If DigitalCoin wants to become its own identity if needs to be able to transfer DGC<->FIAT as easily as we can BitCoin on CoinBase.  Using these third parties payers in other countries to get around the law is a pain in the ass, should be able to send $100 from my bank over to CryptoAve and get $100 worth of DGC in my account like CoinBase.  Yeah yeah, then CryptoAve would be a bank and fall under regulation.  Paypal gets around this in America, figure out what they've done.

Agreed,  the options on the exchange seem totally shady.

Whats wrong with Payza? UK based and alot of people use it.

Payza?  Never heard of it until the other day.  Seemed like it was not even operational when I looked at it.

There was some countdown to launch and some nigerian prince looking dude smiling at me from the front page. Not really instilling feelings of security.

It's definitely a secure service. I've been using it for years without a single problem. Transaction amounts totalled over $100k USD as well.

You can use your Digitalcoin to purchase CryptoAve shares at the exchange: https://cryptoave.com/trade.php

Baritus can you please answer me some questions?

When will new DGC website design be online?
When will marketing campaign start?
Will marketing campaign target media like Coindesk?
Who is Andrew Davidson who will speak about DGC at http://cryptocurrencyconvention.com/ ?
Do you agree that marketing is now number 1 priority?
Will DGC join this event http://www.coinsumm.it/ ?

Will CAve accept SEPA?

What do you think about current DGC price development?

Thank you

New DGC design will be up when it's completed and tested. It's currently in advanced development stage, I estimate a week to two.

Marketing campaign will start with the new site opening and USD on CryptoAve(within days).

Marketing campaign will target media and also will include paid advertising on many crypto related websites.

Andrew Davidson is known as rawdawg in IRC, he's in there often.

Marketing is number one priority, hence the redesign of DGC website, new logo, and marketing push.

Not sure of that summit, we will be at the other for sure.

Maybe in the future, C Ave will accept SEPA, but not for a while.

DGC price is following the same trend as the market, although I think it shouldn't be. Not many have dedicated exchanges and the same development that DGC is getting.

Regards,
Baritus

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

When you go to CryptoAve as a non member and want to look at the current market you don't appear to be able to browse around the site / markets without signing up.

All the links to the markets do is point to the signup page. This doesn't encourage people to signup - it does the opposite.

Right there you're shutting out a huge percentage of potential members. If you have some kind of logfile analysis program in place I'm pretty sure based on past experience working with many different types of website that this is going to show up as the last page users load before leaving the site.

As a non member / someone who's not logged in when I click this link on the homepage :

https://cryptoave.com/trade.php?symbol=DGCBTC

It simply redirects here :

https://cryptoave.com/login.php

If you go to Cryptsy, BTC-e, Bitstamp, etc as a non member you can click the currency pairs and browse the orderbooks, look at the charts, etc. Obviously you can't enter orders but you can see everything else.

This is one thing that's missing from CryptoAve right now.

I see them just fine. Of course this is three hours later so there may have been an issue when you were attempting to look. Are you logged in? I noticed on occasion the site logs you out without letting you know and then you can't view the markets.

Digitalcoin seems to being taking more of a fall than other alt currencies?  Shocked

I am concerned about this as well.  I switched to solo mining and p2pool mining DGC a few months ago and have seen the DGC/BTC exchange rate drop to less than half in the last two weeks.

http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency/coins/digitalcoin

High: 0.00027
Currently:  0.00013

I have been watching for 3 months and hand picked DGC as it had a fairly stable exchange rate compared to most other coins (personally, I considered it #3, behind Litecoin, in stability), as well as being easy to solo-mine with Nvidia GPUs.

I saw it dropping and dropping and just thought I'd hold onto it until the next event (Target to access DGC?  Smiley ).  But this steady decline has me wondering what is going on.  I thought it was related to the latest Goxing going so paid it no attention.  But now that Gox is out of the way, and the BTC value is greatly increasing again, the DGC/BTC exchange rate is still dropping?  Humm.

Did something happen recently with DGC?  I can't find any news so far on it.

There's one of your answers.  The news that gets out doesn't reach many people.  The other issues is that the masses have little interest in it because it's established (fairly stable) and has low block rewards.  In other words, they can't instamine it for mass pump and dumps.  Which brings us back to the first point.  It's a cycle.

That's how I understand stability, sure.

But that doesn't begin to explain what has happened in the last week - compared to the last 3 months.

People are interested in what they can make the most money on.  Right now it isn't dgc, its the coins being manipulated. AUR,mint panda etc

People seem to be more concerned with image than substance. In our case, we just have to show the substance we already have.

The new digitalcoin website will go a long way towards representing us and our capabilities better.

There must be investors among all the speculators who are interested in stability, esp online merchants. If mining isn't for them why not just buy larger amounts of DGC at a bargain rate? Maybe we will be more lucky once more people got burned from hundreds of pump and dump scams.

I've been away for a couple of days and I see the current price on Cryptsy is 0.00013239. Really? I stacked up Digicoins at the price of 0.00032x.

I really hope the value of this coin will rise again soon.

{Curently quite inactive as I'm really busy in my private life. I will get back soon!}
