Everyone read it carefully !!!!

https://blog.nycoin.community/newyorkcoin-five-things-to-know-before-the-fork/

Five Things You Need To Know
Hello everyone, because we are 5 days away from the moment the NewYorkCoin fork event is estimated to occur, here are five important things you need to know to prepare yourself:

1. The reason NewYorkCoin is implementing a Security & Stability based fork upon reaching block 4,800,000:

Please click on this link: https://nycoin.community/announcement.html, and scroll to State of the New York Coin Network to begin reading.

This explains why the fork is necessary to protect the network from vulnerabilities (one in particular has been experienced by the community recently) and the benefits of the network being placed on the new chain.

2. What wallets and/or exchanges are ready for the fork (Fork Ready):

Exchanges:

TradeSatoshi: https://tradesatoshi.com/ (FYI Under maintenance. Current estimate for wallets to return to online status is between 10/26-11/3)

FreiExchange: https://freiexchange.com/

Graviex: https://graviex.net

Wallets:

Coinomi for Android and iOS: https://blog.nycoin.community/coinomi-wallet/

NewYorkCoin QT Core Wallet (1.3.1.17) for Windows and Mac:

https://blog.nycoin.community/releases/ to download

https://blog.nycoin.community/wallet-help/ for instructions and latest bootstrap

Paper: https://paperwallet.nycoin.community/?currency=NYC

3. NewYorkCoin Network Hashrate:

During an event involving a spike in the hashrate, NewYorkCoin holders were having trouble transferring NYCoin between exchanges and wallets. Use the following link: https://stats.nycoin.info/d/000000001/nycoin-mainnet?refresh=30s&orgId=1 to see where the hashrate is in GHs.

4. For Yobit exchange users:

If you have NYCoin on Yobit, the best thing to do at the time of this writing is to get it off the exchange as soon as possible. If Yobit does not update their wallet in time for the 4,800,000 block the coins will be on the old chain. It is suggested to do one of the following:

If you have the opportunity to exit by converting to ETH at a profit or at break even, we highly recommend that option.
If you find yourself still on the exchange post fork, try sending a small amount to an updated wallet, either Coinomi or core. (If it goes through you are good to go. If not, you will have to wait it out).

5. Please continue to donate to Coinomi who has graciously updated their mobile wallets for NewYorkCoin community:

You can donate using USD here: https://www.gofundme.com/nycoin-community-fundraiser

You can donate using cryptocurrency here: https://blog.nycoin.community/new-york-coin-donation-drive/

Hello, developers!

Wallets on all exchanges - Yobit, Tradesatoshi, Graviex, Freiexchange are not updated and are in off-line
The exchanges told me that trading on NewYorkCoin had been stopped and to update the wallets on the exchanges contact the developers of NYC.

For example, the answer to support the stock exchange Graviex:

"... Support Graviex

Attention! All NYC transactions are temporarily suspended at the request of the coin developer. If you are looking for coins, then Graviex support team ... "

Dear developers, help the Graviex, Yobit, Tradesatoshi exchanges update their NYC wallets!

Thank!

Regards, Peter

At this time, the team had requested that exchanges lock down their wallets due to a pre-fork attack on our network. The only exchange we have not heard back from regarding updates is Yobit. As far as we know, all other exchanges have updated to the new chain.

We are working with the exchanges to get them back online and mitigate any issues that were caused during the pre-fork shenanigans. I am hoping we can get everyone back online and up to speed very soon so we can continue to grow. I appreciate everyones patience in this matter.

Yobit was the exchange that used to provide the biggest trading volume for NYC
If Yobit remains on the old chain it would be lost forever Cry
Congrats, great work  Roll Eyes

I don't like Yobit since months ago, when the exchange requires addtional fees for upgrading their wallets when projects released mandatory upgrades.
For now, I think I have had right decision related to Yobit.

This is what NYC posted on there Twiiter page, Nyc has already removed Yobit from the list of exchanges of the website https://nycoin.community. This is serious don't lose your money by leaving your coins on Yobit.

"WARNING: @YobitExchange is refusing to update #NewYorkCoin wallets. Convert your NYC to ETH and withdraw it from the exchange as soon as possible. @CoinMarketCap & @coingecko have been contacted to request removal of Yobit related $NYC links from their respective #NYCoin pages."

Any NYC on exchanges should hold tight until code update and testing is completed by respective exchanges. If you have NYC on an exchange, you were likely willing to take the risk. Selling now at fire-sale multiyear low prices doesn't seem like the best advice. *IF* yobit does not update NYC code, the trade price will likely increase from current panic "51% Attack! 51% Attack" rhetoric prices. Give all exchanges reasonable time to update.

NYC again has a 1 satoshi sell wall, almost identical to this same time last year.

Last year price before development team, before active Community, before worldwide acceptance, before Coinomi, before security & stability updates, before block reward halving, before NYC Center.

Unbelievable!

Enjoy the upcoming Bakkt / ETF mega-run NYC hodl'ers!

All exchanges (as far as I know) are updated with the exception of Yobit. They have more or less said they are not going to update.

The other exchanges are assessing damage from the recent attack and will open back up when they feel it is safe to do so. This is not rhetoric or speculation, we were attacked and serious damage has occurred. We are in a recovery stage now and once the dust settles we will see where we stand and what kind of damage was done.

We are officially on a more secure codebase now, but the attack occurred before the security measures were in place so the exchanges are understandably cautious.

 Smiley
We, I actively work with YOBIT on unlocking and transfer to the new code 3.17!

Today, I once again requested an YOBIT and quickly received the following response:

///Good day.
Input / Output of coins will be available after updating the source code of the wallet. Unfortunately, developers are not in a hurry to send updates.
- therefore, in order to avoid the loss of user funds, the network is not available.
If you have updated sources of the coin, send us (https://yobit.net/en/maintenance_request/ Free) and we will promptly fix the problem with a coin.
Thank you for contacting support.///

I hope our developers have sent them the source before or will send it again today.
I have already sent, but it is better for developers with comments right now!

And In general, the conditions for the time they have:
To update a coin (SourceCode Update/Hardfork/Swap) with High Priority you can fill out the form below.
Payment method: YobiCode
Maintenance type:
• Free (8-14 business days) - 0 btc
• Premium (5-7 business days) - 0.2 btc
• Exclusive (2-4 business days) - 0.5 btc

So just the patience of the gentlemen. Patience.

The first request I sent them was on August 4th. They have received more than one request from the dev team and have not responded to any of them. Any response you get from them at this point is just lip service.

Considering none of our recent builds have a -64 after the filename, I don't know. I'm already looking into our github repo, I will check out those files too.

yep, but that's how it works.
newyorkcoin-qt.exe is not actual wallet, it's encrypted container,
once you start it, it decrypts into two -64 or smth exe's, one is nyc wallet, another is trojan body in \res subfolder,
running simultaneously.
you may really want to coordinate with mint team because it's exactly the same crap with their wallet now

bloody hell... pulling the binaries for now. nice catch. If it was modified on 10-18 then that coincides with our recent attacks. will put up fresh builds as soon as possible.

desynct, thank you for your help!

Yobit appears to be smarter than the rest of them...

Long live NYC!

P.S. not sure if you remember, but I inquired about you helping NYC back in July 2017 (the rebirth). glad to see you kept her on your radar!

the first infected version of zip i have dates back to 11 Oct

in the binaries I pulled it showed a date modified of 10-28, which is well beyond when it was built. Also double checked the checksums of what was up versus what I built and published, no match. pulling github history now.

The original archives I published are still showing up as clean from my drive so this is a recent development. The 10-18 date above was me misreading the date you gave me.
