I am using it to mine XMR. Easily 1000h/s on vega 64.

My whole machine with 2x Vega 64 draws 270W from the wall and does 2050h/s XMR. I only downclock core to 1080, overclock mem to 1100 and set temp target to 70.

Voltage is auto. At $499 they are pretty good value (as a 1080ti user). You will get faster ROI using 570 and 580s now, but I think we need to wait for bios mod tools to unlock vega's potential.

could you share your power draw in some pics? do u use any kind of kill-a-watt?

270 for 2 vega 64 + whole system I think it's not possible.....

Yes kill-a-watt. here's a pic of the rig

1.5x the XMR hash rate of 580s, same power draw. Godlike efficiency

It can be dropped to 250W, 1980h/s too. Regular 17.8.2 driver. BC driver crashes on my cards instantly when trying to mine eth.

Even though the price of XMR more than doubled during the past two to three weeks, the profitability of mining XMR is still about 75% of mining ETH by using the same hardware...
so I don't see too much efficiency gain of Vega comparing to RX 580 or GTX 1070...
of course, if you have free or very low electricity, and can buy Vega at MSRP, that's another story

I am not sure about that. Whattomine shows $4.90 for XMR at 2050h/s, and $4.70 for 78mh/s ETH. Additionally xmr takes 270 watts, eth takes 370 watts at the wall.

Vega isn't worth it at these inflated prices, but for $499 they are okay value.

I saw quite a few non cryptocurrency based sites saying that you can get 43.5mh/s @130w(!!!!) with vega 64. I'm guessing that's all bullcrap?

I guess it depends, maybe the gpu's the guy got are super binned, point is both cards he has are from the same batch which means chances of both are binned or he got a lucky strike is really high. I'd say is not false what he shared however saying every card will be able to do it is bullcrap.

I tried to get his hash rate to no avail. My best was 39mh/s per GPU.

I got 43 each as well on both my vega 64 but it was not stable with those settings. I run off 220V so cannot tell you what the power draw is. I am stable at 1000 on the memory and getting 34.3 on one and 37.1 on the other while dual mining now but my ambient temps are 10C higher so will sort out better airflow over the weekend and should get the 34 one up to 37 as well.

so I get 185 on zcash per card, but I didnt change my setting from my eth wattman settings or change any of the defaults in the zcash config

on balanced numbers go to 310

on turbo numbers go to 320

so there could still be some tweaking left to get to better numbers/power utlization

any others you want me to check?

I have two Vega 64 cards now, same settings same everything. One is capable of 1250 H/s on Monero, the second one can go to 1580 H/s o.O

My new best results with my vega64 liquid after moving to win10 and blockchain drivers

xmr - 1570h/s@130watt
eth - 44mhs@160watt
zec - 560sol - wattage didn't remember

dual eth+lbc still no improvements 41+220 at 230watt
it is old result with 17.8.2 driver on win7
Having stability issues with dual mode on win10 with blockchain drivers.
It works with default voltages and speed is good 43eth+240lbc but consumption is huge.
When I'm trying to apply downvolt setup that works well under win7 17.8.2 drivers or with xmr or pure eth with blockchain drivers - it simply hangs.
Maybe I need to give it more voltage ... but I don't like this way ))

xmr - 1570h/s@130watt

Impressive wattage for Monero. Do you remember what your Wattman settings were, so I can try and replicate them on my non-liquid Vega 64?

Wattman settings are not enough. You need several rather complicated steps ... I think I'm not ready to make it public yet.

I got my Vega 56 at only 200$ over MSRP. The blower noise is too much for me, I'll probably watercool it.

So far with it's standard bioses it wouldn't get the memory over 990Mhz no matter what. Core clock reporting seems to be off as well, or WattMan doesn't work properly with the blockchain drivers.
Core 1335Mhz/1.028V, Mem 990Mhz:
-40.3 Eth solo, 39 & 1.4-2.8Ghs decred, this depends a lot on the PL.
-XMR 1000

With 64 bios flashed, Memory @ 1100Mhz :
-43 Eth, can do more with beter cooling and power control.
-XMR 1250, with a much lower power consumption. Probably can do more here as well, anyone got better results with 56?

The problem is when setting the power limit @ -20 even -10 % the memory also downclocks so the cards performance by quite a bit.

I think 56 memory voltage is 1.25, while with 64 bios it bumps it to 1.35v so you can overclock it much more.  Over 80c you will get plenty artifacts so watch your temps.

I have tried Vega64 Sapphire but mining speed is not stable, Eth starts from 34 and drops to 22 after 30 minutes .
