that weird transaction only appears on the block explorer that you linked to - i cant find it on any others

Attempted double spends are never confirmed so do not get recorded in the blockchain. When the node being used by the block explorer removes them from memory they disappear forever.

was that the same tx that the freebitcoin user was having problems with? if so, then it looks like it was probably sorted

and clicking through on most of the individual outputs it is clear to see that they were paid again on a "valid" transaction later

That is the definition of a double spend. If you send another transaction using the same UTXO with a higher fee later it will confirm first making the original transaction invalid. In the early days, sites allowed people to spend unconfirmed transactions until people started exploiting it in this way.

Errrmmm, let's try this again. I'm not going to disclose my customer's transaction IDs.

i think you misunderstood. i meant if you click on the outputs from the "invalid" transaction then it links through to all the other transactions that address has received. on that page you can see that coinpot has paid them again subsequently with a "valid" transaction (usually on 16th feb)
i really dont see any evidence that coinpot is trying to "exploit" anybody

Errrmmm, let's try this again. I'm not going to disclose my customer's transaction IDs.

lol ok, so it is then. good to know Wink
btw, you might want to check the "LAST 10 PAYMENTS SENT" section on the Stats tab of freebitcoin - some of your tx ids are being exposed there, from which its easy to determine your customers withdrawal addresses. thats the problem with an open blockchain Wink

That's not a problem, but me posting customer's specific TXIDs on a public forum is not something I'm going to do. With blockchain analysis, you can obviously find all our deposits and withdrawals, but that isn't the same thing as me posting something here after a customer emailed me a support ticket. If I did that then I think they might feel I had breached trust.

I am gonna post this again, JUST A WARNING!!!!!I lost some bitcoins and litecoins on Coinpot, and I already gave up, i am tired. I have 2AF code enabled, but my cell phone was stolen and now I've lost everything. I did not get any secret keys to recover (I'm sure), and even if I had a secret key where I put it? There is no place and space to put it on the site..Am I missing something here??
So my only option was to contact their support. Of course they never returned me, yeah thanks for that too. I probably sent 30 emails over 3 months and never got a reply. There is no twitter, facebook or bitcointalk from coinpot (all pages out there are fakes or unofficial- like this one). Support email just a scam as well.

I am not a hacker,. when it comes to computers and codes I am a noob and stupid. Also my honesty and ethics would never allow me to hack a website. But now I understand the motivations that some of this guys have. It's a feeling of impotence, anger, sadness, all together.

For this reason I love freebitco.in, great support area with quick answers. You can just look how TheQuin is active here on bitcointalk and answer any question or problem. On freebitco.in If I lose the 2AF code I still have the secret key to put it, if I don't have the secret key  I can still unlock with the cell phone number (by paying very little tax) . I do not want to advertise but freebitco.in  is a awesome wallet and faucet, I should have transferred everything before losing the phone.

So the tip I give you guys is to not be like me.  I recommend that everyone disable 2AF code in the coinpot (even though this is vulnerable with hackers).
If you lose your phone with 2AF active on coinpot  ... then game over

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS SUPPORT ON COINPOT, NOTTING IS OFFICIAL, NO NETWORK, NO SOCIAL MEDIA AND NO EMAIL SUPPORT.
iT'S ALL SCAM, THEY NEVER RESPOND
NEVER PUT 2AF CODE ON COINPOT, ALSO I WILL NOT BE SURPRISE IF SUDDENLY THE SITE WILL BE DOWN, AND YOU ALL GONNA LOST BITCOINS, LITECOINS, DOGECOINS,CASH AND DASH.

That's really unfortunate. And to make matters worse, their login page is insecure. Hackers can simply steal login info.

-sniped long post- ALSO I WILL NOT BE SURPRISE IF SUDDENLY THE SITE WILL BE DOWN, AND YOU ALL GONNA LOST BITCOINS, LITECOINS, DOGECOINS,CASH AND DASH.
Nothing really surprising here, ad-revenue type faucets usually come and go in exception to those that have a scalable features.
But Coinpot falls to that category though, the bad thing is: they are allowing ads which are 90% Ponzi scam "generators", cloud mining and investments that will surely become an issue in the future; and the rest, the usual referral codes.

Personally, I never had any problem with the site in terms of Login, withdrawal and email support since I rarely visit the site and if ever, just checking on my referral revenue.

As for the Secret key, it was given by (or requested from) the Authenticator, not by Coinpot.
If it was Google Authenticator read this: Backup Codes, then this: Using a new phone to receive 2-Step Verification codes.

If it was Google Authenticator read this: Backup Codes, then this: Using a new phone to receive 2-Step Verification codes.

The issue is not whether the auth was requested via the Authenticator, it's about disabling it in the event the user loses his or her access to the phone or app.

By right, support would prove the owner's identity before disabling the auth but with zero communication from their end, the account is as good as gone.

the secret key is the only way to recover the account if the person loses his/her phone or app
if they didnt write it down and keep it safe then well, yes the account is probably locked for good like you say

Before the Challenges system was taken down, I noticed an issue with my claims counter...  I claim from each of the 7 Coinpot faucets multiple times per day.  I always get credited on Coinpot for my crypto coins and my tokens, but my Challenges claims counter was only giving me credit for my claims on BitFunCo and BonusBitCoin.

Anyone else notice that issue?  Any ideas on what might be causing it or how to fix it if/when the Challenges system goes live again?  There's no way i can get to 100 claims in a day if i can only get there 2 at a time!

Challenges are back up and running and I'm still having this same issue...  I claim from all 7 coinpot faucets and only get challenge credit for 2.  Guess I'll just miss out on challenge rewards...

Either that fella is a skilled labor or some bot app is being used.

Can someone who's good at maths explain to me how someone already has 105 stars in CoinPot's challenges? It only relaunched a couple of hours ago.

Either that fella is a skilled labor or some bot app is being used.

just some quick top of my head maths
well its technically possible to get 60 stars each day just on the daily repeating ones (not easy, but technically possible!)
then once you have played the lottery and multiplier a lot to get those daily challenges, then you will probably get some of the "monthly" and "all time" challenges for free.
for example some of the low level "All time" challenges are actually easier than the daily ones!
and you might win some lotteries and you will get the bonus stars too!

needs a lot of dedication though...but i suppose that why they are called challenges and not just freebies Smiley

Shouldnt be a problem, as long as youre not referring yourself or bots to click on your behalf.

about challenge are using bot
you can not do more than 40 stars daily
and that's taking 10 hours, and I do not think anyone stays that long, doing that,
The multiplier does not give much and also is more what you lose than what you earn
only one answer is using bot, which hurt you wanted to participate
