Personally I say yes as our society becomes increasingly dependent upon technology, digital currency will become a more popular means of paying for different things and it is more effective and instant. I haven't used much physical money in the past 8 years and I rarely had any problems with that.

What do you guys think? Wink
Yes, it will become a more popular mode of payment but not to the point where it would replace fiat money that we had been used to using for a long time.
Have you considered if digital currencies were used as a mode of payment? The high transaction fees that it has, suggests that it would not be feasible to use it for small transactions that we are doing in our everyday lives. So digital currencies can only be used simultaneously alongside fiat money.
It can't replace paper money. Bitcoin is still not be legalized. We use fiat money for thousands of years. It can't be replaced by a digital coin has just been popular for only 2 years. I like Bitcoin. However, I never think Bitcoin will ever replace money. Bitcoin is a great digital coin and it brings hope to many people. Indeed thanks Bitcoin.

I think digital currency will replace paper money soon! Paper money is not that safe and comfort also scammers can make a lot of fake money to pay. Whould be good to switch paper into digital money.

I think no because Bitcoin is an alternative cryptocurrency and still in infancy stages. Fiat is already an established system and has been using since the ancient times. What I see is they will work with each other and it will be beneficial to us.

I think so, it is not impossible that paper money will soon be replaced by digital currency because bitcoin at this point is not yet legally implemented by many countries. Most likely in the poor countries there will be the people will have this problem so they will rely on the paper money as their way of payment since they don't have things to access digital currency.

While the digital currency in the foreseeable future is unlikely to replace conventional paper money. While this is from the realm of fantasy. This recalls the question of whether there will be peace in the world. The fact is that the introduction of crypto currency instead of fiat is not only a problem of the economic plan, but of the political one. If the crypto currency will be used as the main currency in any country, it means that the economy of this country will be directly connected with the economy of other states in which the crypto currency is going. And in us till now some states are hostile to each other. And while they will be linked by a single currency? It is unlikely.

Nothing is impossible. Society today is increasingly dependent on technology. But in my opinion, digital money can not replace paper money. Although the money is convenient but it's value is not stable, it can not be used to quantify the value of an item.

If one of the countries already apply digital currency as a means of transactions, especially the country is the United States that has the dollar as world currency surely other countries will follow in his footsteps and paper money can be replaced by digital currency because of some things advantage of using the eyes the digital money. As a user of digital currency, I hope it happens in the future because although we should be able to take advantage of this technological development that has been created and perfected this.

I think when the time comes that the cryptocurrency are accepted in the whole world it can replace paper money, because many of the people will use digital money rather than paper money

nobody of mediaeval think that gold and silver coin can be replaced by paper money.that means nobdy imagine that without gold or silver coin anything can be mainstream transaction medium. but today we use banknote for transaction.
so i think paper money can be replaced by digital currency as the technology upgrading.but I don't know whether I can see its implication on my lifetime.because it is not approved by all the government, it not stable yet.some digital currencies are volatile. they need time to be stabled.with the flow of time it will achieve trust of the people, and that is the main thing for digital.
but most important thing is development and availability of the technology.
if all this happen then paper money can be replaced by digital currency.

No, I don't think so as we'll still need paper money for some purposes. But I'm sure digital currencies will take a greater place in the future, and maybe paper money will have its value based on digital currency instead of fiat.

There is a huge possibility than it will happen in the near future. There are already markets that accept digital currency payment. Digital money has a lot of advantages than paper money. You can bring a large amount of digital currency anywhere, you just need an internet to access to you digital wallet. It can really happen.

Nope. Many people in other parts of the world are very poor. Some don't even have money in the bank nor access to internet connection. However, it seems to be possible in First World countries.

Definitely Yes in the coming years. In fact, It already started. And we are in the process of making it possible because not everyone has the knowledge about digital currency because not all concerned agrees with this idea for now but definitely, this is our future.

I dont think so. Digital currency will not replace paper money because
1. Bitcoin has no underlying and not centralized. 2. In addition, Bitcoin does not have a deposit and credit mechanism like a conventional currency.
3. In terms of function, Bitcoin can only fulfill some functions of currency that is as a means of payment.
4. Bitcoin as a means of exchange and paying equipment such as gold, diamonds, banknotes, stocks, commodities whose value is a general consensus of acceptance and public trust.
5. Bitcoin exchange rate changes over time and fluctuates. In the future Bitcoin will remain one of the alternative currencies

Nope. Many people in other parts of the world are very poor. Some don't even have money in the bank nor access to internet connection. However, it seems to be possible in First World countries.

We would always be divided by the fact that there are places where Internet is not used at all. There are places where there are no mobiles at all and people have chosen to remain primitive. This is not questionable at all since there are tribes that really respect their beliefs and even with the modern world outside of their tribe, they will choose to continue to be like that. It's not as if they have no idea of what's going on in this world, it's just that they love their traditional ways so much that they don't want to change it at all. They are passing the tradition from generation to another and so on with hopes that the tribe will continue to live for long.

I think the question here only applies to the part of the world where it is developing in technology. Like, in the cities and towns where innovation is actually embraced. It's possible for a country to change its culture about the payment method that they are using but it's also possible for other countries to NOT be able to change it even though they would want to. This is why digital currencies will be used so much in other places, seldom in some places, and not at all at some places. Which means digital currency will never replace paper money, at least not in our lifetime.
