I believe that we just borrow our lives from God. And He is the only one who have right to take them away from us.

I’m against the death penalty not because of sympathy for criminals, but because it doesn't reduce crime, costs taxpayers much more than life sentences, is more emotionally draining for the families of victims than life in prison without parole. and, worst of all, risks executions of innocent people.

You do have a point but I believe that the court especially if the case is subject for death penalty they will carefully analyze each details for them not to execute an innocent people.  Plus the fact that the criminal will just direand end the burden that he will face incase he regret what he did.  He will no longer feel sad or worried or feel guilty because he already died.  I guess it is better to atleast jailed them for like many years before executing.  So that means I am still for death penalty.

My viewpoint is very simple. Death penalty must be mandatory for premeditated murder. If a victim can't be given a second chance, then why should a criminal be given the same? Does the criminal deserves more sympathy than the victim?

No, there's no such thing is constant in earth. Everything can change for the better. Even criminals can change but, what if you already take her/his life by death penalty? How can he/she can be change? Every person deserve a second chance because not all prisoners are guilty.

In the case of recidivism, yes I do. I think people deserve a second chance, and rehabilitation has been shown to be way more effective, but there are cases when a single bullet would save a lot of grief and money.

I am a Roman Catholic but I strongly agree with death penalty. Death penalty should be used for people who does not deserve to be given a second chance in society, to people who are useless and cannot bring progress to humanity and society. You should first of all look at the statistics of the growth of crimes in those countries where the death penalty is present. Crime has never been afraid of the death penalty and this is proof even of countries where drug cartels are raging. There, even in prisons, the army is introduced to quell the killer.

You are wrong. There has been a marked increase in the crime rates, in countries which had recently abandoned the death penalty. Take South Africa for example. After the ANC government abolished the death penalty, the crime rates increased by manifold.

My personal opinion is that WE as individuals are responsible for ourselves. WE should suffer for our mistakes, weather it be robbing a bank, (which should lead to prison,) or committing a murder, (which should result in death,) under circumstances which proven guilty, and everything in between.
Pro's Include: Eliminating many future teens from committing murders because they see that the punishment is severe, not going to prison. which many think is cool; Getting rid of THOUSANDS of worthless human beings that will turn around and do the same thing the moment they get back on the streets, which is not very long. No matter what anyone says, it is a small percentage of them that really turn their lives around.. I have researched this topic a lot.. There are a million more pro's but these stand out to me.

Death penalty is established and given by the president of a country if many crimes occurs in their country. If it is established in a country, those who will commits mistakes and crimes will be punished by a death penalty. For me, I agree in death penalty. Because nowadays many crimes are happening in our world, and many people are using drugs that can result to fight then it will result to crimes. And if death penalty will be establish, many people will be afraid and will be scared to commits crimes.
