The fact that BTC has scaling issue and BCH doesn't still remains. Not to mention the insane fees on BTC. BCH will be fine.

B2X selloff caused BCH and BTC to dump... I would buy B2X futures at the bottom. Segwit2x will probably happen anyways. BCH just reacted BCH will pump to 700 today.

Is this good are bad news for bch?
it's bad for bch ..the market rejects forks. just look at the real BTC price now

not sure why it is bad, this way bch will be one of a kind, more scalable and less fee. so I think it is good for bch.

gd news for BCH imo,  Smiley
now we have slow 1mb segwitcoin vs super fast 8mb Bitcoin cash ( the true btc upgrade )  Cool

$1k will easily be passed and soon $2k+ per bch will be a reality.

i joined the rocket launch at 570$... thrusters activated.. seriously the cancellation of segwit2x is a great opportunity for BCH to be honest. it was the better fork anyways but now it's the only viable one.

surely they'll delist it. there's nothing to trade.

it's gonna be interesting to see the effect this news has on bch. maybe it'll force more people to knuckle down and put some serious work into it. it might attract some more high caliber people.

Social Consensus prevailed?

https://www.coindesk.com/2x-called-off-bitcoin-hard-fork-suspended-lack-consensus/

Or... this is part of the plan?

Theoretically, if they are trying to anoint Bitcoin Cash as the true Bitcoin, then keeping the Segwit chain with as small of blocks as possible plays in their favor... since having big blocks is their selling point.

Possibly (and ironically), the only sure way for the Segwit chain to squash Bitcoin Cash like a bug is to raise its block size. Sending the big blockers that have backed Bitcoin Cash home with their tales between there legs. A small increase in block size will not effect many people as far as decentralization, because people mostly use hosted and light wallets.

Suspended. Doesn't necessarily mean cancelled. Next week they could be right back at Segpoox2 and B2X will head back north. Some lucky dude purchased 900 at 1USD.

i guess that's possible but trying again will be a waste of time unless they manage to get many more people on their side. then again maybe that's never really been the point.

When does everyone think the fork will happen now?

No need. Already done and it's called BCH Bitcoin Cash.

BCH is not a takeover attempt. BCH is an altcoin that is no longer related to Bitcoin in any way or form (other than keeping the same UTXO set at the time of the fork). Don't attempt to spread BCH propaganda in this thread as: a) It is off topic. b) BCH is a shitcoin. c) This is a self-moderated thread.

I'll update OP with the attacks mentioned by theymos and lay out everyone who was involved in them and attempted to take over Bitcoin. #NeverForget

No propaganda at all. Just stating a fact. Bitcoin Cash was a fork of bitcoin to improve the capacity of Bitcoin. You calling BCH a shitcoin is propaganda. #NoCencorshipOfFact

Whats up with Coinbase?

Here comes the skyrocketing transaction fees! I bet BCH hits 1000 by Sunday. 2000 by month end. 4000 by Christmas.
