around 28-30 mh/s on ethereum. most likely to be a clone of the 1080. not the ti.

1080ti = 36mh/s
vega = 28-30mh/s

1080ti > vega

Is this for vega frontier edition or vega gaming edition?

 Pretty much HAS to be the Frontier Edition, as the gaming cards aren't available 'till August 14.

 Doesn't look like the gaming card specs are a lot different from the FE though except the price (and in a couple cases the TDP) will be a lot lower.

 There is at least one Gridcoin-related project that is going to LOVE the Vega cards - they should kick some serious keyrates out on the DNet/Moo Wrapper/BOINC project.
 My best estimate based on published specs is that the Vega 64 varients WILL beat the GTX 1080ti or the Titan on that project, and the Vega 56 should easily be in GTX 1080 territory and might be close to the GTX 1080ti.
 This is the same project that the Fury/X/Nano are STILL right close to the top on despite their age....

 On the other hand, that doesn't mean Vega is that good across the board - that particular project has always loved the high core count of AMD cards....

I see only one credible thing in that rumor.

Quote: "...it’s a little too early to believe that these cards would offer such a dramatic performance jump. Vega launch day is less than two weeks away, so it won’t be long before we know the truth. "

I agree feels like AMD markeeting team is getting crowd hyped. From one point of a view its a great tactic, from another point of view if vega wont deliver the hype expectations - AMD will be puked on, so its better be at least 70mhs. Thats the economy. My personal expectations - are none, whatever world brings will adjust to it or change the world haha.

Gamers Nexus Confirmed but not tested RX Vega to hash 70Mh/s.  I trust this source a lot more than the previous, but again still untested.

I'd sure like to see a confirmation of this

Legacy signature from 2011:
All rates with Phoenix 1.50 / PhatK
5850 - 400 MH/s  |  5850 - 355 MH/s | 5830 - 310 MH/s  |  GTX570 - 115 MH/s | 5770 - 210 MH/s | 5770 - 200 MH/s

Really bad thing for vega is that at the time it will be on sale, the competitor cards, 1080 and 1080ti will ROI already Sad

It *would* be nice to know. We'll find out soon enough. I read that Vega frontier is ~ 1080ti, Vega rx56 ~ 60mh, Vega rx64 ~ 80-100mh on ETH.

Haven't seen these numbers authoritatively confirmed anywhere yet. Its unclear how the Vega rx series could be so much faster than frontier.

Supposedly, when the RX VEGA 56/64 will hit the market, AMD will release an updated Driver that will make the Frontier Edition on Par with the 56 or 64 (don't know if 56 or 64), so it is capable, but not optimized yet.

 One rumor from ONE source "gibbo" (sp?) from a UK seller quoting a "AIO employee" who supposedly said there's a big improvement on some unnamed driver version.

 I would NOT be shocked to see a substantial improvement from driver optimization, and likely some from mining software optimization, but I want to SEE double before I believe it.
