Dual 6870's @525Mh/s
Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

It seems most people here are running GPU rigs.  That's cool if you use your GPUs to game and mine as hobby, but the profit margin is slimmer due to the high power consumption of the GPUs (unless of course, you have free electricity - solar, wind, etc.)

My hashing comes mostly from fpga(s)

1 AMD A4 Laptop - AMD Radeon 6480G - set at 25 MH @ ~ 65 W
2 Lancelot FPGAs boards - 2 Spartan 6(s) per board - 400 MH x 2 @ ~56 W combined

currently hashing at 825 MH

I've got 2 more Lancelot boards planned for the end of the month to bring me up to 1625 MH

I purchased an ASIC from BFL a month or two ago which I'll probably never see, but if by some miracle it gets to me it'll be 5 GH so.... 6625 MH

Hi, newbie to this forum (although been reading it for weeks) but I'm mining at 1.9GH/s.

I'm mining with two systems, one has 3x7850s and the other has 2x7950s. The systems are part of a private little openstack cloud I use for testing code for other projects on, since the rest of the system is pretty much unloaded except for the GPUs.

The systems are in milkcrates for max airflow.

The problem is your drivers.
Easy fix; uninstall the entire amd suite through the catalyst control panel uninstall in ad/remove or whatever.
Restart the machine and reinstall.
I have to do this every once in a while, whilst tuning a rig.
