The proof is right here:
Way before to 26/07: everything was normal, I was earning from the challenges, like rwinkel does, withdrawing everytime I could convert my tokens to at least 10000 sats 26/07 to 15/08: the machine gets broken, I'm losing every day, all of a sudden 15/08: back to normal. Just for one day. Why? No idea 16/08 to today: machine broken again
Just stating what has been said here numerous times: it usually works, the 0% house edge is believeable, but some days, you just have to lose, you have no choice, the machine won't let you win. It was the same for me, all went well and some rare days it got weird. Except now it's been like that for 3 weeks.
You can have bad days once in a while, but you can't lose EVERYDAY for 3 weeks in a row. I think the graph just speaks for itself.
You can't, for 167 rolls, lose 20 times in a row but never, at least once, win twice in a row, that's just impossible. ^^
this isn't proof of any sort of scam, or a non-0% house edge though! at best, you are just providing evidence that sometimes you lose on the multiplier - which is not a surprise. at worst you are just cherry-picking some bad data to try to prove a point coinpot has "0% house edge" and is "provably fair" - neither of these terms guarantee that you will always win, nor that you will always lose, nor that you will always end up even. as i have said before, if you are genuinely losing every day then why the hell do you continue doing it? do you like throwing money away? the only logical answer to me is that you are full of bullshit and just trying to make coinpot out to be a scam perhaps you have a motive for this, i dont know - but its very transparent and tedious now the same sort of accusations happen on all dice/gambling sites - see the freebitcoin threads and numerous threads in the gambling section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=56.0its usually people who have some sort of grudge against the site, or just dont understand gambling

You guys heard of the Monte Carlo fallacy? Back in 1913 when gamblers tried betting against black 26 times in a row, losing millions of Francs https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambler%27s_fallacy#Monte_Carlo_CasinoSame here, so there's nothing wrong if there are losing streaks.

I've even made my own verifiers for other websites such as FreeBitco.in's lambo lottery. Coinpot's provable fairness is very flawed due to the fact you can't set a persistent client seed when auto-roll is activated. If the client seed is constantly being switched on you then the only way to see what it is would be to click on the provably fair button before every roll which is impractical and impossible during auto-rolls. This means that the house can just choose a non-random client seed for you that will benefit them. Switching from high to low would only work on manual betting and I've never argued that manual betting is rigged. For automatic betting you have to stick with one side for the entire session until you've reached the desired amount of rolls. They of course know which side you're going to pick ahead of time in this case because it's set from the first roll.

Today I noticed that they now allow you to have a fixed client seed for auto-rolls. This is great news, that they were so quick to take action after the issue was brought up.
I did a test of 100 rolls and won exactly 50% of them. The only downside is that now the rolls are even slower than usual.

Super, I tried this fixed thing too roller 4 * 100, first time was +5 other three was about -50 each. I tried this autoroll 2 years ago and than never used it again due to results like this. I will stay with my manual rolls.

I did a few more tests today using custom seeds generated on random.org and setting the max amount of rolls to 10 so I could go back and verify every single bet in my roll history. My overall winning percentage came close to 50%. I actually came out with a profit of 100 tokens because I got a bonus when I rolled 999. It is possible that the site could still be cheating you depending on how you play such as not independently generating a random client seed or setting the max roll amount higher than 10 so that it's impossible to audit your roll history. It could also be that people are losing tokens by flooding the site with too many requests that their servers can't properly handle. Running a gambling site requires significant resources and Coinpot's main focus is on their faucets so we will just have to deal with the limitations of the multiplier game but at the bare minimum there is some semblance of fairness, in my opinion.

My complaint was that the seed was always changing. I wanted to be able to use a custom generated seed and have it fixed for every roll not just the initial roll. I never complained that I was losing, I know how gambling works. I've only ever complained about the verifiability of their fairness.

I've made both those statements and they don't contradict each other. In the past you could set a custom seed but after the first roll it would dissapear and they would generate one for you after every roll. in my view i would rather use a different client seed for every roll, using the same one every roll seems much more likely to be "cheatable" Putting all your trust on the site is more likely to get you cheated. I'm not saying you should use the same client seed forever, but keeping it the same for a short period has virtually no risk if it's strong and truly random. the rolls ARE verifiably fair (you can see both the seeds and the server seed hash after each roll in the history) and always have been, so it would easily be found if they ever tried to cheat
It was only provably fair if you trusted the site to give you random seeds when they changed them and not predetermined seeds that would be favorable to them. the very common misunderstanding is that "0% house edge" and "provably fair" guarantees that you cannot ever lose - this is absolutely untrue! if it was true, then it would also mean that you cannot ever win - and of course then it would be no fun at all! You are twisting people's words to fit your narrative. Nobody believes that. People were only shocked that they were encountering massive losing streaks so frequently or their long terms stats were so far off from what would be expected from a zero house edge game.

"It was only provably fair if you trusted the site to give you random seeds when they changed them and not predetermined seeds that would be favorable to them." what roll would be favorable to them? 367? 821? 999??? i'm confident that if you ran millions of rolls and kept tally of the numbers rolled they would be randomly distributed between 000 and 999. also remember that at the point they give you the seeds they have no idea if you will choose high or low, or which multiplier (2x, 10x etc) you will choose? so there is no way for them to even know which roll would be favorable to them and even if they somehow could predict it (based on some clever algorithm), then you have always been able to override the client seed with one of your own. or you could deliberately "reverse" your roll (i.e. roll high instead of low this time) and you would therefore win instead of losing. so any sort of prediction algorithm could easily be gamed by a smart gambler to work in their favor, and they would wipe out the bank! it seems simple to me. other dice/multiplier sites use a house edge to make their profit (e.g. freebitcoin has a 5% house edge but no advertising) whilst coinpot has 0% house edge but uses this to attract lots of players who will drive up advert revenue (this is where their profit comes from) maybe not you, but there are certainly others who post in this thread with their braindead "proof" that the 0% house edge is not real. but they don't consider that it is to coinpots business advantage to ensure a true 0% house edge to keep gamblers happy and returning every day to drive more advertising revenue. same with the challenges system, it's there to keep people playing and claiming from faucets (and viewing ads)

I think he just wants the thing to automate the purchase without the need to access CoinPotty, assuming the session is saved.

I'm stockpiling tokens as well - the interest rate and freebies seem quite good so far.
Couple of questions though - does anyone know if you still get the additional token bonus that goes with earning challenges stars each time you earn them through VIP rewards?
Also, in Challenges > All Time Bonus Stars - the stars I've earn through VIP rewards are not registering here. Does anyone know if this deliberate, ie they don't count towards this achievement, or is it a glitch?

IINM, they should. What VIP rank are you at? Assuming you're at Bronze, that's 1 extra challenge star per challenge complete.

from what i have seen you don't, as they aren't classed as real challenges completed - instead you just get the stars, the free lottery tix and the tokens from the daily interest Also, in Challenges > All Time Bonus Stars - the stars I've earn through VIP rewards are not registering here. Does anyone know if this deliberate, ie they don't count towards this achievement, or is it a glitch?
hmm, not noticed this, but it would make sense because (as above) they aren't really proper challenges. but i'm not sure, i will check this tomorrow!
