Just found another project KickCity, reward-based community on blockchain (ERC20). In their article on Medium I read they also want to use KICK token name... (check their Pre-sale details: https://medium.com/@kickcity_io/weekly-update-24-09-17-7851d4c55f5e). Have they contacted you?
And it's not a problem, right? Token is already registered and in use. I guess they'll be quite disappointed - KC is busy now and KICK either... Grin

That IS odd. I wonder why they decided upon using "KICK" as their token name?

How could they not know that "KICK" was already being used by KickICO's tokens?

Plus I think both KickCity and KickICO tokens are both Bancor protocol?

Seems weird.
The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

CAn i buy this token on exchange now? Like Liqui, Hitbtc or other?

Not yet. All tokens are still frozen till October, after that hitbtc will most likely be the first exchange
No, the first exchange is EtherDelta, it is already listed. No trades are NOT possible until tokens are unlocked.

I think you have it the other way around. KickCity came out prior to KickICO, both based in Russia with the former catering to the offering of tickets via crypto. City is simply now accepting KCs for payment.

Possibly, but I'm not in detective mode, wishing to only use the KickICO platform to launch YuTü.Co.in's ICO.

So do you mean that KickCity is "simply now" accepting our KICK tokens? Or are they using their own tokens?

In KickCity's whitepaper it says, "KickCity currently supports ticket purchase using FIAT & Bitcoins. In the next few months, we will support KICK, Ethereum and other ERC20 tokens."

So our tokens will be accepted by KickCity?? Or are they talking about their own KICK tokens? I'm confused  Undecided

Could be. Maybe they will work together on some projects in the future?

Seems weird that they're both based in Russia with similar names.

Maybe someone else has more insight on this and will post here...

Talked to KickICO representatives in Telegram and they told me all this is a coincidence. These 2 projects are not connected anyhow. Though it raises some concerns about KickCity project (not KickICO), because in their whitepaper it is stated they are going to sell "KICK" tokens for exactly the same price: 1 ETH = 3000 KICK, which is weird, isn't it?..

give the team time, distribution and ico such large are not easy task. they have a clear roadmap for the next days / week: in october (which is two days from now..) they are going to have the first ico on the platform plus tokens are getting listed on three exchanges, don't be negative (at least for the moment you don't have reasons for in my opinion).

KICKICO and KICKCITY both are different project, KICKICO wanted KC symbol but KernalCoin already took that so KICKICO took KICK symbol now first and will be listed with KICK. KICKCITY will change their symbol name to may be City later when their ICO finish.

I would have thought coin name and availability of coin acronym would be one of the first thing to be done when intiating the smart contract, not after executing the smart contracting and sending coins to people. Anyways doesn't matter now I got my KICK coins replacements too, what matters is that they have kept their words.

I think you have it the other way around. KickCity came out prior to KickICO, both based in Russia with the former catering to the offering of tickets via crypto. City is simply now accepting KCs for payment.

The tokens they are or will be accepting are the KICK/KC tokens which KickICO created.

Somebody correct me if I'm mistaken.

Bruno

KICKICO and KICKCITY both are different project, KICKICO wanted KC symbol but KernalCoin already took that so KICKICO took KICK symbol now first and will be listed with KICK. KICKCITY will change their symbol name to may be City later when their ICO finish.

Thanks, bud. From this point forward I will no longer use the KC ticker symbol when referring to KickICO, just KICK. As for KickCity's symbol, perhaps KICC or KICKY or KCITY or KCTY or KCKCTY (just brainstormin' for no apparent reason).

I got my tokens.

The kickstarter model has proven to be a great business model for launching various products.

I think Kickcoin has good medium term potential.

The only thing I didn't like was the hidden cap.  I felt a bit ambushed by that to be honest.
