Better investement right now, bitcoins or Altcoins.

I have invested in both Bitcoins and altcoins, although by net worth more than 80% of my portfolio is solely made up of Bitcoin. I don't have anything against the altcoins. Some of them (especially Bitcoin Cash, Byteball, Monero.etc) looks quite promising. But I don't want to take too much risk, by investing a large part of my money on altcoins.

What are you looking for? More profit or more stability? Ready to take big looses and compensate with big gains? In the end the risk/reward will be the same for both.

In my opinion bitcoin is good for long term investment but altcoins needs more guidance or monitoring because some altcoins are dump/pump easily.

In my opinion, it is much better to buy altcoins for a short term then for a long term are Bitcoin, Nem, Maid, Rlc, Bay, Waves, ad Adex and ethereum those  are good for holding in a long term. Because, they have good market volume in the market everyday.

But your opponent there is your emotion because if you can not resist it you can carry it and maybe you can do something that you did not care about

The truth of the matter is the answer is probably both as I am sure you have seen from this thread.

What is needed is a strategy - then stick to it.

If you buy Bitcoin now for a long term investment - IE you do not want to sell for 2 years. Its probably better to not buy Bitcoin since after Bitcoin gold is released the price will probably fall again as the majority of people buy back into the ALT market. So your strategy would be to buy after this when the price drops.

To buy up bitcoin right now to profit on bitcoin gold - probably means your strategy is too late. In other words you should have been buying bitcoin 2 months ago for this event.

The best strategy for now is to probably wait or maybe buy up the cheap ALT's.

My vote is also for bitcoin. Bitcoin is the father of digital currencies and I strongly believe that by the end of 2017, it is going to be at price more than 5 thousand dollars. Altcoins are just shitty coins, they are both wastage of money and time. Not even a single altcoins is able to stand next to bitcoin. Bitcoin is the only survival of the crypto market. Bitcoin is even better than gold now a day.

It depends on what you want to do. Long term investment or day trading .In my opinion you can invest in both bitcoin and alts but be aware about the basic principle 1) when bitcoin goes up altcoins goes down 2) when bitcoin goes down altcoin goes up 3) when bitcoin is steady altcoins goes up. Volatility is also a factor but with high volatility if you know basic chart reading there is a possibility of high profit but high risk also. Overall since bitcoin has already establish itself it's the safest and you know that it's have more room to grow.

If you are a day trader go for altcoins but today i think today altcoins loosing value but i don't think so because korea will launch the biggest exchange that will be partnering with bittrex UPbit.

Altcoin investment is a very good option but as far as day trading is concerned. Altcoin is good for short term investment. Yes exactly ease is with bitcoins. Altcoins are somehow difficult to use. Bitcoin have been made so simple and easy that everyone who just know the use of computer and internet can deal with it. Bitcoin will always be the best choice  for invesment, expert said that bitcoin price could reach $7500 at the end of this year. The most importaynt thing is bitcoin will never die,  so it is very good for long term investment. ETH is also good because the price is up by over 3000 percent since january 2017, but it still just an altcoin that the price can fall anytime.

Bitcoin is a good investment because of that huge price but altcoins is also good. In my opinion altcoin is good for long term investment, especially a new altcoin that really have a good project in the future, like investing an ICO altcoin. I have a friend that invest on an altcoin and have a big profit.

For me and others they are mostly buying BTC rather than alt because of btc going high and alt coin bleeding and dont know when to stop.
