Ethereums smart contract stuff is to easy to get wrong and to hard to make perfect (The DAO is a good example)

It's very clear, sure everyone will choose Bitcoin because Bitcoin has a good future and will always increase. Just look at it now Bitcoin has made a surprise.

Sounds like you mentioned all the reasons why ETH is more advanced  People always said that ETH will be the next Bitcoin. Since Bitcoin is having major updates, will ETH will launch into the moon, soon?
People continue to confuse what ETH is. It's not a competitor to Bitcoin. ETH is a currency that represents processing power over the Ethereum blockchain. Ethereum provides access to a blockchain for any sort of project one can think of (which is not possible on Bitcoin's blockchain). Ethereum is bringing the blockchain to businesses, governments, charities, start-ups, and fools who want to start ICOs (with no reason or purpose). ETH will launch, but for a much different reason that Bitcoin. Love'em both! |

I like ETH, its just newer but still stable and I feel like BTC has a lot of hype behind it, and once that dissipates it will come crashing down.

I think even if eth will launch into the moon they will never surpass bitcoins in just a moment of time. And besides have you look at the bitcoins value? It is tremendously high, from the drop last july then after the sigwit it increases doubled the price how was that? Eth can never do that today, maybe in the future but not today. Bitcoins is still the best and the most successful coins among all. |

Im a really fan of eth but my faith is always on bitcoin.
Of course, I'll choose bitcoin, the price of eth is far from bitcoin and its always good to hold it long term or even on short term, you still get a profit. Bitcoin is always the no. 1 of all and eth as the no. 1 in altcoin.

I would say for long term investment Ill go to the a strong and trusted coin which is now have the chance to go up high with its value, but as a trader all coins that I think it will give me profit I will invest on it, so for now BTC and ETH can give me those profit so I have to invest in both coins. |

if Bitcoin is king, then Ethereum is queen.
I think Ethereum will surpass bitcoin one day because of the tokens being built off it and the possibilities.

As most of the community, I believe BTC is the King.
It represents the future of digital coins and the rise of the blockchain technology.
ETH will rise as well and will keep its growth and its high value.
Saying that Bitcoin was the first and it represents why we are all here.
I'm a huge believer of Bitcoin for the long term holding more than 50% of my currencies value in Bitcoin.

I'll go with bitcoin but eth ain't a bad project. Some people feel bad about missing out on bitcoin and are looking for the next best thing, eth seems to fill that void and opens the back door to crypto "riches"

Maybe I prefer bitcoin because bitcoin value is higher when compared with ETH and bitcoin progress is currently developing so rapidly, but so also with ETH I think this coin has good potential in the future.

I prefer Bitcoin as this is really the pioneer and innovative technology in cryptocurrencies. ETH is good too, however, and very innovative when compared to the thousands of Bitcoin clones. The smart contracts it provides are a great idea on paper, and value may skyrocket if they are finally used widely.

I will not sacrifice nor compromise Bitcoin for ETH simply because of BTC having major updates. ETH is hounded with so many allegations about hacking, inorganic hyping, not real, etc etc. Bitcoin is solid as rock. It has no very serious issues that would destroy its reputation. |

Yes many people said that ether will be the next bitcoin. But i don't agree on that because bitcoin is the main cryptocurrency before others. So much better to invest on bitcoin but you can invest to on ether by using bitcoin. |

Once Bitcoin gets Segwit. You can bet your ass that Blockstream is going to do everything in their power to take Ethereum off the table since it directly competes with many of their tech for BTC.

I am more likely to btc, but I like both, I think IT would be bigger. But as people say BTC and ETH have different goals and functions. Let's follow the developments.

From now, I decided it's ETH. BTC is undergoing hard or soft splits and there is no certain agreement between its miners and influential people. In ETH, we don't have such problems. And the price is still low for ethereum.

i would go with BTC as it is a stable and settled digital cryptocurrency that has a decentralised nature . It has many advantages like the transaction fees is very low as compared to other methods worldwide , it cannot be stolen like any other physical currency can , no one can see our transaction and know our balance , no third party like banks and all can see our transactions , no one can freeze bitcoins ,they are user friendly .
while ethereum is still a developing project , i would use them only for investment , it has the potential to rise , it is said to be the next after BTC.
