Predicting that DGC will get a little more love again when the Doge bubble pops and Cave opens.

Top 10 wallets:

1: 791989.94000000 coins (~6.5% of todays total supply)
2: 375000.00000000 coins (~3.1% of todays total supply)
3: 279577.90000000 coins (~2.8% of todays total supply)
4: 247000.00000000 coins (~2.0% of todays total supply)
5: 225000.00000000 coins (~1.8% of todays total supply)
6: 200001.00000000 coins (~1.6% of todays total supply)
7: 200000.00000000 coins (~1.6% of todays total supply)
8: 162016.99280914 coins (~1.3% of todays total supply)
9: 141867.32123478 coins (~1.1% of todays total supply)
10: 140885.32683688 coins (~1.1% of todays total supply)

Perhaps better than most other coins, but still pretty fucking centralized.

Maybe one guy owns all of these 10 addresses?  Ok, I own number 1, 2 and 3. Would it help, if I split those coins into 20 different addresses?

most of those coins are probably owned by baritus. early on he held auctions for cryptoave shares and accumulated quite a bit of dgc. i was curious myself so i went ahead and gathered the numbers:

http://digitalcoin.co/forums/index.php/topic,125.0.html
10 rounds of 1000 shares each
20000+24000+26000+29000+32000+47000+52000+63000+61000+54000 = 408000

http://digitalcoin.co/forums/index.php/topic,201.0.html
16 rounds of 25 shares each
10250+11500+13250+10250+11000+10500+10750+10250+10500+11500+13750+11000+17500+12250+13250+12750 = 190250

http://digitalcoin.co/forums/index.php/topic,186.0.html
5 rounds of 100 each
20500+20250+20000+35000+36250 = 132000

=730k, so yeah that top address is probably his, the rest would be your investors. I dunno about you but if someone's gonna hold 6.5% i'd want it to be the guy most dedicated to it.

consolidation of wealth bugs me too but for a global system to happen like this it's probably the best it gets, and i don't trust any government adopting cryptocurrency will be any less biased. I would like to see digitalcoin reverted back to its old specs of 20 coins every 20 seconds though, perhaps when it becomes popular enough the parameters could be adjusted.

Cosmoo,

Going back to 20 DGC reward only gives multipools more to dump.  Current reward of 15 is fine as price has been stable since the update.

And in addition to that, The 20sec block time caused issues with orphans - the coin has been much more stable since the changes, that's why I support coins with capable and active devs only - not daft advertising campaigns and giveaways. When it comes to the crunch, this is a coin you want to be holding.

What did you buy litecoin for? If it's for speculation you should hold dgc rather than ltc (or doge from New Year's until sometime last night, lol). There is much more long-term potential in DGC now than in ltc.
If you wanted to diversify and hedge some of those DGC you should have bought bitcoins, imo. Litecoin is extremely manipulated by 200k walls on Btc-e. Not the safest bet.

Well the LTC I traded for DGC is worth more in LTC still than DGC into BTC at the time of the trade.

I hold about 58 LTC and over 20K in DGC, I made the correct decision. I can mine back the DGC traded with my hash rate and can not get that many LTC mined in a decent amount of time.

If I traded the said amount of DGC for BTC I would of - my profits. Also it only took me a small amount of time to mine the 2k DGC when I had 5200Kh/s mining power back then.

No need to explain your decision to me, I just wanted to know if there was a reason for it. It could have been that you needed ltc for something in particular or so. But the reasons you did give answered my questions fully.

Voted for DGC, but WDC is far ahead now I'm afraid.
