Also, what happens if I'm playing with just the 0.0001 starting bonus, play it up to say 0.0003 and then get disconnected from my ISP and my IP address changes?  The balance is too small to get cashed out, so does it stay in my account for when I next log in?

If you  have less than 0.0005 balance and you logout or your session is killed you will not receive any cashout. Instead your balance will be there for when you next play .


EDIT: Hmm that's very weird. I just tested it to make sure it's all good before posting this. However it's still attempting to cash out. It was one of the changes we made just before we released, I assume it wasn't implemented. Definitely consider this fixed very soon

I think it's good to have a max payout instead of a max bet.  But did you consider instead allowing a max profit per bet?  So the player is allowed to profit by 5 BTC per bet.  Then on the 2% bet they can bet 490 BTC to win 495 BTC (profit = 5 BTC).  I think Mr. Kelly would approve.

I believe the 5 BTC profit would hurt us a lot. If someone did as you say bet constant 495 BTC on a 5 BTC profit per bet, on average they're going to win around 490 BTC before they lose their initial bet. That's a hard amount to afford We could always lower the max win, but then our bettors who like betting fairly big on the 50/50 rolls will be neglected. It's a bit of a hard spot I must say.

I'm considering making a Chrome plugin that watches as you play provably fair games and checks the hashes for you.  I think it would add value to players who don't know how to check the hashes for themselves, or can't be bothered to.  And having it developed by a third party rather than the house itself adds weight to its verification of your fairness too I think.

With regards to your plugin suggestion, that would be great. I understand our provably fair can come off fairly confusing, so something like that would definitely be a very worthwhile thing for us to have implemented and would be highly appreciated.

I think i may have found part of the problem, for certain people like me in certain countries, isps implement dynamic ips, so everytime my router restarts my ip changes, dunno if tt could be a problem with the auto cashing out

This won't be a problem at all. Just as long as your IP doesn't change during a session. And even if it did all it would do is cash you out and you could redeposit.

That'd be so good for people like me who have no idea about 99% of the provably fair systems (Yeh I'm bad with computers )

If I were a little more paranoid I'd say Zaih is dropping these ideas that the RNG is skewed in the player's favour just to plant the seed in people's heads that they might be able to take advantage and beat the house, encouraging more traffic to the site.

The thought crossed my mind too that Zaih may be an "insider" drumming up trade for the site.  This thread certainly was great PR for the site in its first 24 hours, and much of that was driven by Zaih's enthusiasm. 

I could do with him on board when I launch doogdice.  lol jk.

I think you're off by a factor of 2 there.  The easiest bet to win you have is 2%.  Players win that on average 49 of 50 plays.  On average they would win 49 times in a row before losing.  So they'd win 49 times 5 = 245 BTC, not 490.  And then you'd win 490 BTC when they eventually lose, twice what they've won so far on average.

Notice that although the player loses 1% of everything they risk, you profit by 98% of everything you risk (on the >2% game).  In a typical 50 plays, where the player bets 1 BTC each time, the player wins 49 times, winning 1/98 BTC each time for a total payout of 49/98 BTC = 0.5 BTC, and the lose once, losing 1 BTC.  So the player risked 50 BTC, made a net loss of 0.5 BTC.  That's a net loss of (loss/risk) = 0.5/50 = 0.01 = 1% of everything he risked.  But you (the site) only risk 1/98 BTC each time he bets 1 BTC, so your total risk was 50/98 BTC, and your net profit was 0.5 BTC.  That's a profit of (gain/risk) = 0.5/(50/98) = 49/50 = 0.98 = 98% of everything you risked!

The Kelly criterion (for bankroll management) suggests that to maximise the growth of your bankroll you should be risking a fixed percentage of your bankroll per bet regardless of the multiplier, if the house edge percentage is the same for each bet.

If you can afford to risk 1% of your entire bankroll when offering a 50/50 bet with a 1% house edge, then you can also afford to risk 1% of your bankroll when offering any other bet with a 1% house edge.  Conversely, if you don't have 500 BTC to your name then you shouldn't be offering 5 BTC bets at 50/50 because your risk of ruin is too high then.

In summary, the maths says that you should set the max bet such that the player profits by 1% of your available bankroll.  As your bankroll grows or shrinks, you adjust the maximum accordingly.

That's  a good idea.  I use Firefox, and Chrome, but Chrome didn't seem too big on addon or plugin availability last time I checked.  What about the sites that don't release the secret till the next day?

I guess it could remember the details of bets that need verifying, and verify them once the secret is available.

In case of api_bet.php, return JSON response and parse it client side. Current setup is in-efficient, has repeated HTML, higher use of bandwidth.

As more players are now playing, the website is getting slower, you should consider more powerful servers or make the code efficient.

Same can be said for show_balance.php, it returns HTML. Return just the balance value and set it using javascript.

I was just looking at that as well, and agree those suggestions should be implemented.

Right now it's taking approximately 9 animations of the bet button before the result is returned
The webpage itself is also very slow compared to yesterday according to Chrome it spent 6.27 seconds awaiting the request for http://primedice.com then started to load the page content

Edit: Additionally is it you who owns the .net/.org and other variants or will it not be long before fakes come around trying to skim coins off your success?

* I guess the obvious would be to show a graph of the distribution of percentiles rolled - both for the current player, and for the site as a whole.  Break it down into 100 'buckets' (<1%, 1-2%, 2-3%, etc).  Then we can easily see whether the RNG is skewed towards the higher numbers (not that I imagine it is, for a second, since it's just SHA1).

* In my bet history, show me the server and client seeds per bet, so I can verify them later.  Otherwise I have to make a note for each bet.

* How about letting me edit the payout multiplier, and have it calculate the percentage thingy from that?  And let me edit the 'bet return' field and have it calculate the bet from that.

* A 'bet all' button would be useful so I don't have to copy lots of digits when making a last-ditch attempt to recover my balance.

Yeah, our rolls are becomign EXCEEDINGLY slow and this is a massive problem. This will surely be fixed within the next few hours. Thanks for helping point this out.

We realized with our current method & server, over time the rolling would become slower, but we honestly didn't expect this much attention so quickly. I understand how the lag is extremely annoying, so please bare with us as we fix it

Sorry for any inconvenience! Once this is fixed it will be more or less permanent and "half animation"rolls will be the norm just as when we released .

Honestly appreciate all your feedback. Have a notepad at the moment with everything you've suggested and will be fixing the majority of things you have noted within the week. If you find more things please keep them coming

I did NOT log out but just opened the browser after 1 day. I don't exactly remember the balance but it was lower than minimum withdrawal. I thought I would continue when I open the browser the next day.

As far as I can think, you are taking PHP Session wrongly in code or cookie timeout is very low.

Just go to your stats and then click "Logs of all your bets"
