Would you mind giving it a shot in the latest MacMiner with -S /dev/cu.SLAB_USBtoUART in the bfgminer advanced settings window and letting me know whether that goes ok for you?
i did try that if I'm not mistaken and it did not work.
In version 1.2 released late yesterday?
Tried v1.2, this is what it says:

Code:
dyld: Library not loaded: /Applications/MacMiner.app/Contents/Resources/opt/jansson/lib/libjansson.4.dylib
  Referenced from: /Applications/MacMiner.app/Contents/Resources/bfgminer/bin/bfgminer

Damn that was some mistake to make, I knew I should have tested it on a VM it always finds the libraries elsewhere and I miss these things, thanks for the report!

Fixed in the new build of 1.2

So in uninstalling v10.7, trying v1.2, then reinstalling v10.7, I'm running into a snag.  Now when I use v10.7, it uses my GPU.  It will not see the USB Eruptor.  I'm running it from terminal the same way as before, with the same commands as listed below (minus u/p details.)  Not sure why it's not working now.

Code:
/Applications/MacMiner.app/Contents/Resources/bfgminer/bin/bfgminer -o http://pit.deepbit.net:8332 -u xxx -p yyy -S /dev/cu.SLAB_USBtoUART

edit:  wait, let me try your fixed v1.2

It works using terminal but will not engage the USB Eruptor, uses my GPU.

Using this command:

huh it should be working, if you add -G to
/Applications/MacMiner.app/Contents/Resources/bfgminer/bin/bfgminer -o http://pit.deepbit.net:8332 -u xxx -p yyy -S /dev/cu.SLAB_USBtoUART

does it say all devices disabled, cannot mine? I guess I'll build it from git again, perhaps there was a problem with it the moment of the last build…

Post build 10.7 that I had working the first time

Here's what it says, note, I tried a different pool, same issue.

Okay, I retrieved v10.7 - 1.1.2 from my back ups, it runs my USB and GPU in terminal.  I gotta go dude, ttyl.

edit:  no it's not, I'm so confused...

The only reason I'm running on my mac is because my asus needs reformatted.  Getting that done this weekend.  ARG!!

Just updated the bfgminer to a version fresh from github, can you give that a shot please?

I don't know what any of this means, but here's what it's showing on the screen at the moment.  Notice there are a few error messages.  I'm not sure if that matters:

Cool, glad to see that's working with the erupter for you!

Those error messages I need to hide unless debug is on, they would be in command line installed text user interface bfgminer but running it without the text user interface causes them to show. They can be ignored though, as you can see you'll still be able to get shares accepted.

So here is my update with 1.1.2 on 10.7 Mac Pro 1,1. Status = not looking good and using 1.1.1 instead.

When running Poclbminer i get this in 1.1.2 where in the previous it worked np :

Code:
OpenCL devices:

[0] Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU            5150  @ 2.66GHz
[1] ATI Radeon HD 5770

No devices specified, using all GPU devices

CPUminer currently works for LTC Scrypt based mining as it did in 1.1.1 so that is good to go Smiley

BFGminer worked in 1.1.1 and now it works but instead of a 165 Mh/s I get 60-70 Mh/s so a little stumped with that?  and Scrypt still doesnt work for BFGminer right? Thanks again!

I haven't changed much to do with poclbm window in a while but I'll have a test of it - it may have messed up when I made the version for .7+.8 the same… can you please give 1.2.1 a shot and report back on the latest version?

BFG Miner does work with scrypt, it's in the advanced settings! I'm not sure what's affecting the speed for you as I'm using it with the same card myself and I've never seen the speed so low as that, although I was wondering whether the default intensity has been lowered in recent releases - I use intensity 6 most of the time which is about where you start to notice a slowdown. But as I say please give 1.2.1 a shot which has a new version.

If BFG Miner stays slow please make sure there's only one 'bfgminer' process in Activity Monitor in the Utilities folder…
