Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

When I tried my Asus Nvidia GeForce GT 610, it ran at 10.25 Mhash/s.

When I tried Bitcoin mining, in 4 hours it generated only 0.1 mBTC!

I use it mostly for BOINC projects.

I'm pulling a massive 60Mh/s on my A10-4600m. Cheesy

Oh wait D:

Since I'm at my buddies house, I'll collect a bit at 460Mh/s off of his 7950.

I think I may buy an ASCI though.

I'm mining a cool 580 MHash/s with my two slightly-overclocked 5810s.  Cool

There are so many brands out there such as  *Link Removed*  or  *Link Removed* . It is very confusing.
