box 1, 6950 card = 334 m/h @ 875/1315/factory voltage   Auto fan, 61 degrees   Shaders locked
box 2, 6850 card = 185 m/h @ 875/1200/factory voltage   Auto fan, 55 degrees

can squeeze a little more out of both cards, but at these settings both machines are still very responsive for desktop use

also considering unlocking the 6950, but heard mixed reports re success with my card so am unsure...

66.2 on my GTX 460 1GB.

It's roaring beside me here on my desk... maybe in the Winter I can use this as my money-making space heater!

GPU Mining with a 5850 oc'd to 360 mh/s and 9 HD6950s running at 330 mh/s for about 3.3 gh/s right now. I have 6 more 6950's waiting to come online and am also waiting for some more fans to start overclocking the 6950s to at least 390 mh/s each. I hope to have close to 6 gh/s by the end of the weekend.

Ok, I'm mining these things cause I happened to have the hardware to do it for other reasons.  For those of you who have 6 or 8 cards going at it (or more), that has to be a few thousand invested in mining hardware.  How long will it take you to earn back the cost of that hardware and start turning a profit off of it?  For example, I realized i have two cards when I could have used just one for my rig for gaming purposes. I got a second card that until now has been essentially a fancy looking bar of gold - money invested in it, but not really doing anything useful.  But with this I should be able to earn back the cost of that 2nd card in ~6 weeks at my expected rates, so for me in six weeks it will have paid for itself and it won't have been a waste.

Depending on what is running around the house, between 3.2Thash and 3.5 Thash.

I don't run my nvidia cards, ati4850's or CPU on mining, they're doing something else - they might add another 300-400 Mhash.  And no, I didn't buy a whole stack of stuff, that just happens to be what I have.  (and I don't play games on my computers either - only sometimes on the laptop)

2.7 Mhash/s on lappy cpu, hopefully joined soon by 5850 @ 380 Mhash/s (ish)

System built for £250, earning approx 1.75 BTC per week, money back in 14 weeks? Not including electric, which is aided by solar panels thus tricky to figure.

What is peoples ETA before profit?

Running 2x HD 5850 at 320 mhash/s each (-v -w128 -f30 options, cpu clock: 850mhz, mem clock: 335 mhz) and another rig with 1x HD 6950 at 345 mhash/s (-v -w128, cpu clock: 900 mhz, mem clock: 530 mhz). Seem pretty stable but I still want to get temperature a bit lower (currently about 75-78°C)  Smiley

Running my 5670 with poclbm -v -w128 -f 240 when surfing gives about 70Mhash/s. Using -f 1 will boost it up to 82Mhash/s.
