Hi to everyone,

i've just followed the tutorial to set up a masternode (already with the monoeci wallet) on Ubuntu, but when i try to get the command "masternode outputs" it show me nothing.
I've already send the money to the address given with the command "getnewaddress 0", the transactions are confirmed (over 200).
I've tryed also to put manually the transaction ID on the masternode.conf on my wallet to go forward, but when i try the command "masternode start-alias mn1" it show me this error

{
  "alias": "mn1",
  "result": "failed",
  "errorMessage": "Could not allocate txin xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:0 for masternode PUBLIC_IP:24157"
}

What can i do? Undecided

make sure your VPS wallet and local wallet are both synced and you did send a 1k trx .
if you post for trx id, people can check and confirm. sometimes a new set of eyes help

Thank you for the info, i've just solved now. All the stuff were ok, but i've send the first time 1010 XMCC instead of 1000 XMCC and this make me crazy because the masternote won't start.
I've do that to cove eventually extra fee on transaction. Anyway, thank you for your help! Smiley

I am compiling this coin on Ubuntu 17.04 if anyone is interested as I need to roll out to multiple masternodes.

Can anyone confirm when we will see the increment to 5 coin reward?

i was able to setup the MN using the monocei   binaries..
also if done quickly, it is possible to make sure the status of the MN stays ENABLED.

Windows ( local HOT wallet)
1) Download the windows wallet from https://github.com/monacocoin-net/monoeci-core/releases
2) let it sync.
3) once sync is done, stop the old Monaco wallet and Monocei wallet on windows
4) copy paste wallet.dat and masternode.conf which comes from your MonacoCoin Core directory Copy and paste monaco.conf and rename to monoeci.conf
5) Start the Monocei wallet.

Linux VPS
1) Download the linux binaries https://github.com/monacocoin-net/monoeci-core/releases.
2) Stop the linux daemon for monaco "./monacoCoin-cli -daemon"
3) start the monocei daemon "./monoecid -daemon"
4) let it sync for a while.
5) once sync is done, stop the monocie daemon
6) copy the monaco.conf and rename to monoeci.conf
7) restart the linux daemon.

PS: in case you have issues with running lnux daemon, please use the following files https://www.dropbox.com/s/rbtwujk0wma2i1s/monocei.tar.gz?dl=0
these files are for ubuntu 16.04

setup sentinel as mentoined in dev guide.

wait for some time and check you MN status.

Just want to confirm that you renamed the old conf file to monoeciCore.conf as when I look in .monoeciCore the default file is just monoeci.conf

Great. Did you have any problems with sentinel? I'm battling a WATCHDOG_EXPIRED problem which is stumping me.

no.
my sentinel was working fine earlier too.
and even now seems to be working.

check your sentinel conf. make sure its pointing to correct monocei conf

and make sure u have rpcuser and rpcpassword .

Btw way when u run sentinel, what do you get?
also, did you add cronjob to run it automatically?

Compiled code with no issues on Ubuntu 17.04. All masternodes now upgraded to Monoeci with Sentinel.
Nice work by the development team. Look forward to the re-brand.

Thanks for the help. I managed to solve the problem. I had an extra line in my sentinel.conf which was not a problem before the new wallet (or perhaps it was but I didn't know it).

Does this instruction get around the problem not having Sentinel in Windows?

Thanks!

Never mind- still broken in Windows. No sentinel, no Masternode.

officially there is no sentinel for windows, even DASH doesn't support that, from where sentinel came. however if you google it people have been able to run sentinel on windows.  if you are using windows 10, there is also a linux subsytem, you could install ans use sentinel there. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wsl/install-win10

Assuming I get that far, how do I point the Windows wallet to sentinel running in the linux subsystem?

I have one VPS (Amazon lightsail) running Server 2016, which I believe can activate a linux subsystem. The plan is to have up to 5 masternode running in 5 VPS.

so your setup would we controller wallet on windows and MN wallet on linux subsystem. then the sentinel will control the linux wallet. both windows and linux will function separately.
