I have 2 PCs with both 2x MSI RX vega 64 8GB both cannot use the blockchain driver, it shows grey artifactes on the whole screen on both PC, a few secunds after claymore miner starts. With only 1 card running there is no problem. Anyone have a fix for this?
Did you overclock it at all? or just stock?

But if you pay for electricity then air cooling is ok, even rx vega 56, just run at 130-160watt and forget about dual-mining. I have no vega 56 yet but I see no problems in flashing it with vega 64 bios and apply proper tuning then.
Thank you so much, my 56 now is doing 1585H/s. Previously it did only 1275 Max. This is with the blockchain drivers, and 64 bios flashed. +1 to liquid cooling for vega, this card likes to throttle above 70, while it obviously isn't for mining farms, my pc will love 2 vegas on cooling.

I have the same problem too. Blockchain drivers is unusable, back to regular drivers. 2x vega 64 rig, 8gb ram, pentium g4560.

Did you overclock it at all? or just stock? 100% stock, newest gaming driver works fine also with OC in Wattman. But in wattman i can't under clock the gpu very much. and i only get 37 mh/sec @ mem at 1175

My new best results with my vega64 liquid after moving to win10 and blockchain drivers
xmr - 1570h/s@130watt eth - 44mhs@160watt zec - 560sol - wattage didn't remember
dual eth+lbc still no improvements 41+220 at 230watt it is old result with 17.8.2 driver on win7 Having stability issues with dual mode on win10 with blockchain drivers. It works with default voltages and speed is good 43eth+240lbc but consumption is huge. When I'm trying to apply downvolt setup that works well under win7 17.8.2 drivers or with xmr or pure eth with blockchain drivers - it simply hangs. Maybe I need to give it more voltage ... but I don't like this way ))
You test hashrate on other alt coins???

I updated my rig now. Swapped 4 Vega 64 with 4 Vega 56. Running with Amd Driver 17.9.1 Vega 56 flashed with 64 bios Samsung memory on my cards Mining Musicoin (Ethash) Claymore config general settings: -tt 64 -ttdcr 75 -cclock 1000 -cvddc 900 -mclock 1025 -mvddc 900
Getting steady 41,3 MH/s per card. 130 watts per GPU at the wall. Mobo, CPU, etc already accounted for. With dual mining it drops to 38 MH/s per card and fairly low stats for the other coin, so I'm skipping dual mining for flashed Vega 56. I'm using the excess heat from my mining rigs to heat up my appartment, so in my case there isn't much cost involved with electricity during cold seasons

Interesting to see Cryptonight results. Basically a Vega 64 (or flashed 56) hashes exactly twice as fast as an RX570... for pretty much exactly twice the price of an RX570 (or less, depending on availability of the latter)... and less than double the power consumption.
If mining XMR is your thing, those Vega cards might just be a good tool for the trade.

I have two Vega 64 cards now, same settings same everything. One is capable of 1250 H/s on Monero, the second one can go to 1580 H/s o.O
Would you mind sharing your settings? After a reboot, I am not able to reproduce the 1580 H/s score Both cards run between 1250 and 1280 H/s. Just standard Wattman settings, core as low as possible, mem to 1100, temp limit 71℃, -5% power. However, this is not enough to reduce the power draw at the wall. We need to give rednoW some motivation to share his guide with us. A kiss won't be enough I assume. To get back 1600h/s xmr stop your miner, go to radeon settins, gaming and move HBCC slider slightly, then hit apply. Then run you miner again, here you go again )) Need your kisses )) Same results for me using HBCC, I got 1020H/s with vega 64 core 1150@900v and ram 1100@900v driver 17.9.1 (but with 17.8.2 was the same). I use intensity 1536 and worksize 16 and i tryed many value including 1500/8, 1000/16 1000/8 and many similiar. What's the trick?

The trick to moving the HBCC slider was true. All cards 1200 before. Moved the slider up one notch on each card and hit apply one at a time. Now 1550. At around 60% fan speed each card is going no higher than 65C. These same settings yield 41 MH ETH mining but at much higher power draw (1200W).

Still can't get what's the best instesity/worksize, could you share it please?

So, guys, I can write public instruction how to get 1600h/s xmr with 130-140 watt, 44.2mhs eth 180-200watt or 43eth+220lbc at 300watt. If I will find more efficient modes - I promise to public it too. But my current life situation makes me greedy. I can do it for some donation like 2 eth, I'll post my eth wallet address and will wait when it collect needed sum. Remember that I already make some help to community for free. Also I can write private instruction for one person. it will cost 0.4eth, PM me if you want. Sorry for advance, I really hate this but I have some money shortage now ))) What do you think?
If you are against it - I will shut up.

I'm noticing artefacts on my RX Vega 56, when the HBM2 is anywhere near 970mhz.
It does appear, that Samsung has graded the HBM2 production into speed and voltage groupings.
