I am asking this just to see the different opinions of Bitcoin community about its long term potential

I know Bitcoin is actually strong enough and stable as well

But what do you think about it after 100 years ?
I'm not sure, that's quite long to be honest. I do believe that Bitcoin will be more successful in the next years to come but Bitcoin's existence for that length of time is still questionable since it is not yet legal to most of the countries which means that it is not used by everyone as a currency which is a factor to consider on Bitcoin's lifespan.
thats right, i think the question here is is the government will choose to legalize bitcoin or choose to ban bitcoin? because honestly it will be very influential for future of bitcoin. if bitcoin continues to be banned, maybe i will think that there will be many people who do not believe in bitcoin and it will interfere with the development and spread of bitcoin tself

If computers and networks survive, then yes. Otherwise, no. People would use it even if it's worthless or illegal because it's first cryptocurrency. No one of us will know it because we all die before 100 years. Probably will be back to PDP-11 architecture after modern technologies because we will regret wasting so much resources in 21st century. But it can run Bitcoin and draw charts too.

Exciting topic, i dont think bitcoin can holdon for more than 50 years unless we have a revolution to popularize bitcoin to all people on the world and be accepted as a good currency.

Bitcoin price can't predictable in the future, 100 years again is still very long I think. After 100 years again everything maybe will change, but if many country and most all people in the world support bitcoin, bitcoin will still survive. Or maybe in the next 100 year again bitcoin will be legal payment in the world.

This why everyone dream of that this kind of currency will last after a hundred years yes of course this is the first currency and how about if there could be another so we should always support what bitcoin is right now for it can be survived.

If bitcoin want to survive after 100 years, it has tobe accepted by all people as a social demand and common to every people, or it will die in just 50 years

Yes it will last if it will be widely accepted.  It will sustain if everyone or there would be many people to support it.  Continued use of bitcoin will keep it last long.  I think it will reach and survive until a century.  We do not know, but I hope that bitcoin will gibe me a good fortune.

100 years is still a long run for bitcoin and we should not judge that bitcoin can survive after one hundred years because as you can see that there is a lot of coins or cryptocurrencies that are coming to the market and if there will be a coin or cryptocurrency that is better than bitcoin in terms of features then it will just be a strong competitor of bitcoin and it will replace bitcoin that will cause bitcoin to not survive for a hundred years.

It's too far away, even our lives will not come that year, let the next generation think about it, think what we can accomplish
Hahhahaha! That's true, I guess that time I am not here in this world anymore, but for me it will reach that long because of the power of bitcoin. As what we can see bitcoin is continue to rise even if there are a lot of new coins out there, bitcoin still its potential to rise and continue to make new highest bitcoin price record. I think in that potential that is already a promising that bitcoin will reach that long.

Although it is expected that within a hundred years technological advances far surpass current computer technologies, I would expect the bitcoin to still be alive by then, although I doubt that it will remain in the first place of popularity and capitalization that until today has been . It may only survive as a rudimentary crypto for collectors.

I confidently believe it will for a 100 years, and if ever bitcoins will be legalized then this will be the start of a new modern world, Probably the anticipation of cashless society might be realized and it will helps country to become more prosperous in all aspects of transactions.

Regardless of what bitcoin's fiat worth is there will always be enough to go around as 1 bitcoin is divisible many, many decimals/values. For this reason I say yes bitcoin will be around in 100 years. The only question is if it is still profitable for miners but I presume it will be, maybe somebody could clarify this.

Correct it will continue to circulate just as long as internet is able to circulate data and informations. I think Bitcoins and other cryprocurrencies would be even more efficient in the years to come. But about the miners, as time goes by mining becomes more harder as every bit of bitcoins is mined so they will also have to adapt and improve their mining rigs computing capabilities.

according to ane still predicted that the bitcoin prediction will be finished mined in 2020 and 2140 calculation is wrong. because as far as I know it takes 136 years bitcoin 100% mined so if calculated from the year 2009 then it will be in year 2145. assumption ane hell based on reward era in bitcoin divided into 4 years. which is still the 3rd era with 12.50 btc / block reward and continues into the 4th era with rewards of 6.25 btc / block in 2020 and so on up to the 33rd era with 1 / block rewards up to 100% bitcoin succeeded in the mine (most likely at year 2145). so based on this calculation bitcoin mining is still very long to finish mined

I do have a positive outcome about bitcoin since its birth of cryptocurrency.I do believe that it will last and will not be gone even if it was attackes and hack still it survived. It has now a very strong foundation and no one can stop it until it will reaches millions..
Yes its true and I agree with you bitcoin can survive after hundred year because recently [Suspicious link removed]ived to Thailand and still there a lot of countries remaining where bitcoin will go so I think bitcoin demand is going high day by day and every country want to join bitcoin so its mean they need bitcoin and once they accept bitcoin so the use will be also high.

theoretically bitcoin will last up to 100 years and as long as there is still trust from all bitcoin users to continue to invest or trade with bitcoin, but of course anything can happen with bitcoin because nobody knows for sure about it.

I do not think it makes much sense to ask this question, no one here is going to be there to see if bitcoin still exist unless there are incredible advancement on the medical science, if you asked something more realistic like 20, 30 or even 50 years then we could give a better answer.

Crypto currencies will survive 100%, but it will be bitcoin or not we dont know, bitcoin is the most popular so it has very high chance to survive and if it will get same attention and population like now in the future it will survive.
