I think Bitcoin will survive 100 years. It will be developed. New competitors will come out, but imitations will keep Bitcoin alive.

There are many unforeseen future and all we need to do is follow the flow. It may take hundreds of years. It may not be And when it comes to it. Probably we are gone and will become a story. Our children may also follow the paths we take and also order them to be their children.

I think maybe bitcoin will last for 100 years because i see the current price is very high .. but for the next 100 years i can not answer because this is a very long time, and the price is unstable. I hope bitcoin can last, in 100 years because bitcoin is my extra income.

I am asking this just to see the different opinions of Bitcoin community about its long term potential
I know Bitcoin is actually strong enough and stable as well
But what do you think about it after 100 years ?
Honestly we don't know what will be happen after 100 years.. and maybe i will be die early first before experience bitcoin after 100 years.. The best for now to enjoy what is bitcoin and thank to god that bitcoin still alive.. For me my own speculation bitcoin will be live for a long time and i think forever bitcoin will be alive forever .. this is just my own speculation and possible bitcoin can be short to live because bitcoin price is not stable and anytime soon there are some a group of hackers can be down the big exchanges that can sell bitcoin once they hack the big exchange site.. Or bitcoin will be die if there are hackers can be crack or bruteforce the private keys of every bitcoin address.. According to your information, hacking is going to pose a serious threat to the bitcoins in far future then you must see the other side of the picture as well. Bitcoin companies do have some sort of arrangements to protect its durability such as having security specialists handling such matters. Bitcoins will survive a 100 years possibly due to its present value in the market.

I think bitcoin will last a long time, because from year to year increasingly have a lot of bitcoin enthusiasts and the price is also increasing. Bitcoin will probably continue to expand widely in different countries over time and will persist. And I think bitcoin will be beneficial for the future.

I think bitcoin will survive, because its more familiar to the people and spread all over the world. Bitcoin is most popular in all currency and this is the prove that bitcoin will survive after 100 years. It will survive because most of people already invest in bitcoin. It will become success in the future, because its profitable and has a value. We think positive about bitcoin, as long as there is an internet access in the world bitcoin will survive.

Everyone of us might be gone then but bitcoin survives.
True, bitcoin start last few years ago and it shockingly became popular in just a few years and I look upon the possibility that bitcoin will still raise its value as well as this capable to be immortal and to be a profitable source of tge nation today to be successful and a stepping stone to step out from the inescapable situation where in money is the main source of trouble.

The capability of bitcoin to survive after 100 years upon its establishmentis do really possible because the massive number of users, consumers and supporters of bitcoin will surely make it spread and pass it to the next upcoming generations that will continue the usage and will surely improve bitcoin until it reaches the maximum peak of it that we are imagining right now because on that time technology will surely be highly innovated giving rise to a better bitcoin world.

Nobody knows how long does bitcoin will be, just like our life we don't know how long will stay in this world. 100 years from existence maybe but not so sure of that time, everything will be change even in an hour a lot of changes may happens. Still in the prediction, if bitcoin still embraced by most of that time probably its still alive and maybe it is controlled by someone.

It's like to ask Bitcoin price in 10 years... I can just hope Bitcoin will be alive and going well in 100 years. But when we talk about technology everything is very voluble, changes very fast and don't last for much time, that is a Bitcoin risk. Technology replaces itself all the time and I think with Crypto-Currency won't be different on a time frame of 100 years.

100 years is a long time in a governmental, economic, and currency time frame. If we go backwards 100 years for the US dollar, we will see a lot of changes including some big ones. 100 years ago there was still a gold standard. So maybe you can look at something a little more like 25 years, or ten years.

Bitcoin's value/price is actually unstable, the price changes drastically with respect to different times. It's hard to predict the expectancy of an unstable thing. But I hope it does make it up to more that a hundred years, but I'm guessing that the transactions would be different.

It really depends what do you mean by "survive". BTC might still exist but it might as well be irrelevant to the general populace as something new and big might come by to replace it. If by "survive" you mean BTC being the #1 crypto in terms of price and market cap? That might be it as well. But we've seen BTC already being challenged by ETH at this very moment with ETH passing it in both transactions and nodes.
No, and I would be disappointed if it did, thats stagnant AF. As much as I like bitcoin, there is no way it will still be here 100 years later. at least, not like this; it would be a legacy system people only used out of nostalgia. We already have better implementations of crypto in my opinion, but they simply arent as trusted as bitcoin is. primacy means something here. look at how much progress we have made with blockchains in general. It will take a generation that grows up with the blockchain concept to foster its evolution. after that, bitcoin wont even be the coolest kid on the block anymore. Think of it like cars. While we still have cars, many years later after their invention, no one is driving around in a Model T anymore. Bitcoin is that Model T. It wont be eth either. sorry fanbois... Haha, don't be so absolute now, the thread is about speculations. Until these 100 years come we cant know what will happen to bitcoin

For me bitcoin could survive even after a 100 years of existence. But if the government will see how it performs nowadays considering that its price right now is really high, maybe they will do something to regulate it. Many people will then try to invest or earn through bitcoins and as a result of this maybe some will be alarmed or they will be more interested on investing bitcoins. They will try to regulate it especially the government as there is no tax involved in bitcoin. Or maybe if the price continue to goes up many will hoard their bitcoins until there is nothing left in the circulation. I do not know but by that time, for sure I am already dead so I would not care anymore. Technology will keep on advancing with time and bitcoins are a part of this technology. Also bitcoin has proven itself beneficial to many people so it's funny to say that such a favorable invention will be wiped out from the face earth. It will survive longer than we can. One day governments will have to legalize this currency as its demand is increasing, whatsoever it will exist forever.

Of course it will as the last block of bitcoin will be mine around year 2140 so I pessimistically think that it will survive until then and for ages. As the developers continue to upgrade and withstand any incoming threats from bad sectors of the digital world. Maybe forever as it is the father of all cryptocurrency as long as the digital world exists it will too.
