when I get some new computer parts and then build a small spare computer my goal is to learn how to use linux. Always wanted to learn... think I will take the plunge. Sadly the kids wont be able to have fun with it so it will just be for my machines :/

Dual boot windows and Ubuntu, let them use windows, you learn linux. Its really not that hard and its kind of fun to learn the quirks.

Sure.  The yum repo is almost definitely needed for the RHEL6 ones as there are newer boost libraries in that repo.  I think the Fedora RPMS may install without any additional dependencies though.

Fedora 18:
http://repos.servertoast.com/coins/fc18/franko-130528-1.fc18.x86_64.rpm
http://repos.servertoast.com/coins/fc18/franko-qt-130528-1.fc18.x86_64.rpm

RHEL6 and clones:
http://repos.servertoast.com/coins/el6/franko-130528-1.el6.x86_64.rpm
http://repos.servertoast.com/coins/el6/franko-qt-130528-1.el6.x86_64.rpm

I'm glad it synced so fast. I just ran a quick test, and it took about 3 minutes from start to finish on a 50 mb down cable connection with 20 peers. Zoom zoom zoom.
