I think yes considering the rise of crypto currencies in the market is in a boom. People who regard crypo currency with value by some entities would definitely replace paper money in the future.

No, digital money will never completely displace paper money. The banking system will not allow it to be destroyed, and paper money will always be kept for an emergency.
I don't think that cryptocurrency will ever replace paper money. Because paper money has been the currency like for a lifetime of a person and not all can join or can go along with the cyrpto world because it deals with technology and internet. Not everyone has access to it so not everyone can practice crypto world and not all can understand it that fast. It will take a lot of time.
I agree with you. thinking that cryptocurrency will replace paper money is very difficult, well, people too often use paper money for transaction tools, and if replaced, a crisis will happen to a country. and I think there will be other problems

No need to be such negative specially if we gonna to talk about about economic events. First of all cryptocurrencies need to be less volatile no matter which purpose it gonna to serve. Economy needs money and bitcoin is form of digital money Wink

Personally I say yes as our society becomes increasingly dependent upon technology, digital currency will become a more popular means of paying for different things and it is more effective and instant. I haven't used much physical money in the past 8 years and I rarely had any problems with that.

What do you guys think? Wink
I personally say no because we still need paper money for our everyday life. Digital money is too dependent with internet connection and electricity. Without those utility cryptocurrency won't work. When cryptocurrencies skyrocket, transaction fees also goes high and one more thing is it is unstable so this is why we still have to use physical money. Having both assets is the best and wise choice for me to avoid any problem or better to play safe if ever one of them will be compromised or will collapse in the future.

The only way a crypto coin would replace a national coin is if the nation controlled it. Economies rely on FIAT to control prices of everything you earn to everything you buy or need. As well as politician expense accounts and banking bonuses. I would say its more likely to maintain a 2nd economy status, a bit like Russia in the cold war days of having a very busy black market.

In my own opinion, Bitcoin or altcoin cannot replace fiat. Not everyone is capable of earning bitcoin and because of that, Digital currency should not replace fiat because some of the people will really have a hard time to sustain their life.

There are high chances for the replacement of paper money to digital currency, as you observe the history of currency in the early stages there was Gold currency which was used as a medium of exchange in Greece they followed by paper money. As the crypto currencies are not controlled by the Government, in most of the countries the central banking system is adopting the blockchain technology to their banking system as it is safer and secure than paper money as duplication of digital currency is not possible unlike paper money, so may be in the near future the world will be running on digital currencies.

I don't think digital currency will ever replace paper money. Maybe digital and paper money will be used by the people but to replace is impossible. Its hard to think that we are in the digital era right now but some places around the world doesn't have any access to internet or any gadgets. Most likely in the poor countries have this problem so they will rely on the paper money as their way of payment since they don't have things to access digital currency.

I do not think it will replace paper money in country where money is stable (we will always have US dollars). But since more people are connected now and in a near future everyone can have access to a phone and internet, some poor country might decide it is best for them to replace their fiat money by crypto currencies.
I think it will happen near in future, because the ease and comfort which is provided by bitcoin is far good and more than that of paper money, people are demanding for it because it gives high profit than paper money, it is helping in eliminating unemployment to some extent and helping people to meet their financial needs easily by earning in bitcoin

I am not agree with this topic. I don't really think that any digital currency can replace paper money. First most of people have zero knowledge about it. Not every one aware about bitcoins or other currency so first these currency need to be popular. Second point is not everyone accept especially some countries still not approve the existence of digital currency and most of currency like bitcoin is banned

Indeed, for now, paper currency can't be defeated by digital currency like bitcoin because some things we do not know the reason, every country has a reason why they do not recognize bitcoin as currency or transaction tool. I assume that every country has rules against a legitimate currency to conduct transactions in that country but I want to explain that no country can block bitcoin and I would like to clarify that no country bans the use of bitcoin but a country that said banning the bitcoin does not really happen because they are not banning the use of bitcoin but a country just does not want to be responsible for its people who make transactions using bitcoin so that if one day people who use bitcoin in the country experience undesirable then the government will not be responsible for what happened to him.

I think it could happen. But it will only happen to modern places like the city and the rich. The poor and the people living in the village may never know.

People will always search for the easiest and easier. If the transactions use smartphones easier than credit cards, people will surely prefer smartphone. In addition to being safe and need to login, people just need to scan the existing code only. Unlike credit cards that if lost, we must block it first. Especially if we do not know the amount of money we use on credit cards. It's better to use cryptocurrency that is not controlled by anyone and anything. Rather than having to use bank products.

I agree digital currency will surely replace paper money but we still need time that our humans are regulated with castes, rich, poor so altogether have to come up to an extent of using digital currency and used to digital system, I say this statement because today's Singapore is once a very poor country, it's all based on adoption of using, developing so once everyone acquire to that knowledge level of using digital currency surely digital currency will replace paper money.
For now we need digital currency and paper money also temporarily, we need to wait for the digital economy then we can expect this digital currency even from poor and everyone and then we can easily see that digital currency replacing paper money.  Cool

There is no easy way especially when upgrading to the most technology stuff.  But it is doable.  I also believe that digital currency will take the place of paper money.  It saves us a lot of trees (more greener).  Aside from that digital currency is the next trend of money.  It already started and just wait until every country will adopt this technology and phase out the paper money system.  It may not be soon though.

Both yes and no. I think digital currency could replace paper money in the future and it's the most convenient way to carry your cash around. But it'll take a very long while for that to happen, and there's nothing wrong having paper money with you incase if something goes wrong accessing your digital currency.

Although the future of bitcoin and other digital currencies is bright with increasingly number of people venturing into the digital world of transaction, it is still impossible for digital currency to replace paper money.
Research has shown that there are about 900 million people in the world who can not read and write.
Research has also shown that only about 40% of the world's population have access to the internet with the remaining 60% without access to the internet.
Putting into consideration these limitations to the general acceptability of digital currency, we realize that there is no way possible for digital money to ever replace paper money.

Digital currency will absolutely replace paper money as more and more people are choosing to use it instead of traditional money. BTC is on it's way to replacing the USD as the world's reserve currency because it's not backed by any and the Federal Reserve can print money, thus creating fake debt, at their will and loan it out to banks for 0% interest. What a scam of a system, BTC is a decentralized system. Much different.
