I see Vega 64 benchmarks 34.4 mh/s for eth. I would think the cards can do 43-46 mh/s if a good bios with memory timings is applied.
One would be better off buying 2 x 470 or 2x 480 or 2x 580 or 2 x 570 or 2 x 1060 3gb samsung memory cards. The performance per cost would be cheaper if going this route.
Currently I see new 1060 and 470 cards under $240. At 22-28 mh/s per card, this is the best "new" card deal out there.
Where do you live? In US, I only see those for $270-400, maybe you can find cheaper on ebay, but not easily. I'm in Silicon Valley. newegg *had* a sapphire 470 "mining" for $239.99 The nvidia gtx 1060 3gb I've seen sell for $215 to $230 on amazon (wanna get the Samsung memory ones). SAPPHIRE Radeon RX 470 11256-38-21G 8GB GDDR5 PCI-E Mining Quad (UEFI) (Samsung Memory) Video Card - OEM OUT OF STOCK $279.99 $3.99 Shipping you mean this?

Did you have a brain damage? This card will never get to 100 mh/s, 100 MH/s was a LIE to get noobs to preorder what the scammers had preordered hehe

What about Vega 56? Are this cards not being sold yet. All I can find around the stores in EU is VEga 64.

Vega 56 has lower memory bandwidth compared to 64. Thus lower theoretical hashrate.

The vega 56 is a card deliberately limited to stop it being near the vega 64 . The memory cant go past 1000 mhz and that means the performance is throttled, apparently mining relys on memory bandwidth even more so I would guess it'll show in results.
Rx580 is still the best for power use. People saying Volta might be good at mining, that is next year

It might reach high 40s and low 50s with BOIS mods and better drivers. But that will take time

I feel that Vega line is going to become the last hope for ETH mining in light of diminishing rewards and rising difficulty.

you mean core? memory could go to 1900, apparently, but then power goes to 290w, hashing at 34-36 Mh/s, which is bothersome for $750. https://hothardware.com/news/amd-radeon-rx-vega-mining-block-chain-ethereumI say, f-k Volta. They already "screwed" up once, will not wait again. Nvidia is so much better, low power, mining soft is super stable.

It might reach high 40s and low 50s with BOIS mods and better drivers. But that will take time yeah, and by that time (2-3 mo), it probably would not matter anyway.

And what does the Claymore say about Vega hashrate? Or so far nothing? HBM memory has good potential but without updating the program part of a good result, it most likely will not be. if now you can get ~ 39 mh with overclock then with optimization will be competitive with the current favorites.

"f-k Volta...Nvidia is so much better" makes no sense.

Right now a R9 280X makes more sense than a VEGA GPU. In exactly 1 month, on Sept 25th or so we will hit the 2nd ice-age bomb and we will make 55% of what we earn today, not including the added hashrate AND if ETH maintains its price.
