1st Aug event the price has picked up in one way direction of rising upwards only. Well if couple of more countries legalize the bitcoin in their country the price will rise. Unless if some major country ban it or a big exchange goes down then only price may falls else it does not seems so.

Yes, I think it is possible for bitcoin to lose its value but only temporary. It will eventually gain back its value or greater than before. As you take the risk in joining bitcoin, there's a lot of instances and opportunities you will face and I think it is the benefit of using it. Maybe it will hit rock bottom but there's only way to escape from it: it will surely go up. It is risky but there's so many things that are great in bitcoin.
I do not agree with your perspective. Bitcoin can lose its value forever if it is not good anymore and people do not want to use. There are many altcoins out there and some of them are greater and better than bitcoin. Moreover, if the blockchain techonoly can not prove that it can make the world better, it will not be used anymore and bitcoin will be abandoned forever
i am not agree with you. i think still people are taking interest in bitcoin and that is the reason that bitcoin price still continue to increasing. i am hopeful that bitcoin will continue to become more and more popular, because still people are too much interested in bitcoin and hope that they will continue using bitcoin for a long long time, and therefore bitcoin will also continue survive for a long time.

I don't think that bitcoin can losing its value someday. Of course the price will still going up and down but people will still using and mining bitcoin because its having the highest price, its the most famous and simplest to use crypto currency.

It can only happen if there's a global abandonment of Bitcoin including the black market and deep web its . This is very unlikely  to occur and that is why it will be very  difficult for it to loose its value completely.

If the condition like 5 years ago, where no countrys has accepted existence and status of bitcoin, it's very possible bitcoin can loses the value. but what is happening now is opposite, where alot countries receive bitcoin as something has a exchange rate to currency continues to grow. Which means, bitcoin has a value that will continue to grow rather than before and not just limited supply factor.

Yes. The reason for Bitcoin to lose it's value is when people will start selling their Bitcoins all at once and not buy anymore. This will drive the demand for Bitcoin down which will drive the value of Bitcoin down.

At this point it would be very unlikely but there is still a slim possibility, some well known millionaires and billionaires already invested on bitcoin. They definitely won't allow their investment to lose it's value regardless of.

Indeed it is unlikely unless we al decide to leave Bitcoin and for that matter it will loose relevance and value. But so far as we cannot all decide at one time to leave Bitcoin I doubt if it will ever looseits value.

True but we can't definitely be assured that 100% bitcoins will not lose its value. In cryptocurrency almost all is based in prediction and analysis which we can rely on for now. However so far bitcoins makes is stability in these fast years.

There is of course a chance as it is backed by nothing. If all the investors decide to dump it. Bitcoin will definitely die. But we should be concerned about the possibility of such happening which is at present tends to 0. Bitcoin being decentralised is not controlled by one organization. So for destroying BTC, a collaborative effort would be needed which is less likely to happen.

Moreover, if any new form monetary system comes into financial landscape which is better than cryptocurrencies. Then yeah there might be shift of interest. But as for now Bitcoin is quite safe from all that.

That's true, but the same investors may sell if they see things are not going very well. Fortunately, I think most investors are now more confident in Bitcoin, since it's solving one of its biggest problems, with SegWit, and soon we will have more things coming, like LN, sidechains and hopefully features that bring anonymity, such as Mimblewimble.

That would only be happen if the community of bitcoin and users will be gone away. But that won't be happen of course, bitcoin is just only starting the real journey now. Though, price of bitcoin is getting much higher compare 3 months ago isn't?

of course, it is not impossible for bitcoin to lose its value, bitcoin is a crypto currency, bitcoin is technology, and some technology could fall and forgotten. If you remember Nokia, you will think that it's technology couldn't fall because almost everyone in this world are using its technology, but what happen ? Nokia fall.

Everything is possible with bitcoin that's why losing its value would be possible because a lot has happen to bitcoin. As you can observe by its price, its fluctuating everyday even reaching up to $500 either ways but then if it goes down, it is still rising at the end of the day. Being more popular now, it is hard for us to imagine losing its value. Maybe if time will come when we will not use bitcoin anymore that it's price would eventually go down and lose its value but then seeing how countries are adopting and regulating made us believe that bitcoin will continue to exist for a long time.
But the thing is we are never going to stop suing bitcoins. There is no other technology as good as bitcoins and no other currency is offering all that bitcoins do. I guess until and unless we have internet, bitcoins are not going to lose their value at all. We just need to stay optimistic and patient with bitcoins to become millionaire.
