Hey, I'm a young businessman currently working on an exciting Bitcoin project to try and bring Bitcoins to the masses. Not ready to go public quite yet, but by the end of the week you should be able to all see what I'm talking about.

Hi all!

I am looking into buying a bitcoin ATM. Anybody with a cafe or biz in Melbourne, Australia interested in accommodating it?

I am thinking either somewhere around Melbourne Uni hoping the young kids will get into it or at Southern Cross station as people in the city could access it and those catching the bus out to the airport could use it to exchange their AUS dollars before departing.

ps Could anybody point me in the right direction to have a payment button for a website that links to the current market value. Thanks!

Hello I own and run Doxcade, we make tabletop arcade machines as well as LTC/BTC miners and have just started a gaming PC line.
We have accepted Bitcoin and Litecoin for payment for the last few months and  have had good results.

You can check out our store here – http://doxcade.com/store

We would like to put our products in the marketplace here and maybe offer a discount to forum members.

Thanks!   Grin

On the other hand, what are the legal implications ( minimal requirements) in running such a business of providing transaction processing software and facilitating transaction operations between customers and businesses? ( AU,US,EU limitations?)especially AU because i am currently there ?

thank you

In Australia APRA does not have a problem. I received this reply to an inquiry.

Dear Mr ****

Thank you for your email of 1 July 2013 about cryptocurrency.

The role of the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) is to regulate authorised deposit-taking institutions (ADIs) such as banks, credit unions and building societies and insurance companies, some superannuation funds, and friendly societies in order to promote the prudent management of financial institutions.

APRA has no role in the regulation of payments systems, including cryptocurrency.

The Payments System Board of the Reserve Bank has a mandate to contribute to promoting efficiency and competition in the payments system. For further information of industry standards and regulations can be found of the Reserve Bank’s website.

In addition, the Australian Payments Clearing Association is the self-regulatory body set up by the payments industry to improve the safety, reliability, equity, convenience and efficiency of the Australian payments system. You may find information published of their website to be of assistance.

I trust that this information will be of assistance.

Kind regards

Hannah Cole

Just curious, does asking to be whitelisted actually work for anyone?

is bitcoin currency as safe and stable as the japanese yen? think about it, the second best currency of the world compared to bitcoin. if the internet was a nation it would survive a day or two. plus, the reptilian elite is definitely not in control and they will use their predator criminal instincts to take on honest bitcoin owners.

It does, yes. I've personally whitelisted a few thousand people.
